Returned to Lincoln Square for a group breakfast on a Sunday morning, day after a football game, during a time where there are multiple parent weekend activities for the Greek system happening. I expected a crowd. And while I wasn't shocked at the crowd, I was shocked at how quickly we were seated, and how quick and impressive the service was even with a line out the door. Our group of six (multiple families represented) was seated in about 15 minutes. Most of the restaurant is configured for 4-tops, but there were enough larger options to make our seating work. I was too slow to get photos of everyone's food, plus I didn't want to embarrass my daughter who might have stabbed me with her fork. Wife had the one-egg breakfast. Traditional egg and hash browns and she chose toast (think pancakes were an option, and that would have been my preference) while I ordered the country lady. Country lady was a country friend steak, eggs, biscuit, hash browns and sausage gravy. Delish. Love that combination, and it's nice to have an option so I don't have to piece it together somehow. Everyone enjoyed their food, and the server was quick and really 'on it' as he promptly took drink orders, filled them and took our food order at that point. Kitchen staff must have been upgraded since my last visit because it was crazy fast. Check was divided accurately, and we were out the door in less than an hour. They didn't rush us, but it was obvious they wanted to turn tables over fast since the line was building. Definite repeat. I still love the local places downtown, but even I wasn't crazy enough to try to get in those on a football weekend! read more

Sunday morning breakfast. We got there pretty early, so they weren't slammed yet. The host and waiters were all very friendly, and our food came out quickly. The atmosphere is basic and kind of bare, but clean. We started off with tea, which was a super cheap tea bag, but I was expecting as much, so no big deal; I just wanted tea. I did appreciate the choice of green or black. I had the banana bread French toast to eat. It was indulgent and delicious, pretty sweet but not overdone. The banana bread was already rich enough that I did not need to use nearly all the butter that they gave, but it was very nice cinnamon butter. I was very happy with it and would definitely recommend it if you're curious. Everything was good value for the price. I would visit again. read more

We had an event in Bloomington, so decided to meet for breakfast before we set up. Our server was very attentive and kept her coffee cups full. I ordered the smoked sausage as my protein with the two eggs and hashbrowns. The sausage was great the hashbrowns were great however, my eggs were definitely not over easy. One was a little bit less done than the other and the server brought me an additional egg that was definitely over easy. The restaurant is clean and well-maintained. You know, technically it's Lincoln Square Pancake House, but in reality this is an awesome diner. I was very surprised to see some of the dishes on the menu that I did! They are definitely more than pancakes! I went for lunch before it got busy. I had the turkey club. That sandwich exceeded any expectations I might have had. It was amazing! They use some excellent ingredients there! The place was very clean and inviting. They did a great job of removing the old Denny's color scheme. Our server was very nice and visited the exact amount of times you would want a server to check in. Some will just absolutely disappear once your food has been ordered. The only ding I would have on this visit would be that the bread on the sandwich was a little burnt when it was toasted. we decided to check them out for lunch since the weekend crowd looked far greater. I first want to say that this building looks so much better than the old Dennys who originally ran the building. We were greeted warmly and were seated promptly. We even had a great talk with the manager about how accessible the building is, how much better the parking lot is. The chicken wrap was excellent. I was hoping to see a myriad of fun and creative pancakes cause you know "pancake house" my place of worship will not be at this pancake alter, it's blasphemous. Our order was taken promptly and the food came out quickly. Everything was delicious! I had egg whites with pesto omelette and a side of French toast. French toast was very delicious! Eggs were perfect. My husband got a scrambler and he said it was cooked well and had tons of flavor. He got blueberry pancakes that were light and fluffy. Drinks were filled and waiter was attentive. After reading my fellow yelpers reviews of this establishment we decided to eat breakfast here. Walking in all we saw were booths, I asked if we could get a chair on the side well, luckily there are tables with chairs in the back area, where you can't see them. We were greeted immediately by our wonderful waitress who got our drink order. Looking at the menu for breakfast there are a lot of great choices, we chose the platter that we are going to split, 2 blueberry pancakes with fresh blueberries, 2 turkey bacon, (we have to substitute this out instead of the regular bacon and sausage) 2 sausage links and one egg over medium, 1 egg sunny side up and we added hash browns. The order didn't take long at all. Let me tell you ..the pancakes here are deeeeelicious! They have a homemade blueberry butter on the pancakes with strawberries...oh myyyyy. Very fast service considering how much volume they serve. Came on Sunday around 11am during "move-in" week for IU. Seated for two within 15 minutes and served within 10-15 minutes. Ordered a Belgian waffle which tasted as delicious as it smelled (you know how sometimes they don't!), side of perfectly crisped bacon, hash browns and eggs. Service with a smile. Interior cutely decorated, mint green, black and white photos. Overall a winner, would definitely return. read more

The food was good as well, the price for a side of 3 pieces of bacon was a little over the top in my opinion rounding out to $5 for them. Good bacon just a little pricey in my opinion. I got the pancakes as well and they were very flavorful and fluffy! So filling as well, well worth that price! The ambiance was a little hectic going in at a prime food rush time, but our wait time wasn't that bad considering we went in around 11:00. The resturant itself was very nice looking and clean and seemed like a nice place to enjoy breakfast with friends (it was!). I would return to try other items next, I was torn this time between the burrito and the pancakes but went for the pancakes. My daughter's crepes were different, is how she described them. said she had not tasted a batter like that before. The pancakes came apart in the middle, but did taste ok.
