This was my final attempt at tanning. I've tried everything from tanning beds to self tanners and have never had any luck! I always burn and self tanners just look orange and blotchy. I've tried the automated airbrush tanning machines... but the result looks like someone threw mud all over me. So my last attempt at getting a nice tan on my lily white skin was a major success at Liquid Sunshine!!! I've never seen anything so amazing on me! I almost cried because I look so good. Shelley is a miracle worker. Seriously. I have never artificially tanned, spray or otherwise, until last Thursday evening, and after leaving, I can absolutely see why people get addicted! I have medium tone skin that tans easily, but I've spent most of this summer indoors (sadly) and was in dire need of some bronzing prior to an epic Vegas weekend. I recently moved back into LG, and stumbled upon Liquid Sunshine via Yelp while desperately looking for an available appointment on such short notice. I love that you can book appts online, and Shelley had one available at the perfect time for me. I read all the tips prior to going in, and upon arrival at 7:30pm, I was showered, scrubbed, in a loose black dress with no bra, and ready to go! She made me feel super comfortable, as getting butt ass naked in front of someone you've never met can always be a bit disconcerting. She walked me through every step of the process, and I left with a beautiful golden brown color that made me look as though I'd spent 2 weeks on a sunny Hawaiian island - perfection! She warned me that it would look a little funky when I woke up in the morning, and after a brief shower, the color evened out and looked just as it did when I left the salon. It's been almost a week now, and it's faded a bit (I did spend all weekend in the sun and a whole day in the pool) but it still looks even. MAKE SURE TO MOISTURIZE TWICE A DAY. Liquid Sunshine is amazing!! Marie makes sure to make sure you leaving feeling like a bronzed goddess. She makes the experience as comfortable as possible. Be sure to wear something loose, (a maxi dress is perfect). Stay FAR AWAY from water, any drop will be detrimental to the gorgeous tan! I went to Liquid Sunshine for a spray tan before my trip to New York. I could not get in to my usual place, so I chose this particular salon based on great reviews on Yelp! The reviews are correct...the owner Marie is amazing! She was extremely helpful and professional. Her application is unique and different from anyone else I have previously tried. The salon has private changing rooms with drying fans and heated spraying booths which made for a much more comfortable experience. My (ex) place would hurry me out of the spray room to get the next person in, not allowing enough time to dry. Also, the girls at the previous salon would constantly run behind and the airbrushing was always "hit and miss" depending on who was doing it. At Liquid Sunshine only the owner sprays and she clearly has a passion for her 'art' and makes air brush tanning a whole different experience! I was so pleased with the lasting results, I purchased a membership after the first visit and I can tan for one year for only $29.00 per visit. I am convinced it's the best tan in town at this price - Awesome! I strongly recommend Marie at Liquid Sunshine, it's how air brush tanning should be. Perfect! read more

Liquid Sunshine is by far the best spray tanning salon I have been to. Marie is amazing. I usually splurge on a spray tan for special occasions and I must say that it is worth the $45 for the full body tan. My tan usually lasts for about 10 days and the results are fabulous. I come out looking tan not orange and the booths are heated which make for a great spray tan experience. My legs are ALWAYS way too dark and have streaks on them. I paid for 4 tans but could not make an apt once, I forfeited my whole 39$ because I felt bad. I scheduled another tan, asked to reschedule for later in the afternoon and Marie was upset and has ZERO flexibility, told me it was just too hard for her to move around appointments which confused me because she had all day open for appointments, she is not very busy. So I told her I would just cancel and forfeit another 39$ since it was my schedules fault, fine. When I went to schedule my last tan in my package of 4 I was denied due to "repeat no shows". So I guess I paid 100 for one tan in which my legs were streaky and much darker then the rest of my body. As a business owner you usually have no show fees for this instance but do not turn down clientele because they have busy schedules ESPECIALLY if they are paying you regardless of coming to their appointment. BAD BUSINESS. Unfortunately I cannot recommend Marie. UPDATE: I have yet to have my money refunded. Again bad business, and I did not see a point in complaining about my tans as I had already paid for 4 of them. Also, after she seemed upset about me rescheduling I asked her to cancel my 10am all together and take more of my money and to NOT reschedule me at 2pm and that I "completely understood." She then said OKAY SEE YOU AT 2pm. I was very confused. I would not recommend communicating with Maria via text message as things get confused and then you will be rejected as a client. Three strikes and YOU'RE OUT! This is a very unique business, make sure you follow all the rules (the website is riddled with them) and you should be okay. This place is amazing! I'm very fair skinned so making my tan look natural is a huge challenge. Shelley made me feel so at ease and was very thorough when spraying me. For some reason I started feeling faint, probably because I was so busy prepping for my trip I forgot to eat all day, so instead of standing by the fan and letting my tan set I had to sit down right away. Shelley was fantastic!! She brought me water, provided me with some bronzer to fix any smudges, and even texted me to make sure I was ok! Marie is FANTASTIC!!! This was my first time ever getting airbrushed. I have seen and heard of sooooo many horror stories about spray tanning- whether it be that the person looks like a bright orange pumpkin or looks all streaky & splotchy. Needless to say, I was a little weary about this whole process. Luckily, almost all my friends have been to Marie multiple times, and each of them looks great every single time, so I decided to give her a try. She is very professional and friendly and makes you feel so comfortable in front of her, despite the fact that you are standing completely nude in front of a stranger. She pays a lot of attention to detail and takes her time to make sure she gives you the best quality of tan ever. She will also make sure you are happy with the color depth of the tan and adjust accordingly. The airbrushing part takes about 10 mins. And then you stand under the fans for 5 minutes to dry off. Oh, and the smell of the spray tan product is not bad at all. Just be careful about dressing afterwards, and make sure you bring extremely loose clothing so the tan won't rub off all over. The tan will deepen over the next 4-8 hours and once you rinse off, you will see that you have an absolutely amazing, bronze tan that will last for many days! Soooo many people commented on how great my tan looked. My friend and I went to Marie together and her tan looked great as well. We were both so happy with the whole process and end result. I decided to try spray tanning for the first time for my wedding a few weeks ago. I did a trial run a month before, and unfortunately the tan peeled off within a few days with this weird scaly color. I talked to Marie who instantly apologized and offered me a free tan to see if it worked better the second time - it did! I have gone to a number of airbrush tanning salons around San Jose, Willow Glen, and Los Gatos, and this place is the BEST! Marie does a great job, uses a great product, has a extraction booth, and is always running on time! Not to mention, she is super sweet!! My tans always look even, glowing, and beautiful! and they seem to last longer than previous airbrush tans I have had. Price is about $40/per tan but I usually get a package. Online booking is great! I couldn't find a convenient appointment to get tanned for an upcoming vacation so i sent an email, and I got a response within 24 hours! Super accommodating. I've been getting sprayed at Liquid Sunshine for years!!!! It always is the best spray tan I ever get. I will admit I have bought a couple groupons to save money, but you get what you pay for. Shelley and Marie always pay close attention to detail and make sure those certain "problem areas" get the attention they need.
