We have had many enjoyable meals at Little Brick. Sadly since Covid up till now the service and food has declined so much! You order and pay first then scramble to find a table:( Front end are very casual, inattentive more interested in chatting with each other ... back to the breakfast a simple bacon, two eggs, bread, roasted potatoes. Everything on the plate was sloppily arranged and greasy! No S&P, no ketchup, no butter! Common low grade ketchup! I had to get up leave my meal as there is only one server who is also apparently the cook as well. Went to the front to pick up everything myself while my food getting cold! The hefty price of $17 for what? Bad service, sloppy presentation, no condiments, greasy bacon with almost no protein!! No thank you :(

First impression is parking is a bit tough as it is in a neighborhood and no real designated parking lot. So I had to street park which of course isn't cleared the best. Seating is somewhat limited but looks like they have some additional seating outside but yeah going here in January it's a bit cold even if you're under a bit of cover. As well multiple tables were not wiped down when we got down but it is self seating so might have just turned over. Atmosphere is quite lovely and very homey but it is a bit busy and noisy depending on where you sit. We got the breakfast sandwich with no additions and the brickyard. Breakfast sandwich, very well done but I am very much meat eater and there was no meat unfortunately which you can pay a bit more to have some but I decided not this time. Overall though the bun and sauce was super well done! The brickyard sandwich inside were wonderful but the bun overshadowed it as it was so thick and dry that by the time I got to the sauce and apples and meat I was overwhelmed by the amount of bread in my mouth.

One of the cutest little restaurant cafés I have ever seen. The atmosphere is absolutely amazing, the majority of the seating is outside but they've made it super cosy out on their patio. There were also a few tables inside as well. I've been trying to find a breakfast burrito for a while and I finally found a delicious one here. It's a little pricey but you can tell they use quality ingredients in their food. That being said the burrito was $15 and my wife and I were able to split it and it was enough food for the two of us with our coffee of course. Little Brick is a must try if you are visiting or live in YEG.

What a cool little spot in Edmonton's beautiful river valley. Great outdoor space with lots of picnic tables and smaller 2 seat bistro tables. Food was excellent...we had the turkey with Brie sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, and grilled pineapple salad...everything was fresh, original and creative, and delicious! Definitely worth checking out.

Boooo!!! How have I bi-passed this Edmonton gem ? We've popped into Little Brick 3 times in the past few months. It has a 'best of Edmonton' vibe, you'll want your friends/family to experience over and over. This Cafe has a general store w/ local goods, art and produce (Seasonal) The menu is simple and beautifully executed, be sure to order their lavender rice pudding (i'm hoping it was lavender) ha! Either way, get it, YUM ! Menu items are reasonably priced $8-$16 Drink items are reasonably priced $3-up If you find out why their lattes, and mocha are $6.50, be sure to send me a message and let me know, haha !! My guess, locally sourced chocolate and caramel (??) I bet it's fabulous, I'll have to splurge and report back. Overall, three great experiences!!

Located in the quiet residential neighbourhood of Riverdale, on the shores of Edmonton's River Valley, Little Brick is a lovely coffee shop / cafe, restaurant and general store. YEG Coffee Club is behind this lovely cafe, which people can be member of. I've had the opportunity to go there to get a bag of coffee (YEG Coffee Club) and a cup of Joe to go. It will eventually be a spot where I'd love to eat and drink coffee, as it is a very nice spot - it has space inside but also outside to eat and drink. In cold times, there are heat lanterns and fires going, which has offers a very cool and nice atmosphere to enjoy food and drinks. Little Brick was originally built in 1903 and belonged to J. B. Little. It was also the original location of J.B. Little Brickyard. The Little family lived there until the early 2000s. Before the current owner opened the coffee shop and store, it was apparently in bad shape, due to bad tenants. But as I have seen, and whoever goes and gone there, the building and yard are very clean and well maintained. Little Brick's general store include items such as coffee bean bags and cups, kitchen ware, book, gift kits and crafty items. Food and drinks menus are very diverse!! Food range from soups and sandwiches to baked goods and stews and salads. And of course there are plenty of hot beverages for all tastes: coffees, teas and hot chocolates. Cold drinks include draught and canned beers, as well as wines. In conclusion, although Little Brick is off the beaten path, it is the perfect spot to enjoy food and drink (hot in winter, cold in summer), and meet friends or family, while being careful with distancing and all !!

What a gem!! I'm so happy that I found this place! It's amazing. The building is beautiful and it's funny that I have driven by so many times but I could never guess there is a business there! It's a beautiful brick house and it has a very nice atmosphere! I loved the vibe and it kinda reminded me of some European coffee shops. The customer service was great! The quality of the food was really good and so many things for me to explore! I'm lucky that it's very close to our apartment and we can go there for more expeditions! :) I definitely recommend this place!

The atmosphere, the food, the drinks, it's all lovely! Highly recommend this place for brunch, lunch, cofffee or a tasty mulled wine after a brisk fall walk. The history of this place plus the delicious treats it produces make it a wonderful place to visit!

If there's one thing I love, it's a great sandwich. Not all sandwiches are created equal - some are the kind of sandwiches you need to tell everyone about. The breakfast sandwich at Little Brick is one such sandwich. Thick bacon (and I mean THICK) with an egg, garlic sauce, some garden goodness and a soft, delicious bun. I also recommend getting it with the potatoes on the side - if you're extra hungry.

