She trimmed my hair very well in about 15 minutes and charged me $20. While it might sound high and is definitely more than I would rather pay, the quality of the cut, her generosity of taking me in lat minute/no appointment, and her kindness was all worth it. I'd definitely recommend giving her a shot for hair cuts and trims, but please don't pull a Dani and help her out by making an appointment! She is an exceptional artist. One thing I have to add in all caps is to TRUST THE PROCESS. They will be darker and thicker than you expected after the microblading. A lot of pigment has to be used at the beginning to get them to the right shade after healing, so remember this if you don't know much about microblading. I found her here on yelp, just like you, and called with very little real hope of getting an appointment on such short notice, and pre-holiday at that! But the good Melissa Lyn was able to book me that week, and I could say that 'the rest is history' or that 'I haven't looked back', but this is yelp, and details are essential. I moved here recently from the bay area, and just as many of you are, I was dreading the needle-in-a-haystack search for a new hairstylist, and alllll that goes into it. It's important to mention here that just 6 weeks earlier I had been to a different salon in Port Hueneme, one that came pretty well reviewed on yelp, and well, I began hating my color within two weeks, and she totally jacked up my cut in the back. Melissa Lyn gave me the stylish color and highlights and flattering cut I wanted. That was two months ago, and when I saw her again for a root touch-up and a few more highlights just last week my hair STILL looked good!
