When my HVAC quit working during the hottest day so far, I expected to wait quite awhile to get it repaired. I looked on Yelp for reviews and Lincoln Heating and Air had the highest rating. I could immediately understand why when I called to make an appointment. The lady on the phone was so sweet and kind and made an appointment for only two days after I called. I really appreciated the fact they sent an email that included a picture of the technician so I felt at ease. Travler Giamona was the technician they sent out and he was amazing. He was up front and honest with what was wrong and clearly knew what he was doing. While it was still expensive, it was nowhere near as much as I planned for. While I hope I don't need them any time soon, I would definitely use them again. read more

It took 3 days to get on the schedule. They installed a capacitor that took 10 minutes ( the exact capacitor costs $15.31 on Amazon) they charged me $386 to install the capacitor. my 8 y/o heater and a/c split system stopped working, I called them and a Very Nice young man showed up, checked out the system and told me the control unit was bad, I asked how much they were and he told me a generic one was around $200 but the Company would have to send me an estimate before he could order it. They sent me an estimate for $2500 for the control board and another $500 for a new transformer! I got the part numbers and bought them on EBAY, $90 for the control board and $20 for the transformer. I replaced them myself in about 30 minutes and the unit still did not work. I did some research and found that the condenser pan has a float switch that was bad, $20, VERY simple to replace. This was the problem the whole time. I credit You tube for saving me a lot of $$. read more

We called Lincoln on Saturday, June 13 because our air conditioner stopped blowing cool air. My husband just had surgery and was unable to troubleshoot the issue himself. The technician came out that same day, which we really appreciated, and the tech was very polite. He figured out the problem within 5 minutes, and was able to replace the bad capacitor. The only issue we have with the service was that he charged us $583 for a part that we later found on Amazon for $117.....it was the exact same part number and manufacturer. I understand a markup on parts.... we feel that double the price would have been fair, however 5 times the retail price is simply gouging. We will not use this company again. read more

I was able to schedule a service call the same week on Friday. The communications with Lincoln was fast and clear. The service tech, Dylan Baker, called and actually showed up early. His explanation of what was happening was clear and to the point. Dylan asked several times if I had any questions and gave me a complete verbal report of the condition of my system and was respectful the entire time. Lincoln performed a routine annual springtime service checkup on my Furnace/A-C system. The service appeared to be competent, but the price gouging was startling. They told me they charge $125 for such a service, but once completed they charged me double with the excuse that I had only asked for the A/C to be checked, and they checked the furnace as well which was a separate $125 charge. Obviously, the Furnace and A/C is an integrated system so there was no honest basis for the additional charge, and they failed to let me know that this was their business practice. Even the $125 was grossly excessive. I saw, too late, a company that offered this service for a $60 flat rate. I certainly will do my homework next year, and will not be using Lincoln. read more

I heard Lincoln Heating and Air advertised on the radio with their slogan about "making every penny count," so I contacted them when my home started smelling like burnt wiring coming through the heating vents. At the time, I was at work, and my wife was the one home during the appointment. The technician who came out was unable to identify the source of the issue, even though the burning smell was still present. Instead of focusing on diagnosing the problem, he told my wife that he wasn't hired for his HVAC expertise, but for his ability to sell. He repeatedly tried to upsell services that didn't address the issue, including replacing flame sensors for an added cost, and even quoted $1,800 for a motor he claimed was going out. The sales pressure was persistent and frustrating, especially after my wife declined multiple times. What's most concerning is that I was later able to identify the issue myself after I got home something the technician completely missed while trying to sell unnecessary repairs. ($10 dollar part btw) For a company that advertises saving customers money, this experience felt like the exact opposite. I would not recommend using their services. read more

3 stars because they got the job done but were very expensive. My blower motor died and needed to be replaced. The technician, Houston, arrived on time, was friendly, and quickly diagnosed the problem. He replaced the motor in a couple hours and also installed a new thermostat free of charge. Overall, I have no gripes with the technician or the work done. My heartburn is over the $1700 charge. It seemed like a lot so afterwards, I looked up the cost of the OEM blower motor and found it to run $300. That means the labor cost was roughly $1400 for a couple hours of work. There was no crawling under the house or up in the attic, everything was accessible in the garage at chest height... that seems really excessive. I did get 10% off for signing up for a furnace maintenance which helped a little. I called the following business day and inquired about the invoice and about the cost breakdown between parts and labor. I was told it wasn't available as they bill a flat fee for service. I asked what the fee was for replacing a blower motor and they said that they didn't have the info but could have the technician call me to discuss it. My bad for not asking more questions up front but I assumed the emailed invoice would provide a better breakdown. Yes, these guys get the job done but be aware they're very expensive. Some other folks I've spoken with since then have paid about half as much for the same work. David provided the first of multiple estimates that we ended up getting over the course of a few days, and he set a very high bar, taking his time to inspect not just our existing furnace and A/C but also each of our vents around the house to make sure he was recommending a new matched system that would be adequate and not overkill (or underkill) for our house. The options he provided were among the lowest prices of all the estimates we got, for very solid-quality Rheem systems. In addition, being a local family-owned business with many years of service, Lincoln has a fantastic reputation and has great warranties behind their work. While we haven't made a final decision yet, we wanted to leave a review noting how great of job David did representing the company and how impressed we were overall with what Lincoln has to offer. read more

