I heard a good review on this place a few months ago, and so we decided to try it. And I'm SO HAPPY we did. The same server is always there and she is so welcoming and friendly. The hot and sour soup is my go to. It's one of the best I've ever had, and let me just say I've tried it everywhere that has it on the menu! My parents love the pad Thai, the war wonton soup, the fried rices. I have not had a bad meal or experience there. And the place is always so clean and smells good. let me start out by saying we knew that they were going to be busy for Christmas dinner 2024. I placed our pick up order three hours before it was going to picked up. The order consisted of three entrées, potstickers, barbecued pork and 6 small sauces. The order we got was the three entrées, one small white rice, four large pink sauces and the barbecued pork with no hot mustard or seeds. The guy that took my order repeated back my order and everything was correct. they also were not taking payment over the phone as I'm sure they were slammed that evening. It was good basic Chinese food. I like to rate a Chinese restaurant by its fried shrimp. And this one was good. not a lot of batter and a full size shrimp inside of it. Amazing, if you are looking for a chinese fusion restaurant this is it! Super friendly service, good tasting chinese food and inside is packed. ( you know what that's mean) :D We ordered Mongolian beef, and chicken pad thai because we like a little spice and it was just the way we like it. First time in White City and was craving some asian food. We were seated right away. The place was pretty with lanterns hanging on the ceiling. For appetizers we ordered pot stickers, it tasted fresh and juicy. For entrees we ordered Honey walnut shrimp and Ling's special lo mein. They were both cooked to perfection. The Honey walnut shrimp was fried perfectly, it still had the crunch even though there was delicous sauce on it. Lo Mein had great flavor, meat was tender and easy to eat. Considering it being a small town, the food went beyond the standard. Overall all the service was amazing and food was wonderful. If we are nearby again we will definitely stop by! read more

I gave it four tries!! That is two more than usual and I regret it! Four bad experiences with soggy vegetables and they were burnt as if they were sitting all day in a crockpot- but burnt first- then got thrown on a plate. I go out to eat because I try to experience something different that I maybe couldn't make at home, or just to enjoy the experience of some delicious flavors while visiting with friends... But there is no flavor at Ling's, sadly. The staff is so friendly... Which is probably why I gave it so many chances. We ordered from here for the first time and probably the last time. All in all we spent about $100, paying by credit card as we had no cash. We ended up forgetting a couple of sauces which were 75 cents. I was shocked that he was charging us after spending $100. Thankfully, a kind gentlemen paid for the sauces for us and his generosity was appreciated. When we arrived home we spent almost ten minutes deciphering which order belonged to which person as nothing was marked, which we requested be done. The food was not hot to begin with so was lukewarm by the time we got it figured out and could eat. I had mar far chicken, chicken chow mien and pork fried rice. The chicken was fine, but very few pieces. The rice was fine. The chow mien was loaded with celery....like sub gum chow mien. I hate celery so this was disappointing. read more

Finally found a place that makes Mongolian Beef properly. Lots of beef, onions, scallions, chile peppers on a bed of crispy cellophane noodles. Not this junk I've come across that is loaded with vegetables. They could have added a few more rice noodles and scallions. And it had a tiny bit of a burnt smell to it. I'd definitely would order it again though. Also ordered the Lo Mein. Which after moving here, I learned this is what to order, not Chow Mein. The Chow Mein where I'm originally from is nothing like what you get in Oregon. It's more like the Lo Mein. The Lo Mein here was tasty, but the noodles are too thin. I've seen pictures from a few years ago where they used thicker noodles. They need to go back to cooking with those noodles. These noodles we're like string. The Pot Stickers were nothing to write home about. Bland. Needs more ginger, and they were soggy. Lastly, for earth sake, STOP using Styrofoam people!! Styrofoam being used all over the Rogue Valley. Plus, there's something about eating Chinese food out of the cartons. Use those, please! read more

Worst dinner we've ever had and service was terrible as well. Waiter was awful, wasn't even listening when we ordered cause he had a friend at the table behind us. We were trying to ask if they had a certain dish, he had no idea and didn't even bother to check. After ordering we were brought out luke warm potato soup and then had to ask for spoons and 2 minutes later our meals. Food was ok. Not great, more breading than chicken. We were never checked on again. Party of 3 given 2 fortune cookies and a bill. When I flagged him down to ask for a container to take home some pink sauce I was told it would be $1. I already overpaid as they have recently changed menu and prices. Will not be going back. And the waiter should go back to washing dishes. read more

We have given this place several chances and it's actually getting worse! The Moo goo gai pan and stir fry was greasy while the meat inside them was dry. The rice was burnt. The orange sauce had way too much horse radish. The sweet and sour was both dry and tasteless. From the flavor it's easy to tell it's obviously not fresh at all. Best Chinese food in the rogue valley. There pink sauce is perfect love it. There bbq pork is moist. The pork fried rice is delicious and they put lg pieces of pork chunks in the rice.
