I did not participate in the bidding (unfortunately not have this $ level!) but I appreciate and value art and I think Andrea did an excellent job representing Christies and cheering the attendants to offer the higher prices possible for the photographs auctioned, that will help MOPA programs, both national and internationally. I brought them small jewelry components of silver which they spilled on the floor & didn't include in the weight. I brought them beautiful rings with precious stones and assistant in back room smashed the stones to only include the gold, not the value of the rings. Was much more honest when old owner Dennis was there.

I received the rug after paying nearly $500.00 for shipping and the rug was all broken and rotted in some areas with residue of adhesive in the back of he rug. I contacted the person in charge and what I got was that condition reports are given as a curtesy only and they assume no responsibility for inaccurate type, condition or wrong size. I bought another runner which was listed at 18' long and it was 13' when I received it. They wouldn't consider any allowance to compensate for the highly damaged goods or offer any allowance to ship it back to them. Very unfair and unprofessional. I was able to upload only two pictures but there are at least 25 spots that shows damage.

I've been trying to get a reply from them since November of last year. To date, 12 Feb 2026, not a word. Calling over to the LA office once again this morning, the phones were not answered, and it leaves nothing other than recorded from some unknown woman telling to send evaluations to their email address, which again, had gone unanswered. I think aside from their promotions on Antiques Roadshow from the past, it's like dealing with amateur hour over there. I'm dealing with a large estate that has a lot of larger and far more valuable items but I figured I would give them a try on this one Qing dynasty teapot. I guess I will just stick with the larger auction houses and have more established bidders that will be willing to pay more. Even if the commission is higher. All I have to say, if you deal with them, is good luck! You're going to need it.

My wife and I recently sold our Condo in LA, but with one stipulation, we had to close within 30 days, which meant a fast and efficient long distance exit. We were not remaining in the LA area, thus we were interested in selling virtually everything rather than moving 7 years worth of contents or storing the contents due to storage and long distance moving costs. Thus, we quickly considered various optimal options and were so incredibly pleased with our selection, engagement and the execution of AESofLA. From the very first contact with owners, Holly and Kelly, professionalism, an attitude we have done this many times before and we will handle your Estate Sale smoothly exuded. This is a firm that loves what they are doing (important), has executed many large and high priced estate sales (experienced), and they bring the required talent needed to handle the many facets of this complex business (resources) to pull off a successful outcome. The firm did a beautiful job in ticketing, fair market pricing every item in the sale, staged our contents for best selling results, had 6 employees onsite to handle the sales flow and client flow, had a guard on premise at all times, had a moving company available for items to large to move, all sold items went through a "point of sale" register for accurate accounting of all pieces sold, assistance in moving heavy items to cars/vans was available, and even an after the event cleaning crew (which we took advantage of and they did a great job) came in and made the place look like the Estate Sale never took place. AESofLA has Estate Sales down to a science (pros) , they are a delight to work with (fun), and make a stressful time of life (moving out) roll by like it is no big deal. Now you are saying this is "too good to be true", right? Well the only thing I would mention is you have to be realistic about is what another party is wiling to pay for your "stuff". While we may of thought we had the best decorated and furnished condo in Brentwood......not all of America would agree. While our pride and what we paid retail comes into play, we and you need to be realistic about what somebody else would pay for your like new "stuff". With that said, some items sold for more than we thought possible and a number of items went for far less, but if your Primary Goal is to liquidate, this is a fair, equitable, streamlined method to move on. In closing, at our recent 2-day Estate Sale Event, AESofLA sold, handled and moved 272 separate individual items out for an approximate 90% sell through and this allowed us to move as needed and to execute a smooth long distance departure on time.....which was the OBJECTIVE.