All I got was a quote (that I paid for) which was near 3x the company i went with. They would not provide a parts cost and labor hour estimate and instead only came up an astronomical cost for what I later learned was a very quick job with an inexpensive part. I contacted them due to the yelp reviews looking good, but this was not at all my experience. I felt very frustrated and frankly offended with the process. I actually wonder where their high Yelp rating has come from. All I can say is at the very least get another quote so you do not fall victim. Update: Regarding the response from Lincoln. I asked for labor hours and parts quote to justify the huge estimate I received. They of course refused to provide this because it would have shown an hourly labor rate approaching 1000 dollars. I notified them that their quote was way out of line with another HVAC provider and there was no response from them. Be warned! Shady tech unfortunately is a poor reflection I'm sure, of the company - Swapped out our thermostat for an older model. We had an issue where our main thermostat (located in the living room) would click on for heating but the heater would not actually go off and when we turned it off, the AC would kick on so we called Lincoln Heating to come check out the problem. It turns out the issue wasn't with the thermostat but with an accessory that communicates between the thermostat and furnace, which ended up costing us $1.5k. (Online the board sell for a couple hundred) Long story short, the problem is how shady our tech Phil was. To get to the furnace, he had to go through our master room and he had swapped out our thermostat in that room - even though he had no reason to touch that thermostat. Luckily, my husband noticed the subtle difference in the model because the setting options were different and ours had pro series printed on the bottom. We called the company and they didn't know why it was switched out either so the supervisor said he would order an equivalent model to our original one and replace it. But they also didn't seem to believe us. Fortunately, we had taken photos and a video of our home when we closed and it shows what the original thermostat looked like. read more

I called this company because my heater wasn't working properly and I needed to get it checked out. What should've been a straightforward fix -- a $40 part and about a 30-minute job -- turned into a $1,500 quote. That didn't sit right with me, so I called around to several other companies for comparison. The highest quote I got was just under $500, and the lowest was around $350 -- a massive difference that really shows how overinflated their price was. For a company that uses Abraham Lincoln and "Honest Abe" as part of their slogan, they definitely don't live up to it. There's nothing honest about quoting more than triple the going rate for a simple job. Needless to say, I went with one of the other companies, and they had my heater working properly in no time -- for a fraction of the cost. Upon arriving I received a text with a picture of the tech and summary of his background so I knew who to expect coming to my door. Davey was punctual and very informative. He walked me through the tune up process, provided his findings/recommendations and completed the job as approved. He was very personable and didn't try to upsell me anything. I was provided pictures of all his findings based on all test s performed on the furnace. We hired Lincoln Heating & Air to replace our HVAC last fall based on good reviews and competitive pricing. What a disappointment to come.. 1. We were never told the new AC unit would be monstrous and now blocking part of the downstairs bedroom window and our back view. 2. 4 techs could not crosscheck each other and wires not hooked up properly and just left hanging. Multiple visits finally resolved the issue. 3. We did not pass the first city inspection because they used single rather than the required double plating on the furnace.... If you are replacing an AC in front of a window, ask what will be replacing, the specific size, etc so you won't be surprised or have time to relocate the unit. The owner was responsive and took responsibility. I hope this was a learning experience for all. After multiple visits the issues were resolved and we passed the second city inspection. Remember every penny counts and so does quality and competent service. Very pleased with their service. We came home from being out of town and our A/C was not working. We called on Saturday morning and they were able to send out Dominic right away. He knew very quickly what the issue was and was able to fix it. He was professional and knowledgeable. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because the issue was our capacitor which the part itself is not that expensive, but their labor charge was very high and I don't think it was just because it was a Saturday. read more

However, what wasn't acceptable was the pricing. They quoted me $2,400 for both the part and labor. When I asked for a breakdown, I was told the part itself cost $350--meaning they were charging over $2,000 for what would likely be a 30-minute job. This kind of excessive pricing feels like price gouging, and it's disappointing to see a company operate this way.
