I also ordered the Bloody Mary with build your own garnishments. Great deal for $5. I took one star off for service. We sat for awhile before a server came to take our drink order and explain the buffet and how to get the pancakes/waffles. The food was amazing. My mother and I went for a nice dinner. This company catered my school district and it was delicious so I felt like treating my mom. And treat was what I did. The server/bartender was wonderful. He was very helpful with choosing our drinks, apps and especially deciding our entrees. My mom ordered the lasagna which was big and flavorful. As two Italian women we were impressed. My mom a full Italian from NY enjoyed not just her dish but mine as well. I ordered the seafood cannelloni. It was very delicious. The chicken wings for an app were delectable!! We downed those, so obviously we had leftovers. Since I work close, I sent them home with my mom. NOW.. the best part the sangria! We came here for the very first time with family. We had received their famous sub, pasta con broccoli, cheese garlic bread and a kids meal. I say received because they got our order mixed up with a booth behind us so it wasn't our order. The sub was bland and likewise with the pasta zero flavor minus broccoli. Cheese bread was very dried out, the kids order plates came out so hot my child couldn't touch them for a long time, which just made him upset. I also got a house salad and that was the best thing I had. Their house dressing was very good. The highchair was broken so we couldn't strap my baby in unfortunately. My uncle ordered a drink and it took the entire meal to receive it. It was nice to try a new place but it's one we marked on our do not return to. read more

It's amazing how just ONE thing can really ruin a whole dining experience. Our service was so bad, from the very start, that I forgot to take ANY pictures. I asked for a drink menu. She said she'd bring it, but never did. I ordered a Bloody Mary with NO salt, and got a Bloody Mary WITH salt. When she took our orders, she didn't tell us that waffles, pancakes, and french toast had to be ordered from her. It took us getting into the buffet, and not finding those items, and then asking another employee, to find out. We were a large group, and there was an automatic 20% tip added to each of our checks and it was VERY obvious that she knew she was getting that tip, and was NOT going to put in any extra effort. I have been here several times over the past year and the food and service remain consistently good. The place is always clean and the staff is friendly and attentive. This visit I ordered a side salad, which I love the chilled plate, eggplant Parmesan that was so incredibly good with plenty left over for another meal. I really enjoyed the complementary bread. My dining companions, all greatly enjoyed their food choices. I ordered a cheese pizza and pepperoni pizza to go. They prepared it fast, the only inconvenience was that they didn't take credit card payments over the phone. Their pizza is St. Louis style with a crunchy, flaky crust. It might just be me, but it didn't feel like there was enough cheese on it. Reviewing solely off pizza and wings So keeo that in mind. The friendly staff made the rating go up 2 stars but the pizza and wings were 1 and 2 stars. Wings- 3/10 worst wings ive had in my life hints the score. I don't know what they are thinking here. On the menu it sounds fantastic parmesean buffalo with a garlic aioli. Unique but wow is it wrong. The buffalo overpowers the parmesean flavor so it's just mild buffalo and the parmeasean gives it a gritty sand texture like you are chewing sand after falling in the ocean. Garlic aioli also didn't do the wings justice at all. Maybe just do a garlic parm wing and a buffalo wing separately. Pizza- 6.5/10 "xl carnivore" I also think it just had to much going on as far as flavor. My buddy and I split it and both agreed we don't like blue cheese so we got it with out blue cheese. But figured we would try all the other toppings :we mainly wanted the steak on the pizza" giardiniera and pickled jalapeños were just an odd touch on a pizza with the name CARNIVORE. I couldn't really taste to much as there were to many flavors going on. I'll have to come back for just a sausage pizza as that's what I like to review places based on. My daughter and I had dinner there last night and something has changed. We have dined here before and enjoyed our meals. Last night was different. We ordered the cannellini bites and they were good. But then we ordered the chicken spedini, which is one of my favorite Italian entrees. It tasted like the chicken was made from frozen already cooked breaded chicken(like a bad chicken nugget), the pasta was bland and there were only 2 asparagus spears. We also ordered the Timmy's pizza(meatball pizza) it was also very bland, unfortunately I ordered the larger size for the leftovers not knowing how bad it was going to be. I read through some of the other reviews before I decided to write one and it seems I'm not the only one that has noticed a change in the food quality and taste. I will not be back and I will stop recommending this restaurant. So sad. read more

