Put in some Instagrammable backdrop and charge visitor a premium admission so they can do all the selfies and post it online. I have to thanks Christel Lake Lavender for opening up their property and share with the public. There is no admission fees at all to visit. One might argue where is the Lavender field? But the set up of this farm is more educational with different varieties of lavender planted. There are even a play area for kids. Picnic areas with a pop up "restaurant" if you want to grab a bite. Trails to walk around the lake. All these for free?! Property is well maintained and you can tell the owner is proud of his farm. Check in at the gift shop if you want a private tour around the property. They also host private events and weddings. The lake is just the perfect back drop for photographs for that special day. I love and support local business. So I highly recommend you to visit Christel Lake Lavender when you in the Port Perry area and check out what they offers.

A lot of work and forethought has gone into the pieces by students as the museum is a program for Sir Sandford Fleming College. The grounds here have ample parking and even hooks up for RV if you happens to have one. It hosts horse and dog shows, sport and country shows and even poker events. The dog show I attended this weekend was well organized and the building itself is really spacious and well ventilated.
