Located at McArthurGlen Designer Outlet - YVR Airport (minutes from the terminal), come here after you've got all your shopping done & treat yourself - you deserve it. It had a cheesecake-like base layer topped with chocolate ganache and a chocolate short crust. The berries on top were all carefully picked - perfect in shape, all deliciously sweet, without any tartness. Loved the chocolate fish detail that paid homage to the area - what a thoughtful touch. I picked up a bag of chocolate covered pretzels and some toffee with milk chocolate and nuts. Now I should have sampled the toffee at the store. Why you may ask well it was so damn good I ate it all after dinner and had to wait to buy more the next morning. I fantasize about this treat constantly once I ran out. It had the perfict crunch when biting into it. My brain exploded with sensory overload due to the unimaginable quality of the toffee and chocolate zapping every taste bud my body offered. Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory has been very generous for this year because they donated $500,000 of chocolates to frontline healthcare workers and community groups across Canada. This year I received their Easter chocolates, and I ate it for the first time just today after it sat in my cupboard for over 5 months - I just had a craving for Rocky Mountain chocolate! Their milk chocolate Easter bunny was so good, and mostly importantly, it wasn't too sweet. There were green and orange coloured carrot shaped gummies inside the bunny's head that tasted like Sunkist orange fruit gummies that that gave me nostalgic memories of elementary school snack food. They have a great selection of sweet things in this little shop, so take my advice and don't go in on an empty stomach! The bags of factory second chocolates, of which they have several different kinds to choose from, are $10 each as well as buy two get one free. So for $20 plus tax you get a sizable chunk of choc - I'd say more than enough for a birthday, games night or dinner party. I'm really looking forward to returning, but next time I will have my significant other hide the goods from me! :)