I was happy that they could accommodate such a large party on short notice. Very large portions but I guess it matches the price. The appetizers we ordered were lobster Rangoon and Toasted Ravs. Both were good. Salad that comes with your entrée were small while the entrée was a very large portion. The food was ok, not really good. My son ordered a pizza stl style and said it was good. Our table had a variety of different food and we all had the same reaction. Met a friend for a quick catch up dinner. Lily was our server that evening. She was friendly and helpful. The vibe is reminiscent of the spots I frequent on The Hill. I started with a house salad. I love a good creamy vinaigrette and this one rated pretty high for me. I am a St. Louis girl through and through. The love affair I've had with Provel cheese. I went with the Paulie. Tender beef, provel, garlic. I had them swap the ciabatta bread for a hoagie roll. I ordered spaghetti with meat sauce as my side. The sandwich and salad was more than enough. I took the spaghetti home for leftovers. I'm not sure if an extra day for those flavors to reach full potency, the sauce was excellent. My only complaint is I could have used more sauce. I will say the portion size of my husband spaghetti and meatballs was way smaller than the last time we came here...but I got a ton of pasta con broccoli and it was delicious! The pink sauce was phenomenal and I actually love the flavor of this (honestly way better than pasta house pasta con broccoli) The side salad was very good and the house dressing was amazing. Went for table service during happy hour. Much better experience than the grand opening! Toasted ravioli still weren't anything special but our entrees and salad were very good! Pasta salad is made with the same dressing in the house salad and was exceptionally good. The seafood cannelloni was full of seafood. I couldn't stop eating it. Hostess and seating was odd though. We tried this spot after our kids do soccer nearby. We were disappointed. It had such promise and a nice looking patio. The service was good. The food is the reason we won't be back. The kids Mac and cheese was not edible and nothing a kid would like in a Mac and cheese. The kids spaghetti was also disappointing and didn't taste good. The only thing that redeemed the meal a little bit was the pizza. We got the meat lovers and it was ok. It's St. Louis style pizza. Let me start off with saying that the staff is excellent. Really felt welcome and they were on the spot when we needed something. I ordered a chicken spedini with broccoli. I had no idea what it was. The pasta and cream sauce were delicious though. I didn't know the chicken was in a form of a skewer. It felt a little dry, but it was just my personal opinion. I love that this place uses vintage saucers as serving plates. The bread they give is a little on the softer side. I would have preferred a little bit more baked for texture. From the moment we walked in to the sound of Dean Martin serenading us with his velvet voice till we sat in our booth we knew were in for a treat. The service was excellent but the star was the food. Great Italian spot in cottleville! Stopped in for our first tonight and were sat immediately in a booth. Tons of seating here and it looks like they have a room for events too (there was a Xmas party going on) as well as a full bar. The inside of this restaurant is fun- lots of Elvis, Marilyn, and Sinatra stuff! Looked like they had a big patio as well. We ordered garlic cheese bread and it came out super quick. It was to die for and it was enough for 2- it came with about 7-8 small pieces. For entrees, we had the Timmy's (meatball) pizza in the largest size and chicken Parmesan. Large portions and came out quickly. We had absolutely fantastic service while we were here and the food was delicious! Pizza is thin like Imos and you can choose your cheese if you're not a proven person. Chicken parm comes with asparagus and a large side of pasta. We had tons of leftovers!! We finally had the opportunity to visit. They don't take reservations for parties less that 7, so be prepared to wait a bit when they are busy. We had a 20 minute-ish wait. The reception area is small with limited seating so it was a bit crowded. After being seated, the staff is there to get the drink order fairly quickly. The food is moderately priced and the portions are generous. Complementary garlic bread was brought to the table, to enjoy with the dinner. We split a salad, my wife had pasta and I had a beef sandwich. The pasta comes out on china plates, but my sandwich was wrapped in foil served on an aluminum sheet tray. I found this a bit odd. The sandwich had great flavor though. A couple of drinks rounded out our meal and we were happy and full for around $65.00. We were very happy with the evening and look forward to trying other menu offerings on out next visit. read more

