Frustratingly, we did not realize this was the best, so we only got one bottle. The cerise that they make is exquisite. If you go, make sure to get a few bottles! We were led into a private room and our wine guide was excellent and super friendly - she knew shit out of some wines. They had water out for us to sip and even had a cheese plate to nibble on. Here are some of the highlights 1. We sipped semillon (semi-ee-on) which are sweet whites, made from grapes in the Hunter Valley cold micro climate. 2. We sampled their Sav Blanc which is an easy drinking wine and costs about $20 per bottle. 3. Their Verdelho pairs well with spicy foods and curries :) 4. Their Reserve Chardonnay is made from grapes grown in volcanic ash and while it starts off with some oaky flavour it finishes fairly dry. 5. One of the favs was the Rose which took about three sips to really get your brain to taste. They make this using the French style using Shiraz grapes and the skins are left on for a few hours. 6. Another popular win is their Pinot Noir which is made using a wild ferment rather than controlled it is a Pouters favorite. Another bit of knowledge I learned at this estate is that it is illegal to add sugar to wines, but the longer you leave the grape on the vine - the sweeter the grape! Highly Recommend!!!! Even got a tour discount which some of the other wineries did not offer. Overall great experience and beautiful location.

The woman hosting us was nice and knowledgeable about the wine. The wines themselves were pretty good. The sparkling zibibbo was lovely. I had never tried one until I went here. I bought one to take with me. I also picked up a bottle of shiraz. Not a bad place to start a day of wine tasting. One interesting thing that they had was single serving bottles that had plastic glasses attached to them. Pretty nifty.

Neville handled our wine tasting, and he was knowledgable in the wines and was a great conversationalist. He even allowed us to try some wines that weren't on the wine tasting menu! The menu had a wide variety of whites and reds, and even some dessert wines, which I am personally more partial to. The wines, views, staff, and atmosphere were all equally amazing!

Out front there was some interesting sculptures that interested my 18 month old niece. We were seated around wine barrels used as tables andgot to try a good number of their wines. Particularly notable was their "Shareholder" Shiraz, which I picked up a bottle of. Others were very impressed with their "Moondance" dessert Gewurztraminer. All of their dessert wines have a "moon" theme. I liked it, but not enough to pick up a bottle. One interesting fact was that many of the wines are named after deceased members of the family that owns the winery. The "Shareholder" will someday be renamed after one of the family members that was serving another group. Hopefully it'll stay the "Shareholder" for a long time.

There's also plenty of parking and seating as well, and the venue was big enough that it didn't feel too crowded from all the people, but not big enough that you would get lost. Overall, this is a great place to grab a bite to eat, sit back, and drink some wine and enjoy the view with friends.

Tasting was only 10$ per person and we went through a wide selection of whites, reds and sweeter wine. I realized that the experience could have been a bit better had we arrived there before the day was almost ending. The tasting felt a bit rushed but our sommelier was nice and helpful nonetheless.
