I went to this store during a vacation trip a few years ago...it has been a very good experience as this store is not like the others...If you don't know, you won't stop and keep on driving without seeing it's a records store...The boss was so friendly and made me very good prices for the records I bought.. There are so many cool things here!! The owner is super nice, they have TONS of vinyl in like any genera you could think of (not a ton of newer stuff), cds, posters, movies, etc. The prices of everything are super reasonable! If you're in the area I would definitely check it out! read more

Absolutely amazing store for records of the big names and the nobody's as well as cds and posters and everything in between.

I travel a ton for work so I've been to a good many record shops around the US and Little Big Store is my favorite by far! They have a large assortment of genres (a huge Elvis selection), vintage playboys, magazines, trinkets, posters, and did I mention they have racks of sale records for under $5? Because they do and I have never bought a record from the sale area that was scratched - always in good condition. They had a Cream record I've been looking for for around 3 years and I almost came to tears when I saw it. My vinyl collection is going strong thanks to Little Big Store! read more

I've been going to the different incarnations of the Little Big Store since I was 15 in 1985. They've been in the old Railroad Depot (circa 1889) in Raymond, down from Hinds for a good long time now, and its their best & coolest location ever. What can you say, take your Claratin (dusty) & hit what is perhaps the largest vinyl record store on earth today. DJ's come from all over. Browse the colored vinyl, that old E.T. picture disc, those old school hippie posters, collectables, 8-tracks, etc... They have a sound effects section of vinyl for christ's sake. Buy a Kiss sweat band, a leather wallet on a chain, all that. I grew up watching the owners become grown ups. It's a Jackson institution. It's a great browsing experience. read more

The Little Big Store is a must visit for the used vinyl collector. Located in the former train depot in Raymond, MS there are well stocked bins of every genre of music you can imagine. All alphabetized and categorized nicely and easy to navigate. I departed with a nice stack of records that have been on my want list for a while. I look forward to my next trip to this area, as I will surely make time for another buying spree. read more

I don't live in Mississippi anymore, but I grew up there and the Little Big Store was the last place I ever went before I moved (I was buying posters for my new abode). The prices on used CDs and vinyl are more than fair, and if you love your turntable as much as I do then you must check out there treasure trove of used vinyl records. It certainly beats the tremendously overpriced collections I have found in other big cities. IT is a little cramped but the selection more than makes up for the lack of space. The bottom line is this -- if you love music the LIttle Big Store is a must see, and quite possibly the best thing in Hinds County Mississippi! read more
