Lisa's Kitchen continues to amaze. We eat there every week. Their tomato soup and bean soup are the best I've ever had in this area. Samantha was our server and she was on it! I ordered corned beef hash and she assured me it was real and not out of a can. The food took a little while to come out but Samantha kept my coffee full and hot! When the food arrived it was delicious! The potatoes were real and cooked with onions. Then grilled corned beef on top of that . My husband had chicken fried steak and eggs. Served with sausage gravy, it was very tasty! The place was packed but not too noisy. I found my new favorite breakfast spot! It is in the old Red Squirrel, and yes, they still have double deckers. Thanks, Samantha, for your excellent service and constant smile. Arrived at 11 on a Saturday morning. Very busy but was still able to be seated since we were a small group. I had coffee in my hand in 30 seconds. This makes me happy. Service was prompt and friendly. Answered all our questions about the expansive menu. Food was served quickly and hot. Amazing considering how busy they were with takeout orders as well. Ordered the Homestyle Hash which is their skillet. Asked for eggs over easy- they were perfect. Really good service, toast made fresh per order, and decent coffee. Only things that was a negative for me was the precooked bacon of about 15 lbs. I usually order bacon but passed on it today. read more

I've had breakfast/brunch several times at this cozy homey eatery, going all the way back to 2015. We used to live in the vicinity and it's not far from the church I attend. Food is very good. You get what you order and they are not averse to substitutions. Service is friendly. Seating is comfortable. The diner holds a good number of people, and be prepared for it to be packed full on a Saturday or Sunday. Those are not the times to go if you're in a rush, obviously. Prices are reasonable. Their take on corned beef hash is totally different from what you'd expect to get. It's more like shredded corned beef mixed up with home fries. You may or may not care for that; I don't like it. As mentioned the parking lot, which serves several storefronts, is difficult, although there are a handful of spaces actually reserved for Lisa's Kitchen so you may get lucky. I believe you can park in neighboring lots. This is my choice over a soulless chain restaurant, any day. If you're hungry for lunch or breakfast in Fairfield, get in here. read more

Let me share my experience at Lisa's Kitchen. I was in the area for a three-day conference and decided to check out brunch options on Yelp. Lisa's Kitchen, just 5 minutes from my hotel, caught my eye. Most of their customers are seniors, which speaks volumes about the service. The staff, from the lady at the register to my waitress, were older but incredibly kind, attentive, and respectful. The atmosphere inside felt cozy and family-friendly, more like a homely diner than a typical restaurant. It was quiet, and everyone seemed to be there to enjoy a good meal. Now, onto the food. I ordered the regular breakfast burrito with bacon and sausage, served with hash browns. It was delicious! What sets it apart? Probably the passion and dedication of the people behind it, who clearly love what they do. Special shoutout to Kelly for her outstanding hospitality. She made sure I had everything I needed, just like being at my favorite aunt's house. The food arrived promptly, taking only 5-8 minutes from order to table. I highly recommend this place, and if I ever find myself back in Cincinnati, I'll definitely be returning to Lisa's Kitchen. Oh by the way I spent less than $15 on the food. read more

After paying, I would suggest telling all the patrons and employees that you have paid. If not, they will accuse you of not paying and send customers out to chase you down in parking lot. Paid with cash. Not sure if the cashier was pocketing the cash. If not, at least she knows now how it feels to be accused of theft. Asked three times for Lisa to call me. No call. Patron for 30 years at this location when Lisa was a server. Never again. read more

Met our son here for lunch Sunday. I had the grilled ham and swiss, my wife had a chicken sandwich and I can't remember what my son had. Everything was excellent although they were so busy that they forgot to leave off the lettuce and tomato from my son's sandwich. I am worried that tips here are not great so I tried to tip well. Arrived to eat at our favorite diner...hadn't been here in a couple months and SO excited to eat there! It was a Sunday, just before 1:30pm... As soon as we walked in a server behind the counter abruptly asked us if we were just ordering sandwiches because they were closing at 2pm and running an hour out on tickets. We said we weren't sure what we wanted to order yet. She made it clear we should leave. They didn't want our business because they were slammed. So we left disappointed. It wasn't even 1:30 yet! SO disappointing to be turned away from your favorite diner. We are happy they are doing great business at 1:30pm on Sunday's, but dang...turning a party of two away when you don't close for over thirty minutes?!?! Decent place for an inexpensive, quick lunch. Today was the first time stopping in here. My daughter and I were in the area for some shopping and came in around lunchtime. I ordered the Gyro, + the added lettuce and feta, with fries. My daughter ordered the Grilled Chicken sandwich with fries. It was all pretty good. Definitely not the best gyro I've ever had but not the worst either. My daughter said her chicken sandwich was good. It's not a place I'd drive out of the way for or would crave but it would good, inexpensive diner food and fueled us for a day of shopping. read more

Visiting the north towns of Cincinnati, we needed breakfast before attending a sporting event. As a veteran Yelper, I found the reviews for Lisa's to be encouraging. We found the reality to be even better. A bit of worry that the 'after church crowd' would clog things up, we were seated fairly quickly and the ever efficient Missy took our order just as fast. Excellent French Toast for Tami and the layered (real) corned beef & home fries blended with onions & peppers topped with 2 over easy eggs for me. Whoa baby! Sign me up. Lisa's is a great diner, excellent food and wonderful staff! Their breakfast is so good I haven't really branched out to lunch options yet, but the omelettes are fluffy and fabulous, the eggs and bacon are always perfectly cooked, and they have both sourdough and dark rye toast available, which isn't all that common around here (usually rye is light rye, which is good, but their dark rye has so much more flavor). The place is really cute and always clean. However, what I really want to talk about is the fruit cups. They cut fresh fruit every day, and it's really fresh and delicious, and the variety is wonderful. Berries, grapes, pineapple, sometimes banana slices. Absolutely wonderful!! read more

My husband and I were searching for a diner with great food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere, and Lisa's truly checked all the boxes. The food was delicious! We tried the pancakes and the Cuban sandwich, both of which were fantastic. Our server, Amberly (sp?), was attentive and professional. I could rave about this great diner everyday! The service is wonderful, friendly and welcoming, go their enough they'll have your order memorized and ordered as soon as you sit down. Must trys are the corned beef hash and eggs with Home Fries! And don't forget a side of bacon!! Cozy diner feel, it is very popular so can be a little tight at times(Saturday and sunday mornings) but they make sure to keep your coffee hot while you wait. We also frequently get breakfast to go as well and have always had speedy order times and they have never missed anything from an order. 11/10 read more

I can't say enough good things about Lisa's. I love everything about the place. The people are awesome, Lisa is very personable and treats everyone like family. The place has a diner kinda vibe, and I love diners. Food is delicious and portion sizes are very generous. My business moved to the area in December of 2023 and Lisa's has become our go to places for a good meal, great service, and affordability. A must try if you're in the area. read more

This is the closest restaurant it is since they closed a lot of the Frisch's in town…read more I had a big boy, fries and soup and salad bar and my wife wanted a fish sandwich without the bun. The broccoli cheddar soup was delicious. The big boy had different meat on it. Not the dark brown as it being fried but a lighter brown like what a sausage would have. We were told they changed suppliers the fish was different as well. Not what they used to put on the sandwich. We'll have to come back to see if it's the same next time. We had the same server as we did at the old Frisch's we used to go to.

Food was okay. The service was horrible! Took forever to be seated because the hostess had her back…read moreturned, sitting in a booth. She was clearing a table, while seated. The waiter was quick to take our order & it came out pretty quickly. Didn't see waiter again until we had been finished eating for about 15 minutes. Won't go back.
