WORST DAYCARE IN MINOT…read more I worked at this daycare for about a week, and my experience was very disappointing. During the interview, I was told I would be in a classroom with another teacher and would receive proper training, but that never happened. I was placed alone in a room with more children than I felt was appropriate, and staff often shifted kids around. If a child in another room was acting out, they were usually sent to my room, while calmer kids from my classroom were taken elsewhere. There was also a situation during nap time involving a child on the spectrum that made me extremely uncomfortable. Another staff member showed me how they put him to sleep by laying him on his stomach, pulling a blanket over his head, and using her leg to hold him in place. I know some kids use weighted blankets, but this was nothing like that -- it did not look safe or appropriate to me. Even basic things like using the bathroom were difficult. Since you're not allowed to leave children alone, I had to stand in the hallway trying to get someone to cover my room just to use the restroom -- meanwhile, other teachers routinely left their rooms unattended. It felt very unorganized and unsafe. During that same week, I ended up getting the flu and strep throat. When I decided I wasn't coming back, I was yelled at, which only confirmed my decision. I also barely saw the owner -- maybe twice the entire week -- and she didn't seem involved with the kids or what was happening in the classrooms. From my perspective, it felt like the focus was more on running the business than on supporting staff or children. Overall, the experience was stressful, disorganized, and concerning enough that I chose not to return. IF I COULD GET IT A 0 STAR I WOULD.

No incident report or nothing from that "director" for the bite only half ass apology from the nose bled. I say if you love your kid better think about. I'm still upset at myself for allowing my baby into that place. I pulled them out so quick and all they cared about was MONEY. (Oak Park location)

The Minot YMCA is a pretty good gym! They have 2 full-size basketball courts, classrooms, a…read morechild-care center, a rock-climbing wall, a swimming pool, a track, raquetball courts, and classrooms. It's spacious, and they provide a wide variety of options. My favorite part of the Y is the sauna in the locker room. It feels so nice after swimming, and it smells like vanilla! My family calls it the vanilla room. There are some great classes included in your membership too! The spin classes are fantastic and give you a killer work out. They also have barre, yoga, strength classes, boot camps! And it's great that all of these classes are included with your membership. The rock-climbing wall is also included with your membership, but doesn't have the same hours as the rest of the gym, so check that before you plan on going! Everything is clean and taken care of. I've never had any experiences with broken or dirty equipment. They have basketballs for customers to use, but a lot of them aren't the best quality. There aren't many options for gyms in Minot, but the YMCA is by far the most superior of all of them!
