The east course is a little tougher but the both play well. I was over here looking to see if they might also have a disc course tied to it but didn't see one. Parts of this course dates back to the 20's. They have a very large clubhouse with food and drink as well as a nice practice driving and putting areas. There were a lot of folks out despite the temps and the winds.

Our group booked a 9:50am tee time, tee'd off around 9:45 after the group in front of us tee'd off…read moreearly. Course management/staff failed to mention a tournament was starting at 10:00am - the first group of the tournament caught us and the rest of the regular players pretty quickly, and proceeded to hit into us the rest of the round. After the turn, one of the starters asked if we were in the tournament, and told us the tournament never should have caught us due to a 30 minute gap between our tee time and the starting of the tourney. We were told to "stay on the ass of the group in front of us" to preserve the tournament's pace of play. Towards the end of the round, one of the players behind us bounced their ball off our cart as we were pulling onto the 18th tee box, and then hit just left of it as we approached the green of that hole. We spoke with staff after the round and were told the tournament started at 10:00am, meaning there was no 30 minute buffer. Our round ended at 1:46pm, being four minutes short of a 4 hour round. Staff in the pro shop couldn't have been more condescending about the situation, and scoffed at the idea of players being able to determine when tournaments were being held prior to booking out a tee time. Overall, the experience was horrible, and I would have appreciated a refund on the round. Maybe don't book out normal player tee times prior to a tournament that will have accelerated pace of play, and hone in on those customer service skills across the board. It's a drop in the bucket for them, but I won't be playing here again.

This is a nice little park located on Main Street in Jones. The pond is stocked with numerous types…read moreof game fish. There's a walking trail around it, pavilions and picnic areas, playgrounds and restrooms. Though the sign said they were out of order, it could be because of the weather. There is a little 9 hole disc golf course attached to it. Hard to tell how well it's maintained as all the grass is dormant. To the east there is a practice football and a basketball court.

They use to have carts but haven't seen them in use lately. There are 3 par 4's and the rest are par 3's. There are water hazards, sand traps and elevation changes just as you would see in the larger courses. The prices are reasonable and it plays pretty fast if you are not chasing your balls everywhere like me. Great place for kids to learn or anyone for that matter. It's hidden back in a neighborhood so be careful driving in and out. Could get on the course today as it was just too wet.

I would not recommend this golf course to anyone, especially on a busy Saturday morning. A group of…read morefriends and I decided to get together to try the course out before, a few of us had played before and some of us had not. We waited for 15 minutes at the start as there was lots of congestion due to it being busy. When it was finally our groups turn to go, each for of us took a turn and while we took our turns a group of men behind us yelled insults/complaints at us (I.e. telling us to get off the course, ask for our money back, hurry up) which was extremely distracting and made it hard for all of us to golf. I eventually told the man that we also had to wait and he needed to not criticize us as he could see some of us were new to the game. Once all 4 of us finished, we continued along. This group of men (8 men) left and apparently asked for a rain check because we were "holding up the course" when in reality the course was extremely busy and everyone had to wait at the start. The general manager came to us and yelled at us because we "caused" these men to leave. I felt the general manager, Ty, was extremely rude and disrespectful. I also feel as if we were being discriminated against because we were the only women on the course at the time. I'd recommend this course not be supported as it is not an inclusive space for all levels and some of the regulars seem to be very belligerent.
