I'm not sure what I expected to find here, but it turns out that this is basically little more than a modern shopping centre. Okay, it's a German shopping centre, but it is still a shopping centre, and I have to admit that I tend to get sick of looking around them after, well, a few seconds after stepping in through the doors. However, I had caught the u-Bahn from the station to here, namely to catch the U-bahn in Essen, only to find myself here so I decided that it would be a good idea to look around. The one interesting thing that I did notice though was that they happened to have a vending machine for wine, which is something that I would have expected to find in France. read more

A standard shopping center with limited wifi, restrooms that you have to pay for and food court that can make you sick. Try to opt for pizza or something you know it must be made that day; I had a shake that made me ill and I was sorry I had that curiosity. Regarding stores themselves; again, standard - like everywhere else in the world. It is good to be able to go to a place and find what you need. Also, it would be nice for some big stores like Saturn to accept credit cards. Am I supposed to pay cash for a washing machine, plus wait 2 months for delivery? Ridiculous. read more

Huge mall in Central Essen, they have everything under one roof. Get off the metro line at Berliner Platz.

Europe's biggest shopping centre? I thought it would be bigger…read more.. As large as this is, there is relatively little to say about this place. Situated in Oberhausen, only a few minutes with the tram or bus from the city centre, definitely easy to reach, even if you're traveling without a car. The shops are 95% clothing and shoe shops, with some other stores thrown in the mix as well. There are also some football club shops (BVB, S04, Bayern München) and a food court, and that is basically it... The food court (Coca Cola Oase) is quite decent, with about 20 different "restaurants" to chose from and a massive seating area in the middle. Bottom line: * A looooot of shops... * ...but most of them (merely) clothes or shoes. * Fantastic food court * Plenty of discount / sale in the stores * If you want to go shopping for clothes, this is your place to be!

I like this mall....as in really like it!!…read more It has everything you might need, from clothing stores to stationery shops, from restaurants to pharmacies, there are even supermarkets in the basement! They even have dutch stores like HEMA...and boy, do I love HEMA!! :D This mall is the perfect mix of "need" and "want", including their very own cinema upstairs and the Best Western Hotel. There are several restaurants / fast food stalls in a kind of food court, with plenty of different types of food to chose from. The location is just as brilliant: the Forum is set pretty much in the city centre and right next to the main train station in Mülheim. Bottom line: * One trip to this mall is sufficient to get anything you could possibly need * brilliant location * nice selection of shops * HEMA!! :D

Von der Grundidee nicht schlecht aber totales Fehlkonzept! Obwohl wir relativ regelmäßig dort verkehren fühlen wir uns trotzdem jedesmal noch "Lost" wenn wir durch die Gänge irren.Der Aufbau einfach nur verwirrend! Ebenso fehlorganisiert ist die Verteilung sowie die Anzahl der Toiletten.Wie kann ein derart großes Gebäude nur sowenige,schlecht verteilte Klos haben?Schon mal versucht zur Weihnachtszeit oder generell Samstags aufs Klo zu gehen?Hinzukommt,wir sind eine Familie mi 2 Kindern wo eins noch im Kinderwagen liegt.Die Benutzung der Aufzüge ist eine Katastrophe.Entweder kaputt oder man muss unendlich lange warten weil entweder total überfüllt oder in andere Richtungen unterwegs.Davon auch viel zu wenige!! Wenn das Sushi dort nicht so schmecken würde,würden wir wohl auch nicht mehr dort verkehren! In diesem Sinne... read more

Hier wird gerade eine riesige Mall (Einkaufszentrum) gebaut, das jetzt schon (teilweise schon eröffnet), sehr schön ist. Shoppen wird hier groß geschrieben. Wenn das Wetter gut ist, liegt hier auch gleich auch eine Normale Einkaufsstraße. Entspannen ist hier aber (noch) nicht so gut möglich, denn leer ist es hier nirgendwo. Die Gastronomie müsste auch noch ausgebaut werden. Zum Glück gibt es aber keine Billigläden (1 Euro-Läden etc.) . read more

Tolles Einkaufszentrum. Verstehen kann ich nicht wieso sich so viele wegen der unübersicht beschweren, denn mit bissel Orientierungssinn kommt man schon sehr zu recht. Viele gute Geschäfte, essen und trinken. Wenn man vorhat, den ganzen Tag im Zentrum zu verbringen, kann man gegenüber im cinemaxx für pauschal 3.50EUR parken. All in allem tolles Shoppingcenter Plus tolle Stadt. read more