I've heard good things about Liliana's and I had high hopes. Unfortunately we were largely disappointed with the food and the service. I saw photos of the garlic shrimp rigatoni on Yelp and it looked pretty good, unfortunately for some reason the shrimp on my order and my Aunt's order were chopped into teeny tiny pieces. I would estimate there were probably 4 total shrimp cut into smaller than bite-size pieces - we are talking already small shrimp probably cut into 4 pieces each. The cream sauce tasted off. I couldn't put my finger on it and my friend tried it and she said it tasted like dishwater. I tried to doctor it up with Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes, but it didn't help. I didn't return it but I also didn't eat it or take it home. The waiter didn't even comment when he took my full plate back when he cleared our table. My uncle ordered the spaghetti with salsiccia and while the sausage was good, the red sauce was not. A bright note was the thin crust pizza and Italian salad. Both were very good. I would come back just for pizza and salad. If it weren't for those two items, I would've given one star. Our waiter was impatient, sarcastic, and sloppy. read more

Was out for lunch and decided to stop by Liliana's Italian Kitchen. Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and was able to get seated quickly. The restaurant decor had a classic feel in a fairly new building. Our server was quick to take our drink order while we viewed their menu. Lilana's does offer lunch and dinner for those interested in either course. Menu had a wide variety of sandwiches, salads, pizzas and traditional Italian dishes. We went with a few sandwiches and a healthy order of spaghetti and meatballs. All dishes were served hot and great portions. Lilana's had a great selection of music to complement the decor and atmosphere. Overall good experience and will be back for dinner. read more

I was excited to try this restaurant after both of our parents had been and had good things to say. We went on a Thursday night and it was not super busy. The place is very nice inside and we were seated fairly quickly. I ordered the Rigatoni and side salad. The salad came out and it was very fresh but the dressing just was not to my liking at all. Then, the main entree came with the recommendation to not touch the main plate as it was piping hot. So ironic, as the rigatoni and meatballs was luke warm to worse throughout. The sauce was a bit runny and also not to my liking (taste wise) either. From the outside, the dish looked amazing but with it being luke warm temp and not a good taste, this was such a huge disappointment for our first trip here. I also tried the lasagna and it was a little bit warmer but not hot. Plus, it had the same taste to the red sauce and I was just not a fan. My son had the chicken tenders and fries and he said that they were really good so that is a plus. A meal for 3 came in at 72 dollars which is a little steep and that burns even more when the food was not even hot nor tasty lol. read more

The folks are very nice The portion sizes are nice, but the quality has just changed and that's disappointing Their meatballs are usually fantastic. Along with sauce and cheese and bread / rolls were so cheap! Not the same great quality when they 1st opened. Definitely the ingredients. We had a private event at Liliana's in Cottleville for about 40 guests!! The service was top notch excellent! Not one complaint from anyone and I Come from a family of complainers. Me included. This was a disappointment. I've been here several times in the past but something's changed. The service was disappointing, requiring three requests before I could get a lemon slice for my water. Apparently, they no longer serve bread to the table, even though it had always been served in the past. The appetizer that I ordered hasn't been available for months, although it still appears on the menu. I ordered Chicken Parmesan as my entrè, but I've never had that dish made with mozzarella cheese on top. It totally ruined the dish. I also ordered a large pizza to go and it was absolutely horrible. Went in for dinner and was disappointed by the quality of the food relative to the price. This was probably my 3rd visit over the past 5 years and the quality has gone way down. I ordered the Garlic Shrimp Rigatoni ($24) and the sauce was bland and there were 0 whole shrimp on my plate. I understand paying extra for seafood pasta but I did not expect very small hunks of cut up shrimp when ordering. The bread quality was poor and the service was fair. My neighbors and I are back at Liliana's again. A party of 7. We were able to make a reservation very easily and we sat in the middle of the restaurant. The hostess and waitress were very friendly and the food was good. The portion size is very big. Most of us took half of the meal home with us. We ordered the fried artichokes and garlic Parmesan fries. They were both very good. We all ordered drinks. They have a very good bourbon and beer selection. The house salad is very big and full of good veggies. I ordered the spaghetti and salsiccia. The portion size was huge and it was very tasty! My wife ordered the chicken modiga. It too, was a very large portion and very good! Everything was very good. They were very busy and the service was a little slow but it was very good overall. I will definitely be back again.
