I still had to wait too long to get the window repaired but they followed up and did the right thing. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I bought a window from Great Lakes Home Renovations 7 years ago. Recently I haven't been able to close the window properly and there's a big gap so I called for service repair. After the "5-7 days it would take to get a call back" I never heard from anyone so I tried contacting them multiple times leaving many messages with both the receptionist and person I was told that was assigned to my case, Derrick. Finally, after many attempts, I reached Derrick in the office. He never apologized for not getting back to me. Mind you, I live in Minnesota and we are currently experiencing sub-below temps and I have a window that won't close and freezing cold air is pouring into my house. Derrick informed me that the window installation is only covered for the first 2 years and it will cost me $75 for them to come out and look at it. He seemed to be put out by my request to have the window fixed and asked if I still wanted them to come out. Really??? I'm the most upset about 3 things; 1. The terrible customer service 2. The poor quality of the window because even though it's been 7 years I shouldn't be having trouble shutting it. 3. My bad, because I thought the window had a lifetime guarantee. Buyer beware!

Also told them of the wall outlet that doesn't work and the person I talked to said he would look at it while he was here. Well, another worker showed up, didn't know anything about the outlet and it took 4 hours to replace the tile. I didn't check the tile until after the worker left as they had been often I figured they could at least get the color right. I cannot express enough how difficult it has been to work with thia company and would not recommend them to anyone.

Layne came to our home and did an excellent job explaining the different rebate options, financing plans, and the entire insulation process. He made everything easy to understand and stress-free. Alexis and Tarik handled the actual work. They removed all of our old attic insulation, sealed any openings, and installed new insulation that helps repel mice and bugs. We are extremely pleased with the whole result. The roofers performed their job in just over a day, they pulled back the siding in places to ensure flashing was placed up the walls for proper water run off. The siding team took just over two days to tear off the old siding, perform some wall repair from window rot, install underlayment and then the new siding. Gary was instrumental in guiding us for a quality siding product and using his experience to add highlights that makes the home stand out. He decided he wanted to save money and finish the sheet rocking, mudding and taping himself. Let's just say it was the worst job by a so called professional I've ever seen! He tried to fix it and actually made it worse. I now have bowed ceiling and uneven walls that I have to look at every day. His fix it idea was to use a flat paint to hide what he did. You can pretty much see everywhere he taped and mudded seams and screws. He forgot to cut out for vents and electrical sockets, ect. A professional would have fixed it by scimming over the walls, or hired a true professional, but instead he decided to stop answering calls and text messages. I would stay clear of hiring Gary for any project!
