I want to recommend my favorite antique shop which is centrally located in Lyndhurst. The shop has an incredible range of pieces from rustic ceramic to fine china, maps/coins/stamps from around the world, silverware, and interesting vintage pieces (corkscrews, scales, balances, bed pan warmers, toasting forks, coal scuttles, toothpaste jars). I came back multiple times to enjoy the shop as it takes some time to appreciate all the finds across two floors. The pieces are labelled with prices. She specialises in Silverware is but there are items of furniture, paintings, china, hip flasks, decanters, etc. There is a separate room at the back which sometimes has bargains. A good mooch for an unusual present. Deserves to be supported the owners have a lot of knowledge and it is well worth a visit .It is situated on the opposite side of the road to Marks and Spencer. The cafe is surprisingly nice considering they'd earn a fortune from the coach parties regardless of their quality. Their cream cakes are wonderful and completely fresh - I particularly recommend the eclairs and millionnaire's shortbread. I believe they're all cooked on site and they have a wonderful pastry chef. This is definitely a place worth stopping off for a cream tea so long as you don't mind the crowds in the height of summer. The car park is free and is the only one around for miles, so it's also a good base to explore the pretty village of Godshill.

It's is really a great find! I wish we had one of these nearer to me, The staff seem very friendly and don't mind if you try out the springs or softness. Can't wait to find it again.

The furniture is well finished and shows the grain of the wood beautifully. It would be really romantic to think the pieces were handmade in a workshop at the back, but such is not the case. The man who delivers can be a bit grumpy.
