I had a really disappointing experience recently at this business. I was in Marina del Rey and called the office directly using the practitioner's cell phone to ask if I could pick up the same pills I had gotten before for stress. She told me to come by, so I did. I didn't have a photo of the pills, but I asked if she could give me the same ones I had received in the past. She said she couldn't order them unless I sent her $50 upfront. I zelled her the $50 and left, expecting that the pills would be ordered as promised. Later, she told me they had arrived--but suddenly the price had increased to $60. That's when I started feeling very uncomfortable. These pills never cost that much before, and I felt misled. I asked her to please just refund my $50 since there was so much confusion, but instead of zelling it back, she asked me to send her my address so she could mail it. That didn't sit right with me--why should I give out my personal address when the payment was digital? Overall, this whole situation felt unprofessional, frustrating, and unclear. I just wanted transparency and respect as a returning customer, but I didn't get that. Be cautious when dealing with this business--especially when it comes to money and communication. read more

Three months ago x rays, cat scans., and MRI indicated my 80 year old right hip was due for replacement. Holding for surgery to be a last resort I learned of Dr Misch. After 2 months. some acupuncture. Herbal Hot packs and herbal pills my limp and pain are gone. I am astounded. I do not understand the science behind it. But surgery has been avoided. Dr. Misch was supportive and caring throughout the process. I am a believer in Eastern medicine and I think that too is important. I have recommended her to family and friends. read more

I'm shocked Dr. Linda doesn't have 5 stars. She was able to see me same day and helped my digestive issues immediately. I had never had acupuncture before and was a little nervous but she was very calming and explained everything to me as she was doing it so I wasn't nervous. She also gave me some herbs at the end of the session to help with any inflammation that came up. She was reasonably priced and so helpful and I appreciated that unlike other offices I've been to, she didn't try to sell me more visits or a package. Instead she said to drop in or call for an appointment when I needed to. I walked out of the 50-minute session so much calmer. My heart rate dropped about 20BPM from when I got there to when I left and i got immediate relief. And my stomach pain and inflammation was greatly reduced!! I don't understand why so many poor reviews? When I met Dr Misch I was suffering from so many ailments. Over the course of 6 months she helped me lose 60 pounds, regain normally sleep patterns. Grow my hair and nails back healthy. Even more importantly she got me off several pills i was taking to manage back pain. She also relieved me of all western medicines for intermittent stress induced issues. As a client in the waiting room I have had countless conversations with other clients she has worked wonders for. Many clients see her for fertility and she has several successful pregnancies in her resume. Dr Misch has always been gracious to me and has accommodated my schedule and budget for years. I have referred several people to her for pain. fibroids, depression and weight loss. It's aweful to see all these reviews that clearly discredit the AMAZING work she does. I am forever grateful for all she has done for me. She has even done acupuncture on my 10 pound dog whom was having behavioral problems. read more

I've been holding off on this review for quite some time. I finally got around to throwing out the bottle of herbs sitting on my shelf for months, so I decided it was time to share my cautionary tale. I found Linda Misch through my insurance's website. I've had acupuncture in the past and decided to give it another go. The place looks borderline sketchy, the only really positive was that there was plenty of parking. No other customers there... which for lunch time on a weekday is always not a great sign. She also assumed I was there for a massage rather than acupuncture... so obviously not the primary business there. So at the start of the treatment a brief interview, where she asked me what my problems were... then proceeded to tell me how she could tell all of that by looking at my tongue and eyes. Funny how she couldn't tell me that before I told her. So on to the needlework... instead of the standard spread of needles... she proceeded to use one larger needle in my back... asked if it hurt and when I said no she jabbed it in harder... telling me by doing so she was "taking away my pain". Yeah, not so much. Ditto for one in the side of my leg. Overall a very unsatisfactory session. So then come the pills and the bill. Now my insurance should have covered most of the cost. However she tells me I have to pay full price for everything as a "deposit" because she didn't have time to check my insurance. Which is a total crock of shit. I was the only patient there and I was laying there with a couple needles in me for about 45 minutes. There was plenty of time to check it. It's just a scam to get the full rate if you decide not to come back. After months she never contacted my insurance, never followed up and my insurance told me there was nothing they could do. So out goes the $26 bottle of pills that made me nauseous finally. My little reminder to get this review written. I took it as a lesson in doing more research on providers. I believe in some benefits to acupuncture, but very highly recommend against going here. There's so many reputable places in L.A. not to have to deal with sketchy crap like this. Overall I'd say my biggest issue was the highly sketchy accounting. Some people might not have a problem with the facility or the treatment. I just found the entire experience horrid. read more

This is for her new location on 87 th st in Westchester. I bought a Groupon for a 1 hr massage. Immediately the bait and switch begins. I'm told if I pay $10 extra, I could have a private room. I say no, I would like what the Groupon covers. So I get a foot massage type massage (fully clothed) without the foot soak. Heavens I can get the same thing for less than the Groupon "deal" at my neighborhood Chinese reflexology location. Really misleading on Groupon. read more

