I visited his office at 20 Prospect Ave (Hackensack-Meridian Hospital) on the 4th floor, Suite 406. My appointment was for 0900, but I arrived way too early at 0810. The 1st person that greeted me was Piedad, she was very helpful and friendly. She assisted me in completing my forms with a smile. It didn't take long to be called in, and then I met another fantastic staff member, her name is Sadoni (I hope I spelled it correctly). She was assisting me by listing and explaining my medications and procedures, she was very helpful and cheerful. After Sadoni left, I met Raquel, a young medical student with bright future ahead of her, she is smart, capable and patient. After a thorough conversation with Raquel, Dr. Surick stepped into the examining room. He's a knowledgeable and respectful physician, he listened to my concerns/needs and he addressed them appropriately. Also met a fantastic and kind young lady by the name of Yosria, she helped me with finalizing the process; e.g., paperwork, scheduling, etc. I will be coming back for a colonoscopy that's way overdue. This practice deserves a 5 star rating due to its magnificent staff and outstanding physician.

During my appointment, he did some manual tests and a memory test, prescribed too low a dose of Primidone which was ineffective for my tremors and gave me Alzheimer's medication. No blood tests. No nerve tests. Then I went to a real neurologist who performed multiple nerve, imaging and blood tests, She diagnosed me with a B12 deficiency. And I dropped that GP.

Instead, it has left her disabled and in excruciating pain every day since. The surgical team assured us that the procedure was routine, with little to no risk of long-term complications. Unfortunately, the result was nothing short of catastrophic. The post-operative care was poorly managed, with very little communication about what went wrong. He claimed to take life saving measures during surgery and was never held accountable. Despite her repeated concerns and visible suffering, her pain was often dismissed, leaving us to navigate a seemingly endless cycle of medical appointments, prescriptions, and failed treatments. Her quality of life has drastically deteriorated. She has lost mobility, independence, and her ability to enjoy simple everyday activities. To this day, she struggles with immense pain that no one seems able to relieve. Since then we've felt completely let down by Dr. Brisson and the team that handled the surgery, and the long-term impact on our family has been devastating.
