Make sure you wear comfortable shoes! The is apparently a closer car park for anyone who would have trouble with the walk. The walk to the castle was quite nice and I have to admit I enjoyed the walk, the view from the front of the castle down on the valley and the owl centre more than the castle itself. I was unimpressed with the castle as there were only a few rooms open to the public since the family lives there. The audio tour is extremely long-winded and my husband and I both quit using that very quickly or we'd probably have been there for hours. I suppose it was something to do but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, really. There are a lot of things I'd love to take my family to when they visit from America but this is certainly not one of them. I really didn't find it worth the money.

A cash machine has recently been installed outside, meaning it is available even when the post office is closed. The only drawback is the lack of parking around the post office, there can often be a long walk from the car when carrying several parcels to be posted. They have most of the normal post office transactions, but do not do the check and send for passports.
