I found them at random in the Yellow Pages, while looking for a local garage - they specialise in Volvos, and so having one myself, they seemed ideal. I'd always been a bit wary when using a garage for the first time without recommendation, especially as a woman - would they see me coming? But I needn't have worried here. They always take time to explain what needs doing, and never seem to carry out any unecessary repairs. Their invoices are clear and easy to follow, and prices are excellent - if you have a Volvo then they can usually source reconditioned spares at very good prices. When I showed my bills from Gelder's to my dad, who works in a garage at the other side of the country, he confirmed how reasonable they are. My Volvo has long been relegated to the scrap merchant, but I've continued to use Gelder's, as they will repair other car makes too, although it might take them a bit longer to source spares. They don't do MOTs, but they have an agreement with a MOT centre nearby, so they can usually complete the process within the day provided not too much needs doing. Highly recommended!

Who quoted me three weeks before they could look at my car. We have since stayed with Hunters for the vehicle's services & MOTs and I trust them implicity. The site, next to Pride Pack, is well laid out and functional. The staff across all departments are very friendly and I have noticed they don't have much of a staf turnover which I feel is always a good sign that and they get to know you. They are very knowledgable and open, this is especially important when buying a second hand land rover. For the new vehicles the displays are spacious and you are welcome to have a good rummage around the cars. Their service team is wonderful. The option of having the vehicle collect from your door and delivered back is very convenient and courtesy vehicles are available. I have always found them very transparant with costs. On items such as new tyres I enquired about different brands etc which they happily discussed with me and stood by my choice - I have never felt pressurised into items I did not need and have never felt spoken down to. If you are hacing any work done on your vehicle and choose to wait there is a very comfortable client lounge with complimetary tea, coffee, soft drinks and biscuits. There is even a television, selection of newspapers and magazines and a playstation to keep you occupied - it's actually a rather pleasant relaxing place! They also have Land Rover accessories and mechandise on sale so it is a good place for gift buying if you know a Land Rover enthusiast. I find this dealership very comfortable to deal with and this gives me a lot of confidence in them.

The NX is a beautiful car, with well stitched leather and comfortable seats, and it's quirky design and standard kit is actually the reason why I wanted one. Sadly the lack of power, compared to the 3litre Mercedes GLS which was my original preferred car (apologies for swearing LOL). Also as I am 6'2 tall, it was a little more awkward getting in and out whilst driving it today, which I wouldn't have appreciated without the extended test drive. THANK YOU. Due to customer interest the slot times were limited to an hour but Dean was so polite and helpful passing on a massive amount of information. We even had plenty of time to take a test drive and put the car through its paces around Nottingham to the extent of fully satisfying my inquisitive nature. I was totally impressed with Dean's enthusiasm, his knowledge and his friendly nature and wouldn't hesitate in recommending any perspective customers to liaise with Dean in the first instance. Showed us to the car, spoke for a minute, gave us the keys and left us to it. Came back after 5-6 minutes and asked if we want to test drive car. Test drive was spot on. Got a good deal and even chucked in 3 months dealer style warranty and months tax. Car's been beautiful, no problems. I would definitely buy another car from them.
