This review is for State Farm and other Big Box Companies! Did you know that asking your agent a question about your claim is "self-reporting?" This is the counted as a claim! My Aunt has had 2 paid claims, but is being penalized by State Farm by asking questions 5 other items for a policy that she has spent her hard earned money on, in 24 years of ownership! One star for having the decency to give a personal call and email for notifying my Senior Aunt that she has until February 1st to find new insurance! This is sinful and needs to be exposed! Look elsewhere for your coverage. I've been with State Farm for over ten years (including homeowner's insurance the last four) and this last year with Lisa Allen's office has left me feeling taken advantage of...not how I like to feel as a customer. There have been issues with being charged for coverage for a car that was taken off my policy as well as after State Farm decided another car was totaled. Now I've just received a notice in the mail with no warning that my emergency roadside assistance will be discontinued in September of this year for frequency of use?!? I was not made aware there was a limit, nor did I know 7 times in a year was considered too much for 3 drivers/3 vehicles. I'll be looking elsewhere next week. The only reason for two stars rather than one is because State Farm in the past has been great. So much for staying a loyal customer! read more

Terrah has been a breathe of fresh air to work with. I just bought a home and the whole process for it has been so long and overwhelming. I was dreading calling to set up home owners insurance but luckily for me, I got Terrah to help me out with it all. She made the whole process so seamless and worry free. She explained anything and everything to me, and even called my mortgage company for me to add the insurance I got from her, to my mortgage bill. I am only 24 and had no idea how any of this works, so having someone who was so willing to go above and beyond to help me out and answer all of my questions was absolutely wonderful. I HIGHLY recommend calling State Farm, but when you do, I recommend you request Terrah. Not only was she more help than I ever could have asked for, but she's very friendly as well. Worst experience ever with an insurance company. It seems impossible for them to give me the true price for my insurance. The price keeps on increasing every month and obscure fees are being added every time I talk with them. After 1 month, they first increased the price of my insurance without explanation and then cancelled it to ask ~20-30% more. That's mainly because they don't take my (clean) driving history (almost 20 years...) in France into account and because I don't have a US driver license yet. Fine for me, that seems to be a general policy in US insurances. But they knew from the beginning that I was French, that I just arrived in the US with my family and that I had a French driver license... I've never tried to hide any of this to anyone... I even presented them documents from my previous insurance in France to prove my clean driving history (which they didn't even look at). I finally signed up for this new, more expensive policy a month ago and asked several times for confirmations that the price was going to remain stable, as quoted. Guess what... 2 weeks ago I received a new notice that the price increased by 30% without any explanation and that I should also pay almost $50 of fees with the following reasons (I let you evaluate the clarity): "Location Rating Factor Change. Policy rewritten". I asked for explanations and Lisa Allen herself told me that this was because I have a foreign driver license (again...). I had to send them a previous e-mail to demonstrate that they had quoted a price 30% lower and knew about my license when the quote was made... With this proof in hand they finally told me that it was a mistake from underwriting department and that they are going to change the rate back to what was originally quoted... Despite recognizing their error more than 2 weeks ago, they still bill my account with the wrong amount today... this is a never ending story... I have no experience with other US insurance companies but I just never imagined that such practices could exist in the insurance profession... read more

Not sure if it's this offices problem or just state farms problem in general but I have been a loyal customer for awhile now and have never missed a payment and recently my bill shot up because for some reason multi car discount was taken off (I was never given an explanation why it was either) and when I called to have it fixed they said it was added on and my bill would be normal when it came out of my account, well of course 2 weeks later when the automatic payment came out it was not fixed it was the larger amount so I call again and I'm told they will have to call the billing department and told me to call back, so I called back 3 hours later and no one had called the billing department and I was told again to call back and not given any reason as to why the billing department wasn't called already. I call back 3 hours later and someone was just then on hold with the billing department, I was told I could get called back after they were done, so another hour or so passes and no one has called so I call again and they tell me they spoke with the billing department and that I will have a credit on my next bill but it will still be a little higher because the discount for having a child in the car was taken off because they no longer offered it so okay great that's fine, well guess what get my bill this month and what do you know it had no change its still the original higher amount (no credit given, no change from multi car going back on) so I call and of course I'm told they don't do anything about it now, I will have to call back so here I am wasting another day dealing with this when I was assured a month ago it was all corrected. Also I don't know if anyone else has this issue but it seems like every month my bill fluctuates it's never the same... Weird right? I had Allstate before and that never happened it was always the same payment each month. The people I speak to there are nice, but they seem to tell you one thing will happen and then you call back and it hasn't happened and they can't seem to explain why. *Update: I called back on my lunch, like I was told to do and that it would all be resolved, all I'm told is that I now have to wait until next month to be credited what they over-charged last month and will now over-charge this month, still absolutely no explanation, just told to call back again later for that. Seriously WTH state farm this is ridiculous!!!!!! **Update again: called and thought it was almost all resolved (but again was supposed to get a call back and never did so I called myself) and I was told one minute by the office manager that I just needed to call back and make a manual payment of the new (lesser amount, now would be $128) on the 15th and then it would be back to normal next month and I would get my credit next month also (still frustrating that it would be a month later than I was originally told) well she transfers me to the owner Lisa herself and after talking with her for not even 2 minutes she tells me I don't deserve the discount actually (keep in mind I had been told multiple times by multiple people that I would get it again) and that I should just be happy it was put back on because I don't deserve it and that I would need to actually call on the 15th and pay the higher amount now and get no more credit, so this making me wonder what changed in the 10 minutes since I was just told by the office manager the complete opposite? I honestly feel like I was being punished and getting a discount taken away because I complained and inconvenienced her. Also she could not stop interrupting me, she put me on hold in the middle of me talking and left me on hold for long periods, she never apologized for her staff telling me wrong information and she ultimately hung up on me in the middle of me asking her to just explain why this all happened. Her staff is very polite but they just don't seem to know how to give correct information, but again they were all very polite. As for the owner Lisa Allen she was RUDE and not kind in anyway and really didn't seem to care about me as a customer and didn't care if I stayed with her insurance or not. Please save yourself the trouble and avoid this office!!!!! They seem great at first but as soon as you have an issue it all quickly changes. read more
