I had been photographing seriously for about a year when I sought out Lindsey for private Lightroom lessons. I had taken a couple of Lightroom workshops in a group setting. I knew the tools. But I was missing the "why?" Why do I want to open the shadows instead of changing the exposure? Why do I want to use the gradient tool at that angle instead of this angle. Why is masking in the Detail area important? Anyone who wants to learn photography, especially by taking private photography lessons, so you can build a body of work you are proud of, must go deeper into Lightroom. I recently had a family portrait session with Lindsey and it was a great experience! She's really easy going and professional (a tough balance). We had photos taken with our dogs, one of which is pretty squirmy and rambunctious. Lindsey and her assistant Angela were really patient while we calmed him down, which we really appreciated. Most importantly, our pictures look fantastic! You can really tell Lindsey and her team spend time making sure to choose the best shots, as well as editing them in a tasteful way.
