LIK Fine Art Venetian is a fascinating and gorgeous gallery! You'll find the incredible work by Peter Lik located in The Venetian Grand Canal Shoppes, near the Pearl Factory. Photography is not allowed. Peter Lik produces high quality resolution images of nature and iconic landscapes, and all of his works are copyrighted. It's still a wonderful experience touring the gallery and to simply admire its beauty. He does have other locations in Las Vegas. I was sitting in the darker room with the horse photograph and couches for maybe 30 seconds looking at a photography book of some of the photos for sale in the gallery to see where the pictures were taken and who they were taken by BC none of the pieces in the gallery have any info next to them unlike almost every other gallery I've ever been to . After about 30 seconds I was very rudely and abruptly interrupted by a salesperson that said I needed to immediately leave because they were doing a sales pitch in that room and they wanted to keep the clientele rotating . He was a slimy guy with dark hair and glasses . Didn't catch his name unfortunately . My question is , why have that room there at all then if you don't want people to sit down on the couches and look through your photo books ? Why have a rude salesperson who obviously doesn't care about anyone coming into the gallery but how much money he can make ? No sorry , no it'll just be a few minutes , no thank you for understanding , just they're trying to buy a piece , wouldn't even look me in the eye . You don't know how much money I have , maybe I want to buy a piece worth twice as much . Well I know now I won't be coming back or promoting it to my friends . We went to Las Vegas and eat dinner , after that, i see the gallery of Peter Lik, and the person that took care of us is Ethan Schultz,,who is very detailed and very warmth reception towards us, explaining things and showing us the importance of having one of the Peter Lik photography, it is so fascinating to hear him explain and demonstrating to us how to adjust the light to have a better view on every angle of the light. When you spend $5000 on a photograph to hang in your house you kind a hope you get what you order. We ordered actually two prints from Mr. Lik. Our sales person seemed like a very nice guy and made sure that he laid out the print with the exact frame and recommended that we take a picture exactly what we'd be receiving. I'm glad we did that. However the folks at Peter Lik don't seem to understand what real customer service is. We received two framed photos both of which had black frames. We did not order black frames but it was shipped to our house. We contacted customer service immediately talked about our concerns and they said they'd be more than happy to charge us around $3000 to reframe it! I just can't believe that after being a customer of Peter Lik for the past 12 years that they will treat their customers this way. This was actually the fourth and fifth photo that we have purchased from this group. The black frames that we received on both of our prints is one thing. However the fact that we didn't even complain about the second print that we hung in our bedroom let's the gallery off the hook for 50% of their screw-up!!! Make damned sure you get something in writing to guarantee your purchase should they not ship you what you ordered! read more

His gallery exhibits some of his famous pieces, that range from $4K to $40K+. I saw a amazing wall sized 4 panel piece. This piece was $25K just for the framing. The price of the print depends on the picture. Only 300 of each image is released. When the image is new, the the price is roughly $4K. As the images become sold out the price appreciates to $40K. If you purchase a wall sized 4 panel picture, plus an almost sold out image, it would cost you $25K + 40K, roughly $65K. The price of a car! The framing is done with the same glass used on an airplane windsheild. It is supposed to be bullet proof!! A multi-purpose frame, does that justify the pricing? The framing can be used to dodge bullets and not just for a pretty piece of art. The framing is also suppose to fight the effects of fading for a lifetime. There are these cool side rooms in the gallery where you can change the lighting. When the lighting is changed on these pictures, the images become almost 3D and alive. We were astonished and amazed at every unique image around each turn in the gallery. We were met by the MOST friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, Simon Wu. He was able to show us how the images transform in lighting, and we were sold! Roughly three weeks ago, my family and I were in Vegas for some R & R. The last time I was in town, I walked to the Venetian with relatives from the strip and hated it because it took forever to get there. As I was with my sisters and their children, I thought it would be better to drive there. No one even wanted to come here, but I told them they had to because it was really pretty and it would be nice for the kids to maybe ride the gondola. They obliged. As we had a show to attend, we only had a few hours to spare at the Venetian. As soon as I walked in, the first thing that caught my eye was the Lik Gallery so I walked in. I had no idea who Peter Lik was and what he was about, but something about the photographs at the entrance of the gallery got me and pulled me in. I turned to my sisters and told them to come check out the stuff. After about a minute of browsing, Jason came over to me and struck up a conversation. Before I knew it, we were in a private room and he was explaining everything to us from who Peter was and what he was all about and how his photographs worked. We were all ooooooh and aaaaaaah and whaaaaaaaaaaat. As soon as he started dimming the lights and the photographs began to look different I was sold. Our plan that day was to walk around the Venetian, but we ended up spending three or so hours at the gallery. And it was such a pleasant experience. I say that because the kids (ages 7 to 15) didn't complain that they were bored. They sat there with us enjoying everything they saw. My sisters ended up each buying a piece. We went in just to enjoy the gallery and walked out with all kinds of goodies. I just have to give a special shoutout to Jason. He was great. Not at all pushy and quite the opposite of a salesman. Typically, sales folks are pushy and a bit annoying. We've all been there. Not Jason. He was totally chill. My sister in San Diego already received her purchase and is loving it. My sister in New Jersey should be getting hers pretty soon. She requested for it to be mailed at a different time. Thank you Jason and the whole team for a great experience. read more

