It is official. This is our spot. We have been to Lisa G's maybe 5 times, but this night was the first time we sat on the beautiful back upper deck, facing the dam. It was so romantic. Our server was very attentive. The food we order is always a delight - even if it does not look like it will be. For example, I ordered the chicken and collard greens special with wild greens and the dish was soupy. I normally do not like any kind of rice in soup situation, but babyyyyyyyy, this was delicious. I could not believe how good it was. The next day, I had the leftovers and it was still good. There were tiny changes to some other meal items, but we were able to omit them easily. We cannot wait to come again. I will check to see if my hubby took a pic of my meal. I only photographed our starters and the dessert ‍.

Lisa G's is a great spot for dinner or drinks and apps! We started with the wings that we were able to get the dry lemon pepper rub with the truffalo sauce and it was such a good combo. Great beers on tap, loved the fat tire. Our entrees of shrimp tacos and gnocchi with blackened chicken were delicious as well. Service was super quick and our waitress was really welcoming. Overall a fun lively restaurant!

Went here on a weekend trip. It's dog friendly and the brought a water bowl for our dog. I had a sliced beef sandwich with chips. I enjoyed it with the au jous sauce. Service was good the checked on us and food came out in a reasonable time. The have the enclosed patio decorated in a fall decor which is nice

Overall Lisa G's was a good experience, although would say it did not fully meet our expectations based on previous reviews. We got chips and salsa for appetizer, and I do have to say the salsa was delicious. I had the lemon Caesar salad with chicken, which I really enjoyed and was a big portion. My sister got the hot meat flatbread, and she said it was fine but nothing special. Our server checked in with us regularly. The ambiance was unremarkable. Very nice views right outside of the restaurant though.

The inside was quite nice but the outdoor area has a very pretty waterfall view. Service was friendly and quick. There is a good amount of parking nearby but also very walkable if staying in downtown area. Food portions were quite large and very tasty, would definitely return.

I was able to get a reservation for two at 9:30 on a Saturday night but since we were hungry, we decided to try our luck by going earlier to see if we could push up our reservation or snag a walk in table. We got there at 8 and the hostess said they'd be able to mark us as arrived and seat us within 30 minutes. We told them we were going to the bar to get a drink and wait. 40 minutes later, I checked in and they said they'd be able to seat us soon. An hour 15 later, 15 minutes before our actual reservation, I checked in and they looked like they were surprised to see our table ready and sat us. I think it ended up working to our disadvantage that we weren't waiting next to the hostess/at the bar because I think they forgot about us. Despite the initial issue, we sat down and had a lovely meal. We got the beef lettuce wraps. They were very good. For entrees, we ordered the fish and chips and the jerk short rib. As someone who can't handle spicy, it ended up being a little more spicy than the waiter described. The short rib was super fatty, but the meat that was there was so tender and cooked well. The fish and chips was a very big portion, a touch overcooked but super crispy. The drinks were super delicious. I got the Toni basil and asked for it without simple syrup, which was perfect!

Lisa G's is a little off the beaten path in Lake Placid and I'm glad we tried it. It's a larger place and was pretty busy, so I'd recommend reservations. It was a little bit loud but again, it was a busy Friday night. I got the burger which was fine, but their house sauce really was spot on. I even asked for another side of it for my fries. My dining partner tried some wings and a salad which were great; there's some unique options for wings which was fun! Overall, I'd definitely go back. There's plenty on the menu I'd want to try!

Cozy little restaurant. Made reservations online for dinner and decided to arrive early and grab a drink at the bar. Our table ended up being ready early so we were seated before our reservation. The server was very friendly and energetic. My husband ordered the fish and fries and I had the goat cheese and blueberry salad with grilled chicken. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. My husband really enjoyed how his fish was lightly battered and cooked. Overall exceed expectations and would definitely come back!

The food is good. The price is good. The service is good. But the most amazing thing? The view from the deck; be sure to get a reservation for outdoor seating if the weather is good!

We drove by this place a few times and every time thought, that place looks like it has some good grub! Well turns out we were wrong... It has some amazing grub! This spot is situated a block or so outside of the hustle and bustle of downtown on a waterfront. The inside was comfortable and low key, your typical pub/watering hole but the food bats above that weight class. We started with delicious lemony Greek wings that came with a whipped feta dipping sauce. Refreshing and divine on a hot day. I then went for the pork enchiladas that came topped with a mole sauce - I am a sucker for mole sauce - and it was delicious. Deep, zesty, chocolatey, everything you want in a mole sauce! We ended with the cinnamon raisin bread pudding which was delicious but begged for a scoop of ice cream rather than whipped cream. This will be a must stop every time we head to Lake Placid.

Great service and food. Split the wings, calamari, and the chicken parm. They were all amazing and I can't name an issue. Was quoted a hour wait on a Thursday with 2 people but got a table within 40

Fried goat cheese and blueberry salad.

Great service and food with options for picky eaters or adventurers palettes. It was a busy night with folks traveling in for the solar eclipse but you wouldn't know with how efficient the restaurant ran. I had the fried goat cheese and blueberry salad- very delicious though a little heavily dressed. They had a few dinner and dessert specials as well. If you're looking for a place away from the crowded main street, this is the place to go.

Nice place on the outskirts of town. Good food, very good bar. A pleasant deck overlooking the river and a dam.

Nothing special. Chicken parm was very average. Don't waste your time or money. There are plenty of better choices in town.

You can choose from bar seating, indoor tables, or outdoor spots with a perfect breeze. There's even a big street-side table that's ideal for bachelorette groups or larger parties. The whole space feels elevated, cozy, and a little magical. Drinks: The cocktail menu is insanely creative and the pours are generous. Their espresso martini is one of my all-time favorites... I stop in for one every single time I'm in Lake Placid. It's that good. Food: I think about this food at least once a week. The menu is built around shareable small plates, making it the perfect pre-dinner cocktail hour spot for your travel crew. Order a couple of drinks and a few bites while you take in the lake views before your dinner reservation. My personal must-orders: the charcuterie board and the mac and cheese. Unreal. Price: It's on the pricier side, but genuinely worth every penny. For the quality, the atmosphere, and those views? Not overpriced at all.

I have a bit of a story about Generations. Seven years ago,…read moremy family stopped in while visiting Lake Placid and, unfortunately, it was a pretty rough experience. After waiting over an hour for our food with no updates in sight, we finally left hungry and declared we'd never return. (We've all made dramatic vacation proclamations before!) When we got home, I wrote to the restaurant, and Natasha, the manager, personally responded with a sincere apology. She explained they had been incredibly short-staffed and invited us to come back if we were ever in Lake Placid again, promising a better experience. Well, seven years later, my sons found themselves in Lake Placid with friends and decided to give Generations another chance. They asked if Natasha was still there, and amazingly, she was! Not only that, but she remembered my email from all those years ago. This time, everything was wonderful. Great food, attentive service, a relaxing outdoor table, and happy young men!--which is review enough! To top it all off, when they asked for the check, they were told the meal was on the house. Natasha's kindness, grace, and commitment to making things right left a lasting impression. Thank you for turning a not-so-great memory into a great one. Cheers to Natasha and the team at Generations!

The beef on weck was more of a French dip sandwich (cheese on a beef/weck??). The buffalo chicken dip had bacon, which overpowered the dish, unnecessarily. Service was slow.
