There is a reason Little Cambodia is on my speed dial. So glad to have a authentic Cambodian restaurant in this town.

We got hungry crossing the Colorado Mountains and had to do a potty break (as one does when…read moreroad-tripping!) My son searched Yelp reviews and found this gem. Who woulda thought it? Just wow! Ignore the decor, and the lack of cars in the parking lot. (lol) the food was effin amazeballs! It's what you'd expect from a hole-in-a-wall Thai place in the mountains. So yummy. My son eats a lot (and I mean a lot) of Thai food in the Los Angelas/Long Beach/Fullerton areas. We ordered our favorites and was so not disappointed. Seriously, he kept making sounds of food ecstasy (I'd tell him to shuSh, but we were the only ones in the restaurant.) Ü If you're passing through, or lucky enough to be a local, go here. Really.

It's right off the highway and doesn't look like much from the outside. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the owner. We sat down and took a few minutes to look at the menu. There isn't too many Thai restaurants we've come across in Colorado (probably not going to the right area) so we were really excited to see what they offered. We tried their pad Thai, red and green curry, Tom kha soup, Thai tea and coffee. As many people have mentioned, the spice is served on the side. I appreciated it though since our littles don't do well with heat so it was a nice option to have. Everything tasted great, not too oily at all. It may not be the best Thai food I've ever had, but it definitely hit the spot. I recommend this if you're craving for good Thai food around that area

My friends and I decided to eat lunch at Crested Butte before we decided to go for a hike & explore…read morethe area. We landed on Thai Chili 78. When we first entered, it was quite empty. There was literally no wait to go in. Later, some groups started coming in. In general, the owner was very friendly and seemed glad that we stopped by. It was sort of chilly outside, so I decided to opt for a MASSAMAN CURRY. It was delicious! Upon first sip, the curry tasted authentic like the other Thai spots around NY, so I was impressed. It was a solid dish. It had a decent amount of chicken, potatoes (which were chunky & had crinkled patterns on them - quite unique texture). Paired with the rice, I was quite full & very satisfied. The portions are excellent! The price is fair. I would recommend this Thai spot as a pretty authentic tasting spot!

I hit this spot on a Friday evening, and the space is actually legit--plenty of room to move around so you aren't cramped up while you're trying to wind down from the day. I started with the chicken Tom Kha, which was exactly what I needed to cut through the cold. For the main, the beef Pad See Ew held its own. The flavors were balanced and the beef was cooked right. I've had my fair share of Thai food across different cities, so while I wouldn't call this the absolute greatest of all time, it's definitely high-quality for a mountain town. It's good food, a relaxed atmosphere, and a much better move than whatever quick-service options are at the base. If you want a meal that actually matches the energy of a good day on the slopes, check them out. It's a smooth, reliable four stars.