Eggs Benni were wonderful. One with potatoes and one with thick bacon. Both excellent. Nice courtyard and s.all indoor seating area. Only the coffee was not to my taste. Guess expresso beans have warped my taste

Little Brick is hidden in the quiet, calm neighbourhood of Riverdale. You wouldn't expect such a quaint cafe and general store to be situated here but it makes sense once you see it. Part of Nate Box's empire (District Coffee Co., Burrow and Elm Cafe), Little Brick has a very chill, relaxed vibe to it. The outdoor patio looked awesome! Too bad it was downpouring by the time we arrived. My two buds, J and E, were trying to tough it out outside but ended up moving inside to the living room area. Couple comfy couches and tables to sit at. Even though the menu is short and sweet, it still took us/me awhile to decide. Mostly just breakfast and lunch options. You have to go up to order but they do bring the food to your table. It was a bit annoying that they were already out of some dishes that we wanted and that one of the girls didn't put in our fourth order. By the time we had got our food and realized, it was too late to order more food as they close their kitchen at 3:00pm sharp. I talked with Bbops and he had the same issue. Except he was there early, around 9:00am on a weekend. They were already out of certain dishes. We came late afternoon (1:30pm) on a Sunday, which is more understandable but honestly, they shouldn't be running out items like that. It's not like their menu is that big to begin with. - Blueberry scone ($3.00) - we were starving so grabbed a baked good to share. The scone tasted fresh and had a nice flaky texture to it. - Porchetta sandwich ($13.00) - house roasted pork with rhubarb slaw and salsa verde. The salsa verde was a nice twist on your usual porchetta sandwich. Tasty but damn, $13.00 for a sandwich this size? Almost laughable. - Four Whistle farm duck confit salad ($15.00) - Grainworks wild rice, sour cherries, fennel and honey mustard vinaigrette. No complaints with the salad. Decent amount of duck and I liked the different tones you'd get with each bite. Sour cherries and fennel are a surprisingly nice combination. - House made pasta ($15.00) - this changes daily and for ours, it was a fettuccine pasta in a butter garlic sauce with clams. Butter garlic sauce was bomb. Again, tasty but everything skews to the small side of things. The food here is good but expect to pay a premium for small portion sizes. I could easily have eating another dish or two so keep that in mind here. Thinking it's best for coffee and a snack rather than a sit down meal. Given that, I'd come back specifically to hang in the backyard patio.

I don't think this place lives up to the hype. This is going to be a short review with a great picture. I think the staff here are incredibly pretentious and not aware of their surroundings. They could careless if there's a backlog of customers waiting at the front door. There's no management. Although, there's something to be said about the kitchen staff. The food was well presented and the were at least smiling. Anyways. 2 stars also, because i think it's on the pricey end for what you receive.

Eggs benedict and hashbrowns, not very flavorful.

Currently seasonal items are 60-70% off (some seriously cute Xmas décor and ornaments) and the remainder of the store is 20-30% off. They have really cute jewellery and unique items for special gifts. I really like their line of moon necklaces/bracelets where you pick the phase of the moon on a special date (birth, death, wedding, etc.) and can wear it as jewellery. I also like their sparkly Swarovski crystal bracelets, earrings, and necklaces. Some stuff here for sure can be found elsewhere or online for less but that's not the point of a boutique store. It's getting to go somewhere and browse through various collections to find the perfect gift for someone special. If you're a fan of s'well bottles, they still have a fairly good collection of unique ones and at 20% off you're paying a fair price for the designer s'wells. (Note you can get plain jane ones at Costco for $30) but the ones here are GORGEOUS and make me smile. Then there are the baby gifts, the seasonal decor for your own abode, a wall of tempting teas and some really unique jewelry. And then the pies de resistance... they have the most fabulous collection of gift bags, gift boxes and paper so that when you find that perfect present you can also wrap it up without having to go to another store! Love it!! Although, I do not remember seeing ribbon or cards, I could be wrong, or maybe that's just asking for the moon. Pro Tip: Make sure to go into the basement! Often you go into a store like this and assume that down the steps is just a small smattering of a few other things. But in this case the basement is the majority of the shop. It is at least 3x larger then the upstairs portion. Happy shopping!

There are many items that your family and friends will most likely get a kick out of. Most of it is for the female population though (as like most stores). The Plaid Giraffe carries Nine & Co. bags from Nine West, unique scarves, jewelry (wow, do they have jewelry), and other neat gift items. As I made my way through the store recently, one guy was browsing as well and, while his girlfriend paid for her brand new bag at the counter, he was picking up one item after another and saying "How sweet is this?!?" again and again. I have to admit, it was pretty amusing. But then, so is their selection. Among their items that will make you laugh and gasp are barbed wire toilet paper (TP with a barbed wire design on it) and -- get this -- a hair-coloring kit specifically for your "hair down there". I'm dead serious! I had never seen anything like it before. I mean, who does that? Not that I'm judging or anything ... hey, it's something new! But the colors available were electric blue, pink, and orange. Whoa, now there's somethin' freaky going on there! My favorite thing about the Plaid Giraffe though, is their jewelry, which is pretty much the inner half of the shop. They have it all color-coded, so there are your blues, then purples, and black and whites, and so on. Some of it is a little pricey, but it depends on what materials it has, right? I find that most of their earrings start at $9.99 and go up from there. They've also got a wide selection of those neat purse-hanger things that have been popping up everywhere. The idea is that you basically hang part of it on the edge of a table, and it has a hook that your bag can hang from. Your bag won't be on the floor and get dirty, and has its own place. The Plaid Giraffe also carries items that make great traveler gifts, if you are shopping for a globe-trotter. They have typical items like travel pillows, but with and fun designs, so they're not as boring. Anyway, that's just a peek at what they have in store. I found some great earrings that I've been looking for at some good prices; one pair was $9.99 and the other pair (a pair of square ones; I actually don't own square shaped earrings!) for $11.99. They have a lot of really nice but not too expensive looking jewelry. Their store is really nice and net with lots of open areas so you can actually breath.
