I walked into into the house I was staying in and saw this fabulous arrangement that stood out from another, my first words were who sent me flowers from the Flower Company, I didn't think of anything except that the arrangement had the signature of the establishment where I've seen the best arrangements, freshest flowers and plants, her works speaks volumes. This is a difficult review to write, because, like many flower-senders, I may never see this shop…read morein person. However, it was the most local florist to where I wanted flowers sent, so I selected a local florist. Like many flower shops, the website was pretty awful and unhelpful to navigate, but I selected a basket of flowers and paid through the website. Afterwards, I received a pop-up saying I needed to physically call the store to complete the transaction. Well, this basically defeats the entire purpose of using an online system, but 'gotcha!'- there was little choice now that I had already paid for my delivery. The person who picked up told me that she would make a beautiful basket but it wouldn't look exactly like the one in the picture. I said that was fine, but could she send me a picture so that I could see what was sent. She also wanted the code on the back of my credit card, which I had already input online. Next day, I received a voicemail asking for me to call the store again- she had forgotten the code from my card. No big deal - this could happen to anyone - but then I asked when I would get the email with the photo, and she told me she had neglected to take a photo. The person I sent flowers to is unable to send me a picture and is in very poor health. Therefore, I'll never know what I sent- the size, the look, nothing. I was pretty annoyed on the phone, because it seems outrageous to never see what I purchased. I plan to send flowers regularly, so not sure if I will call this florist again. On thinking about it later, I wonder if most of the orders that come in are people from afar who also wants pictures sent in. I am surprised pictures are not taken just as proof, and also to know what was last sent to a client, but I guess without a system for doing this, it could take a lot of extra time to take coordinate taking and sending out photos. I completely understand substitutions based on seasonal availability and cost but their policy states "we will maintain the overall style, theme, and value of your selected arrangement." which was not done. We placed the order on 3/9/18 and received a confirmation email and a charge on the credit card the next day. The shop never delivered the flowers. We only know this because family in the states was able to get ahold of the store to see the status of the order. The shop stated they no longer deliver to Cullowhee. There was no issue placing an order with a delivery address of Cullowhee on their site. We never received an email notification that the flowers could not be delivered and we have now had to contact the shop to request a refund. What incredibly poor business practices! To top it off, our family never received flowers!

When I called the shop to speak with someone about the flowers being delivered on the wrong day, a man answered the phone and told me that he couldn't help me. He passed me off to the delivery driver who couldn't help me or get in touch with anyone that could. He made jokes about who, if anyone, was in charge at the flower shop commenting that it was questionable. After several similar comments, I told the man that I was not in the mood for jokes and that I would like to speak with Jane (the owner I think). He told me she wasn't available. He didn't bother to take down any of my information or tell me that he would have someone call me. I asked the delivery driver to let Jane know that I would be posting a negative review of the business, but I did not receive a call from the flower shop. The next day, I saw the arrangement for the first time, and it looked nothing like the arrangement I ordered. I called a few days later once I got back home to tell them I wanted my money back for arriving on the wrong day and sending the wrong arrangement. Jane told me she would refund my money. A couple of days later when the funds were not deposited back into my account, I called and spoke with Mandy who asked me to send her a picture of the arrangement. She said she was the one who arranged it and it had better flowers than what I ordered. After I sent Mandy the picture, she accused us of taking out some of the flowers. PLEASE!!! Her lack of ownership was disgusting! They did refund my money, but I will NEVER use them again.

As we're driving through the mountains, this shopping center appeared and we popped in for snacks. I had no problem finding a loaf of (expensive) keto bread, some sliced cheese and some sliced turkey. A perfectly keto friendly lunch that would also work as snack later. The store is in decent shape, apparently a former Bi-Lo according to Google Street View historical images. Parking lot was clean, store was clean, shelves were decently stocked. It was good.
