So good I had to go twice. The staff is very friendly, making Linda's feel extra homey. Even though I was impressed with my dine in experience, I was blown away by my togo experience! The worst deprive thru service..the guy who took my order was nice but after that omg...first the guy after tried to give me one taco (I order 2 bean bacon and egg) said I only got charged for one..I said nope pd $8 So i waited 10 minutes Almost drove off but checked and they gave me 2 bean and bacon So I went inside and the lady at register was so rude..dismissed me to the side and the guy who came was also rude and just took my bag and came back with another bag no sorry or anything..I get it yall r busy but its ridiculous how yall treat customers..I was the only in there with wrong orders. I been here a couple of times and I have no complaints. Food is well done and taste just as good. Tortillas are homemade as well as the food. Staff are friendly and the place is well kept. A Timeless Favorite My family and I have been going to Linda's Mexican Restaurant for over 20 years, and it has never disappointed. Every visit feels like eating in my grandma's kitchen--the food is always authentic, flavorful, and consistent. The flour tortillas are top-notch--thick, flavorful, and leave a slight, satisfying residue on your hands. But my personal favorite is the corn tortillas. Unlike the usual small ones you find elsewhere, these are the same size and weight as the flour, making every bite more satisfying. The pricing is incredibly reasonable. For four plates and drinks, we paid just $47--a great deal considering the quality and portions. Even after moving away from Corpus 10 years ago, Linda's remains a must-visit whenever I'm back home, even if it's just a quick stop at the drive-thru. Dined in for breakfast and had the green chicken enchiladas (3) plate with rice and refried beans (charro beans not available at the time) and everything was great, generous portions of tender shredded chicken filling, perfectly melted cheese and amount of tomatillo sauce, not greasy at all. It seemed to be super fresh which is surprising for a 7am order of enchiladas (they often taste like a quick microwave job of last night's batch at some places in the morning, cough-Acapulco-cough). Did I mention their fluffy hot flour tortillas were top notch? Great price and speedy service, albeit I was the only one inside, although they had some cars in the drive thru. I also grabbed a carne guisada taco to-go - very tender chunks, but not really anything to repeat for me. Traveling to Corpus Christi for work and it was recommended to check this local Mexican place out for dinner. I have already been twice! This place is fantastic and extremely cheap. This is by no means a fancy Mexican restaurant. It's extremely old and most of the menu items you pick from photos. Each time I have gotten the taco plate that comes with rice and beans. The portions and quality of food have to be the best Mexican I've had in quite some time. If you are in the Corpus area, I'd highly recommend stopping in here for breakfast, lunch or dinner! read more

This establishment has been serving Corpus Christi for many years and is one of few surviving Mexican restaurants that is consist with portions and taste. Nothing like homemade tortillas that are ordered on their own because they are just that good. Breakfast is hardy and one goes away with a clean plate. Lunch and Dinner are also the same; with portions served like one was at home. Service is good, but at times the ladies can be too quick that they lose the order because of how packed this place can get and the cliental that sits forever at a table that one is waiting on. Thought I'd trust the rating on Yelp and came to check the place out. It's been 40min+ and my order has yet to come out. Even as I'm sitting here writing this I'm contemplating leaving and canceling the order as I've lost a great amount of my time here, and my plans for the night are pretty much ruined. Several staff members seem to be present and only 4 other customers were in the dine in area. Chips and salsa taste pretty generic. Update food just came out, beans and rice cold, and fajitas lukewarm, I picked at what I couldn't eat and left, as I already lost almost an hour of my time. Save your money folks. Was wanting to find a good puffy taco and this place was recommended on a local site. The tacos were good but a little greasy which may be unavoidable for puffy tacos. The cheese was a shredded American but I liked it. Tried the carne guisada and it was good but a little red and I prefer the brown sauce. Why did it take me so long to try this place? Seriously legit Mexican breakfast. I ordered the #8 which was eggs, tamales, papas & frijoles with two flour tortillas. The tortillas, beans and tamales were perfection. They definitely use a quality fat source in the beans (bacon grease most likely) as they were quite delicious. I actually didn't want papas and the menu had said sour cream but did not say papas, so I just skipped them. The eggs were pretty standard but plopped into a perfectly executed warm tortilla with some frijoles they made a terrific taco. Kiddo enjoyed his pancakes, eggs and bacon as well. The place was pretty busy and service pretty standard, it took awhile for the food to arrive probably due to being busy but not crazily slow. I'd have preferred fountain sodas to canned but that's a personal preference. Prices are extremely reasonable. Linda's will definitely make it into the breakfast rotation when I'm in town. read more
