The only reason I can't give them five stars because they didn't have a great gin selection (which is what I was after). Otherwise this is a fine little store. I talked to the guy and he said he doesn't stock much gin because it doesn't move - the locals drink other things. Understandable. The Liquor Cabinet is a great place to get wine or liquor. This Louisiana boy can still not get used to Mississippi's liquor laws. No booze on Sunday and no booze ever in the grocery store? Come on man! Despite the laws that seem strange to me, I am a rule follower, so off to the liquor store I go. The Liquor Cabinet is located off of Hwy 90 in the back of a strip mall. Do not let the appearance of the strip mall prevent you from visiting. This is a very nice place. My visits here were originally to purchase red wine. The staff were always up to offer suggestions and those worked out well. Lately I have been trying to become a fancy shmancy dude so I have started venturing into Bourbon. The selection of Bourbon here is good to very good. Prices are very competitive and I ended up with a bottle of Bulleit 10 year on my most recent visit. One thing I really like about this shop is the way they list their prices on the liquor. The part of the shelf that faces the customers is a chalk board. Prices are kept up to date and handwritten in chalk. I do not know why I really like this, but I do. That feature coupled with the fact that customers cant just walk up and grab a bottle (the shelves are separated from the sales floor by a counter) gives this place an old school vibe that I really appreciate. Another thing I really like about here is that it is a family run business. Not only is it a family running it, but they make you feel like family even when it is your first visit. I absolutely love a good red with a medium rare steak. I also love locally owned shop owners who are engaging, welcoming and witty. Luckily for me on a weekend trip to the Bay not too long ago we found the Liquor Cabinet. This husband and wife team could not be friendlier and are very knowledgeable about their craft. They answered every one of my questions patiently and kind. We stopped in for a couple of bottles of red wine and left with some new facts about the limited edition Beaujolis wine (Yum!) and moonshine (still have yet to try it...color me scared). If you're in the Bay I definitely recommend you stopping in here. read more

This is my favorite wine shop. They sell liquor as well and have chilled wines nicely displayed. My neighbor also told me that Angie (owner) gift wraps your bottle.