By far my favorite FAVORITE photographer of all time. His work was my inspiration for my own tiny photography career. And inspired me to even do black and white prints so I could develop a better understanding of depth perception. Three stars however because the customer service leaves a LOT to be desired. I walked in with no one else around and all three guys in the place completely ignored me when I walked in. Which would be fine but every other person who walked in was warmly greeted. Maybe it's the fact that I'm Asian, maybe it's because they didn't think I was old enough to purchase anything there, or maybe it's because I was a woman who didn't have her husband there to approve her big purchase. Who knows? Either way I was blatantly ignored despite my multiple rounds and this wasn't the first time. I come to Vegas at least once a year and make it a point to come by and see what's new. Owning a Peter Lik print is one of my dreams and if the guys at this store treat one person this way then I'd rather go to the other location or even buy it online so I don't have to deal with them. read more

Wandering around trying to find our way back to our hotel and I saw this gallery and squealed! It was the 6.5 million dollar man!!! He apparently does not make small prints as the pieces in his gallery were all quite large but stunning. As a photographer I was drawn in and studied each piece and all I have to say is - I want to learn his marketing techniques! Seriously!!! There was no way in the world I could afford anything of his but it was wonderful to see his images up close and personal and not in a magazine or online. Really rude salesperson. Husband and I were walking through looking at the beautiful photography and we were followed by this man who's only intention was to show us his presentation about how the pictures light up. When we politely declined he was clearly irritated. I then kindly asked a simple question about one of the pictures but at this point he no longer cared to be helpful. He quickly answered me with a quick "yes", total attitude now apparent and walked away from us as if we had completely insulted him. It was very off putting. I'm not sure what his problem was but bothering a customer and then turning on them, when they don't take the bait of an orchestrated sales tactic, was a major turn off and discredits this place as a legitimate gallery/art dealer. read more

Too often we complain, too rarely do we compliment. I left a pair of prescription sunglasses in this gallery in my haste to switch glasses after being outside. I didn't realize it until I was about to fly home. I called the gallery to see if they had been turned in. They had not, but I left my contact info. The following week, Brian (last name withheld) called to tell me he had my glasses! He took it upon himself to mail them to me. Full disclosure, I have been contacted by members from Peter Lik's team since my initial review. They did not ask me to update my review, but I have chosen to because I feel that it is only fair to share the outcome of my experience. My biggest concern with the poor customer service experience I had on my birthday was that no other customers experience the stereotyping I did at the Peter Lik Venetian gallery. It was unjust and hurtful. Jeffrey Flowers, gallery director, reached out to me and he assured me that he had spoken with the gallery associates who I had interacted with that evening, although he said their recollection of events were different then my experience. I appreciate Jeffrey for following-up. I was also contacted by the national sales director Jeremy Meeter. He and I spoke via telephone and he was empathetic regarding my customer experience and told me that he also had personally addressed my concerns at Lik's Venetian gallery to help prevent my situation from occurring for other customers. Jeremy represents Peter Lik in a professional manner and is a true asset to the Peter Lik team - I really felt like he heard me and sought to rectify the matter. He offered to assist me personally if I'd return to a Peter Lik gallery in the future (before speaking to him I most certainly would not have went to a Lik gallery again and supported the gallery with my dollars - purchasing artwork is a significant investment, but if Jeremy and Jeffrey are a greater representation of the Peter Lik staff, I'd now be open to it). Instead of 1 star, I'd update this to gallery to 3 stars. I can't erase my experience in this gallery, it wasn't good and should have never happened, but the way it was handled was professional. read more
