I was able to get everything I needed related to some specific cloth, to silver brooch clips, and I'm going back tomorrow morning for even more cloth, and I'm seriously thinking about that old fashioned cream crocheted collar on a stand near the desk. The range of fabrics is not humongous, but is excellent: from bamboo jerseys to cotton gingham and silks, to some really good lace, and amazing outrageously coloured tulle; and some of the on sale cloth is really worth a visit to ponder any possibilities. Seriously stunning, and an entire outfit (we made the skirt out of cream satin also bought there) for less than $250. It's a snooty fashion industry thing that is part of a much bigger story, but suffice to say I used several bad words in that first season. Today things are much different (fabric suppliers approach US - yeehaw!) but I still use Davisha. Davisha specialise in wool, cashmere and cotton, shirt and suit/coat fabrics. They have a gorgeous range and whilst the price can sometimes be high, the totally service justifies it. We use their beautiful range of men's shirt fabrics to line the pockets of our denim shorts and jeans. We've also made cropped jackets and coats from their wool and wool/cashmere fabrics. Davisha are open to everyone from a local tailor to students to wholesale fashion labels. Definitely worth a trip or ten.
