Centrale was the origination and termination of most of my journeys on Milan's metro. The metro…read morestation is very busy of course and it's all underground. I will have a separate review of the railway station - the two are connected. There is great signage here even if it did take me three days to determine the best station to exit in the direction of my hotel. Lots of ticketing machines in the ticketing lobby. The ticketing lobby is clean and has some vending machines with candies, snacks and soft drinks. There did not appear to be any litter or graffiti. Centrale is on two of the metro lines. On the M3 (Yellow Line), it is between Sondrio (towards Comasina) and Repubblica (towards San Donato). On the M2 (Green Line), it is between Caiazzo (towards Cologno and Gessate) and Gioia (towards Abbiategrasso and Milanofiori). The station does have handicapped access with ramps and elevators between the street level, the ticketing concourse and the platforms. [Review 10667 overall, 435 of 2019.]

I did find it to be difficult to navigate the station with multiple entrances and exits, especially after arriving in Milan at night, but once you find the right entrance/exit for you, it's pretty much straightforward. Plenty of ticket machines and staff in day time only. Not the prettiest or most exciting of metro stations, which you may expect considering how grand Centrale Station is overall... but certainly does the job. 3*

Fortunately we were able to randomly find Lake Como Driver on google. I think this is a husband and wife team running a small "taxi" service (but really more like a black car service). Alessandro doesn't speak much English, but we were able to work out pickup and drop off locations over the phone with his wife. Prompt pickup, nice car (newer model Range Rover), and easy to work with. I'm assuming they'd prefer to be booked on a longer term basis, but we were super happy he could pick us up on short notice. Also, both were very nice. Starting off with a buon giorno and parla inglese and finishing with a grazie probably helps (i speak zero italian, but it's always good to make an effort!). Mostly I'm writing this because the ride was pleasant, but also because there are so few reviews for car service around Lake Como. Hope it helps someone!
