I personally think that is outstanding money for the quality, time and efforts put into the job. I had used MCS on a prior occasion to do a one off clean a couple of years ago and found them ok so…read morearranged a 4 hour deep clean of my house on the day before the estate agents were coming in to do a valuation. First of all, I had a very hard time arranging the clean in the first place. Never got a call back when they said they would, then informed me that they would not be able to do the clean on the day arranged 2 weeks previously after all. When the two cleaner eventually turned up I was very disappointed with the standards. The cleaners were asked to pay particular attention to cleaning skirting boards and harder to reach areas, but I'm not sure that this was really done at all. There were quite a lot of smears on surfaces where dust had clearly been dragged around with a wet cloth. They hadn't even bothered with areas like under the handles of the kitchen cupboards or to hoover under the bed! Having paid £56 for 4 hours work I would really have expected a better standard, especially considering that the house was not exactly filthy to start with. I specifically commissioned the job because I have a small baby and did not feel that I would have been able to get the house to a standard of cleansiness that you would expect from a professional cleaning company by myself whilst looking after baby. As it happened I spent all the followig morning re-cleaning everything. I had on a previous occasion commissioned 2 hours' cleaning and I didn't feel like much more than this was done in 4 hours. All amateurish at best. To top it all off, I e-mailed to complain 2 weeks ago and never heard anything back. The only recommendation I would give about Monton Cleaning Services is to AVOID! The previous (very good) review appears to be several years old and when I commissioned them the first time about 2 years ago I would have agreed but things seem to have gone very very bad. I basically gave them £56 only to have to do my own cleaning the next day anyway. Very very poor.