Dr Linda is an amazing person. Not only a great doctor but a great person. She is very personable and really cares about your well being... I had a bad back that an emergency chiropractor session did nothing... I could hardly walk cause of the pain. After the first treatment it was much better By the third and last treatment it was totally pain free... The best thing you could do is give her a try... She accepts insurance!!! read more

I walked in, told Linda I had pain in my lower back. She stuck a needle in my hand, ask me to stand up and sit down a few times (which previously was difficult) and I felt the pain subside after about 5 times sitting up and down. From that point I was sold, I will be visiting regularly. Don't expect to have everything fixed at once. You have to see her regularly until whatever your ailment is gets fixed, and then all you need is monthly maintenance. PS - She seems kind of standoffish at first if you are new client, but is really nice once you get to know her. read more

It was my first time trying acupuncture and I was a little nervous but she is very exxperienced and made me feel comfortable right away. She is very attentive and makes sure you are well taken care of. I woke up with major elbow pain. I couldn't even touch the skin it was so painful. I found Dr. Linda on yelp and I'm so glad I did! She asked me a few questions and started to look for the pain source in my elbow. She stuck one needle in my leg, and the pain was instantly lessened. She let it sit for a few minutes then she rubbed my elbow vigorously and added three more needles on my head and one on my elbow. I was there for maybe 20 minutes and the pain was gone. I felt a tiny bit sore for the next day from the muscle work she did but my elbow hasn't hurt since. I highly recommend her!!! read more

Dr. Linda Misch has been instrumental in removing the ongoing problem with my eyes. For years I had been told that the bumps on white part of my eyes were incurable and was given steroid drops to treat them and calm the inflammation. I decided to ask Dr Misch to check my eyes one day and she discovered that it was due to having high cholesterol (which i knew i had) and that the liver was leaving deposits of this on my eyes. After receiving adequate treatment from Dr Misch my eyes are back to normal and i haven't experienced any additional issues!! It's quite amazing!!! Dr Misch is really wonderful at diagnosing the 'cause' of the problem and not just the 'symptoms'. :)) I encourage anyone who has a problem to see Dr. Misch!! read more

I can't say enough about Dr. Misch! I began seeing her at the referral of a friend who said how good she was, and I was not disappointed. I had been suffering from a chronic cough & high blood pressure for over a year. I had been to my regular doctor & was placed on numerous medications. The medications did not solve the problem, after I began treatment with Dr. Misch I was able to eliminate some of the medications & I have been pretty much "cough free" since she treated me. She is a wonderful doctor, who is kind and caring and really listens to her patients. I will definitely continue to see Dr. Misch, and would recommend her highly. I thankfully have been visiting this doctor for acupuncture for about 3 months and it has really made a significant improvement in my health. I had been suffering with painful lower back problems that had become increasingly difficult to deal with. Dr Linda Misch was able to diagnose that the problem stemmed from a more larger issue and treated both the back pain and what the true cause of it was. Now, I feel really great and physically more normal. I know that if I had not been treated by Dr Misch and instead by typical Westernized medicine, my problems would have still existed (or gotten worse) and I would have had to rely on various medications. This is the first time I have felt compelled to actually write a review on yelp, but in this case I had to so that others don't have to waste the time that I did on misdiagnosis and ineffective treatment. I had harsh pain in my upper back due to what I was told was a problem in my C7 vertebrae. After 4 months of ineffective "treatment" (physical therapy), I decided it was time to try something different. I visited Dr. Misch, and despite my initial skepticism, was pain free after only two sessions. I just wish that I had visited her earlier, as this would have saved me four months of excruciating pain and frustration. read more

I had gone to Linda 2 other times and had a good experience (nothing great, but she did relieve some of my persistent back tension/pain.) I then went to Linda a 3rd time when I woke up with a stiff neck and couldn't move my neck at all, it was stuck and cocked to one side. My boyfriend had dropped me off as I was hurt to the point of being unable to drive. Linda told him to come back in 40 minutes and she would have my neck all straight again. Well, spoiler alert-that didn't happen! She started with me sitting up in a chair and poked a needle in each of my calves, which made me nauseous and I almost passed out. I hadn't been able to eat that morning and the sensation of needles while sitting up caused me to almost faint. She made my boyfriend get me food before she would start the therapy again so i get some food in me and she has me lie down and wait. An hour has already passed and then after another hour of wrapping my shoulder in herbs, doing some cupping and light needlework, my neck felt exactly the same as it did before. She said I would have to come back for 2 more treatments for full relief (which was not what she promised originally). Then she always tells me I have to pay extra for the cupping because insurance never covers it, but I checked with my insurance and they said they do so I let her know but she insisted I was wrong. She told me next time she won't do cupping for me and I could go see another acupuncturist. I have concluded after this 3rd time that Linda is rude, almost impossible to understand (her English is very limited) and inept when it comes to actually healing and I will never be paying her a visit again.
