It was always a seamless process, done entirely by secure web upload and Zoom (I've never even been to their office in person!). The process was so smooth that I continued to use them even after moving out of California, and only stopped using Cynthia's services because I need a local tax expert who can deal with the local tax insanity in my new town in a different state. A lot of times we had issues with either the IRS or the state of California contesting our returns for one reason or another. Cynthia always advised us how to respond and held our hand during the process, and when possible she even called the IRS herself to have our refunds released. Pricing is very fair considering you get your taxes done by an actual IRS Enrolled Agent (not some made-up "Tax Advisor" who has no training or expertise in tax law, which is what you get at the big national chains).

If you have too many clients and are too busy, at the very least respond and tell us, it takes less than a minute. Don't just repeatedly ignore our emails when you're the ones that offered to be helpful. Very unprofessional.

My husband is a musician who does lots of gig/freelance work and we wanted to get professional eyes on our taxes as our situation has become more complex. We had an intro call with Sandy who assured us she could help with our situation. We then decided to take the next step and provided all of our documents within their portal on March 3rd. After submitting we heard nothing back from them for weeks and so we called towards the end of the month to check in. When we did this they only then started asking us for additional documents and wanted us to reformat all profits and losses within their specific document formats despite us already providing these 4 weeks prior in our own format. We asked them if they could just use our existing documents and they said that would be an additional bookkeeper service of $300. At this point we were very frustrated that they took an entire month to tell us all of this after we submitted initial documents. We ended up filing with an alternative.
