This time someone else answered on the second attempt. After once again explaining my food order, she informed me that they were NOT doing food deliveries today, (despite their website claiming otherwise) but they would accept a collection. I enquired as to how long that would take, upon which I was asked to 'hold on'. After a five minute wait she told me that I could now make my food order, but it it would be 90 minutes before I could collect! Bearing in mind that by this point 30 minutes had expired since my initial phone call, I told them not to bother. A TWO hour wait is simply unacceptable for a food collection order. In the past I stupidly thought this was the only one and bought a lot of food then walked the long distance home only to have the food go soft and un freeze on me. This branch has some electrical items such as fridge freezers and microwaves. There's generally more space to be had which means lots of freezer cabinets and shelving above with more deals. The food is generally easy to bake and ranges from ready meals to party favous. NCP car park is very close or there's also a set down point just passed the bus station.

They also sell fresh produce such as milk, cheese and meat, biscuits, crisps, and tinned food, alcohol and soft drinks. They only thing about this is the old lift that i had to use as a small child is still going but that scares me still as it seems soo old. I have brought items from there before and had it delivered to me which saves me soo much hasstle. So I totally dig the name of this sandwich chain, but believe they've completely missed out on matching the name with the product--because I've never seen any sliced bread on their counters. In a way, it's deceptive marketing, but I digress. Most of the sandwiches you'll see displayed behind the glass are made with baguettes, exceptions being the morning bacon rolls. My usual go-to is the old reliable Ham & Cheese Baguette, but I have had others like the Chicken Salad & Bacon and a surprisingly delightful Ham Benedict Baguette which includes slices of boiled egg in lieu of fried or poached eggs. The composition of the latter makes for a less messy moving breakfast when you're commuting in business attire. Speaking of mess control, it's also clever that they've labelled their sandwich wrappers as "Free Crumb Catchers" because you will surely need that bag to collect what would otherwise fall into your lap as you crunch your way through its contents. You'll probably find the Upper Crust takeaway eatery at nearly every medium to large rail station in England. This particular one is on the right hand side once you enter the main station or on the left hand side upon exiting the platform barriers. While a few of their shops have served subpar sandwiches e.g. stale bread, the Norwich one has rarely let me down unless sold out.
