My physical problem requires muscles stretched and I find my therapist does an excellent job using…read morehands and cupping to stretch those contracting muscles. She is sensitive and caring and on time. I have no complaints and I've been here 3 times now. DS

***Update, the owner (Bella) called me back after this review & yelled at me on the phone making…read moretons of excuses for her therapist then throwing in that "maybe she didn't understand". When it came to the time early she said my truck & phone clock MUST be wrong because she was there. Check the time on my reciept lady. I even sat & drank water then went to the washroom before I paid. She is only nice until you give criticism. Oh also, she said she has had SO many bad massages & if she asked someone to fix it everytime she would have a hundred free massages, so that means I should just suck it up & give you more money right? After your snarky attitude I am never going back. You were so nice & fake until I criticized a therapist. AND I'm sick now thanks to her sniffling the whole time, I am on maternity leave & haven't been anywhere else except my own home since then or a few days prior either so I know it was from her too, thanks a lot!*** I have had 3 different therapists here. 1 was good, 1 was mediocre. However last time I went in the newest one seemed like she had no idea what she was doing. Nothing was set up, there was only one other client in the building with the other massuese already so no excuses. I asked 3 times to focus only on my upper back/neck/shoulders & she continued to give me a full body massage, I gave up. Asked her multiple times to use more pressure & she would for a minute or 2 then go back to basically rubbing oil into my skin. She also finished 8 minutes early. Waste of almost $100. When I talked to the owner about it all she offered was for me to come back in 2 days for another massage that I would still pay for (for her bad work ethic, sad right?) she would take a measly 20% off the extra money I would need to spend. No way I am throwing more money to you this week when I should have only needed one in the first place. My boyfriend said a refund/ partial refund or free massage should have been in order. She said she would call me the next day to talk about a resolution. She never bothered to call me back.. Pathetic. You just lost at least 2 customers. Too many good massage places in Red Deer to gamble with crap service & a "massage" that didn't do anything. I should have walked out in the first 5 minutes.

I had a pretty significant ski accident in January 2011. A co-worker had recommended I go to a…read morephysio place in town, and I did. However, after a couple visits, I was told I was good to go. Clearly I wasn't, because my knee was nowhere near stable, and I was not really getting better. By the way, this review is absolutely about my experience, and NOT because I know Mel, who runs Collegiate. I am a self-labeled consumer advocate who just wants to help people make the right choices. Anyway, I went there in the early summer of 2011, clearly frustrated about the knee. The tests that were performed were over and above what was done at the previous physio place. And the prescribed exercises helped a lot, when combined with urban hikes (ask me what an urban hike is, if you're curious) and regular hiking. I re-injured it again this year, and again, after a few months of it not really getting better fast enough, I returned to see what the problem was this time. It wasn't exactly the same injury this time. And sure enough, the stretches prescribed have made a difference right away, provided I keep them up in the prescribed intervals. They have moved to a new location which I think will be HUGE for them, and for accessibility to all.
