Anyway, I found the service overpriced, took a long time, and the lady working the job didn't seem very interested in having a new customer. She was kind of rude, made it seem like she didn't have much time to serve me, kind of "barked orders" at me. I've never been to an alterations person before and didn't know what to expect, so I was slow and inexperienced, she probably sensed that, but still "barked" at me and seemed to really be inconvenienced by me and my request for service. The job was OK, but when I picked it up, she didn't ask me if I was satisfied or anything, just held out her hand for pay. It was a lot more costly than I had imagined, and since she only accepted cash or a check, I had to leave my item, go home and get more money, then pick up later. I was so put off by her that I almost left the item there and thought, "you can have my pants!" I did go pick up later, but I don't even want to wear the pants because they remind me of her! I'll not go back, for sure.

She said that she would stay late to make sure she got my jacket fixed for me in time for my interview and would call me that afternoon when she was done. She was pleasant and told me that it would not be a problem and that she would take care of it. We set up a time for the next day, and we showed up. She welcomed us with open arms and had my daughter try on the dress and from there took her measurements and scheduled us to come back the next day for another fitting and to pick up the dress. She also had to adjust her heels and apply elastic to the back of the strap. I would highly recommend Ms. Edna, the next time you're looking to get your alterations done.
