For light and fresh dinner I reccomend the ceviche variaty that includes 3 different types. Try to pick one you cant imagine how it would taste. Great taste and quality , portions were very good and splendid cocktails . I had like 3 different pisco sours. Yelp did not disappoint in Brazil! We were on a week trip in Rio and I was sick of feijoadas and wanted to some good ol' Peruvian food. We found this restaurant on Yelp and decided to give it a try. We arrived around 8 and were seated right away. For drinks we had the pisco sour and the lychee/pisco drink. The pisco sour was too weak but the lychee drink was spot on. Nice balance of sweetness and pretty strong. I got the ceviche prepared 3 ways and it was delish!! I had that as my entree and it was enough! Peruvian food is awesome and everyone should try some immediately! Same owners of El Chalaco in Leblon and Tupac in Ipanema. Located in a very charming street in Botafogo, the food is of course excellent and the ambiance and service very nice. I had a ceviche and some kind of meat after that with eggs and potatoes and just all kinds of goodness. I think the caipirinha was nice too. The marinated sweet potato and the corn nut garnish are so good! The portion size is very inconsistent. Sometimes they give you a huge platter of it and other times the bowl seems to shrink and you get less. One pisco sour here will have you feeling pretty loosey goosey. They are strong yet tasty and has a good amount of egg white foam. They have a great executive lunch at a reasonable price and it comes with a cup of the house tea, which is usually maracujá and really yummy. I order it with no sugar. Downstairs, the restaurant is nice. If you are seated upstairs, beware, you are often forgotten and things just take longer up there. The service...man it really varies. Sometimes you get a competent waiter and everything is great. Other times, food comes out wrong and takes forever. There was once a piece of plastic inside one of our pastels and they took it off the bill but I felt like we deserved something for free, like a shot of espresso. Maybe I am being too demanding, haha. But they acted like it was no big deal. If they continue making their ceviche and pisco the way they do, I will continue to be a customer. read more

I have been here a few times, and it gets better each time. They serve authentic Peruvian food and drinks. As good as the food is, the bartenders (from Peru) make some of the best drinks I have ever tasted. This last visit, we just sat at the bar because we just stopped in for drinks. The bartender turned us onto some AMAZING mini chicken burgers (4 for R$24) which is actually a steal considering the drinks are R$25 each. The restaurant is small, so anything larger than a group of 4 might be uncomfortable, but this place is def worth checking out! read more

Authentic Peruvian ceviche, tasty appetizers, warm atmosphere, good service. A bit pricey, but the ceviche portions are actually larger than they look. Unless you're starving, one should fill you up reasonably well. Some of the fish tasted a little fishy, but not bad--we got there at like 11:30pm, so can't really complain. They also give you free bread and butter when you arrive, which is a rarity in this town. read more
