Another review based on what something IS compared to what it represents itself to be. Lindy Motel is a great little place to sleep when visiting northern PA for the natural beauty or when spending your days on the water or in the trees. We came for star and meteor gazing (the nearby Cherry Springs Park is one of the least light polluted locations east of the mighty Mississippi, making an ideal spot for staring up at a dark night sky) and my daughter found this great little motel. Composed of little duplex cabins built in the 1930's, it draws on ancestral memories of roadside motels in the age before interstate highways -- what my wife wistfully calls "little houses." Room rates are quite fair. The rooms are not fancy -- to describe it as having a TV, a mini-fridge, a window air conditioner, a coffee pot, two beds, a bathroom with walk in shower is accurate but makes it sound far fancier than it is. The holiday inn it is not. But it is quite comfortable and well maintained. The beds are firm and the room is clean and the hot water is hot. The grounds are welcoming, with a small playground and free roaming roosters (you can visit the lady hens at the coop.) And the surroundings are serene! I can't end this without stating just how wonderful the owner is. He kept the office open late to accommodate our delay due to traffic issues. And he graciously priority mailed an item to me that I left behind, and refused to let me pay even the postage. A true gentleman. We will be back next summer, and we will stay here! Customers for life.

Avoid. According to the owner -manager. The office is not open on Tuesdays and they take off Sundays.

It is the most peaceful place and we loved staying there. There is a shared living room, kitchen, and wrap around porch. We spent hours on the porch as we don't have any outdoor space at our home in the city. We met sooo many nice people who were staying there and we all hung out on the porch together each day. We arrived on a Sunday night and learned from other guests that no places are open for dining on Sundays, so we went to the local food store and bought steaks and other side dishes and cooked out on the gas grill area. Like everyone is saying in their reviews, the breakfast is spectacular. We also bought a ton of homemade jam, salsa, and honey in the gift shop. It was quite reasonably priced. In terms of exercising, I didn't really feel safe biking or running from the bnb as the roads have no shoulder and the large trucks speed down the road, but my bf biked from there every day. I walked the steep hilly dirt road across the street and drove to safer places to run/bike. Everything is a pretty far drive away, but I think that is normal life for this part of the state and we just enjoyed the scenery of country life on our drives. I def would stay here again next time if I come back to this area.

Absolutely beautiful property, many amenities for guests to enjoy and the two corgis running around was a lovely bonus if you ask my 8 year old daughter. We enjoyed sitting on the covered porch of the farmhouse and playing board games while we waited for dusk. Breakfast was delicious - plenty of options to meet every palate. Lots of cute goodies in the gift shop as well. Price was very reasonable, especially for the service provided. We would love to stay again one day!

We stayed in one of the suites as all the cabins had been already booked. But even though you have neighbors, you don't get the feeling that you're crowded. One of my favorite parts was sitting on the balcony at night and in the early morning staring at the creek. Brings a sense of peace and calm. The room was fully stocked with towels, sheets, washcloths. All sorts of kitchen gadgets. There is an AC, fan, fireplace. Pretty much everything you need for your stay is provided. Now cellphone service is spotty to non existent so plan accordingly. The place has wifi but the signal at the suites isn't very strong so it was constantly going in and out. My only complaint is that the gazebo has this giant led light strip that they keep on all night. We wanted to take some photos of the night sky but this bright light that is kept on prevented us from doing that. All in all, great place to spend a few days with some peace and quiet.

The images on the website are fake. Our room was not a suite, not luxury and not spacious as depicted. It was tiny! Our bed was next to the refrigerator. We had to walk one at a time between the bed and kitchen counter. The sofa was so old when we sat down we sank into the floor and had a very hard time getting up out of the hole. We will not return. We got so tired of hearing the truck engines on our short vacation. What a disappointment. Do not recommend.
