We were driving from Beaumaris to Birregurra, and decided that Little Creatures Brewery in Geelong would be the perfect place to stop. It's easy enough to find, and there's a large carpark on site. It was a little bit of a walk to the restaurant/dining space but it's all clearly marked. Inside, it's a large beer hall space with plenty of seating, a takeaway beer/cider area and merchandise. We took a seat and ordered a selection of food - the mozzarella/tomato salad and fried chicken were the highlights. Don't get their house made cola, it's hideous. Service was friendly and casual, and we got some beers & cider to takeaway with us. We had a great time here and I'd definitely go back when I'm in Geelong next. read more

YES! I am struggling to contain my excitement at the presence of Little Creatures in Geelong without using all shouty CAPS! But so far, so good. Let's see how we go... Unless you've been living under a rock you will have tried or at the very least know about Little Creatures - the Perth-born, Melbourne-raised beer and brewery. Well, it's now Geelong's hotspot for Saturday nights, Sunday sessions and everything in between. The layout is HUGE, bigger than the one currently living on Brunswick Street, with both an indoor and outdoor section available and a ginormous carpark - you'll always be able to find a spot. There are booths, high tables and very long tables available for seating. There are also great spots for kids with a number of sandpits around for the kids to play around in while the parents knock back a pint. The menu is yum pub grub - fresh pizzas, charcuterie boards and cheeses but let's face it, beer is the standout here and the bar is BUSY. You WILL have to wait for a drink, but it will be worth it. I always go for a classic Little Creatures Pale Ale however my partner in beer-crime recently went for a beer special called the Sweet Tart - it tasted just like you imagine. This is a MUST if you live in or are visiting Geelong. It's just so good. read more

I really like the energy of Little Creatures Brewery in Fitzroy. Happily the new Geelong edition doesnt disappoint either. A sprawling, bustling warehouse in which to find yourself a prime position to settle in and taste your way through the Little Creatures beer menu. My favourite is the Little Creatures Pilsner. Perfect for a late Summer's Sunday session (or in any season really). The thrice cooked fries are a great savoury accompaniment too. On the weekend you might discover a small market within the allyways leading to the entrance of the brewery. A nice touch which gives Little Creatures a local and autheentic feel. Plenty of outdoors is seating available too. read more

Rounding the corner of the red brick industrial buildings, you are immediately greeted with a piano being cheerfully played from inside a shipping container, knit bombed bike racks, and a plethora of rainbow Coloured umbrellas soaking up the sun. Wander inside and you see that little creatures has managed to transform a giant empty space into a giant empty space that ROCKS (and has beer!!) We sampled a number of things on the menu and loved them all- our favorite however was the special single batch beer they were serving (the ceasior?) DELICIOUS! All in all, a really cool place with a cool vibe, perfect for kicking back on a Sunny avvo with friends for a couple of drinks and a few good eats. Check it out! read more

Brilliant place to come and have lunch in the sun! Staff are all happy and a great help if you're a beer novice. Pork sliders were great but a little pricy for my liking. The beer, well what can I say, little creatures really put up some great brews! Atmosphere is perfect for some casual drinks with mates. And be sure to stick around for the brewery tours at 3pm. read more

Looking for something to do in Geelong whilst in town for the Avalon airshow and we found this boutique brewery, also because we're familiar with the beer. Although we didn't have much time to attend one of the 1hr tours through the Little Creatures brewery, we were able to do a self guided walk through the White Rabbit barrel hall next door. Which was informative, you could try their beer options afterwards. We did manage to have a quick late lunch at the Little Creatures canteen/bar. It's very airy, open spaced, clean, slightly indie, outdoorsy-inside decor. There is also alfresco dining so you can eat amongst the many greenery growing asunder including a sand pit for little kiddies to make a mess in. The food was tapas like and very enjoyable. We had the avocado dip & corn chips, tomato/basil/buffalo mozzarella pizza and beetroot salad with avocado, dhukka, quinoa & mint. Plus fresh organic orange juice. Of course being a brewery, they are stocked up on beers to the brink, drink to your livers delight. All in all an easy way to spend afew pleasant hours in Geelong. read more

On Saturday, I went to the Little Creatures Brewery in Geelong. There, I had beer, sausage, and muffins, and the experience was fantastic. Let's kick this off with... THE GOOD: The beer and the food. I had the Rye Rabbit, and it was served ice-cold with a full head in a tall glass. What more could you ask for in a beer, really? I'm not one to comment on the 'fruity undertones' or the 'hint of creamy malt' that certain other beer aficionados love to regale us about, but I will say this: It tasted like good, honest beer. 'Nuff said, really. For food, I had a bratwurst in a bun with caramelized onions and gruyere cheese. It was heaven in a bun. Honestly, do yourself a favour and try a German sausage from these guys - you won't be disappointed. (Unless you're vegetarian, then you may be slightly disappointed). THE BAD: Corn chips with avocado dip. Had enough garlic and onion to be classified as a weapon of mass destruction. I'm surprised George Dubya didn't try and freedom me out of my entree. But in all honesty, while I was able to stomach it, it certainly wasn't a pleasant meal to eat. THE UGLY: The chocolate and mixed berry muffin. It looked like a bomb had hit it. It also weighed roughly half a kilo. But still, delicious! All in all, I recommend the Little Creatures Brewery for anyone, couples, families, pensioners, for lunch. Just steer clear of the avocado dip if you want to have friends by the end of the day. read more

What a perfect spot to spend a sunny Sunday arvo! Let's be real, I was a bit skeptical heading down to Geelong for a friend's birthday drinks. Melbourne has so much to offer and I can't say I'd ever spent much time in Geelong, and I certainly hadn't enjoyed a fantastic meal there since the pancake parlour as a ten year old. But this place is ~actually~ worth driving down to G-town for! The Brewery is a beautiful site, HUGE buildings and impressive atmosphere. The outdoor laneway style beer garden area is beautiful, lots of colourful umbrellas, an array of table sizes and even a cute sandpit for the kiddies to frolick in. The design of the place in general actually is quite stunning. After walking through the outdoor area and stepping into the main dining hall, you can't help but be a little overwhelmed by the size of the place! A gazillion more tables, and a huge bar that offers fast and efficient food/drink service. Now, onto the good stuff. BEER! You can't go wrong with the collection of offerings on tap here. Pale Ale, IPA, White Rabbit, Pipsqueak cider and some random wines (but really, you can't drink wine at a brewery.) Everything I drank was absolutely beautiful. Drinks range in price between tiny sized ($4ish), pot sized ($5-$6ish) and pint sized ($9-$10ish). Went down a treat! Very fun trying to get through the menu, and being able to order the tiny size helped with that. So we went along to this little shindig for the drinks, but the food was fantastic too! Pizzas look awesome, though I had the prawn tortillas which were divine. You can't go wrong with avo dishes these days. Frites were also highly yummy and great to share. This place doesn't take bookings and can get crazy busy, especially on the weekends when it's so family friendly, but don't let that deter you from heading down for a super relaxed and satisfying outing! read more

From what I have noticed in my first few days in Aus, is that it is very rare to have good service. This place has great service, an interesting selection of amazing tasting pizzas and beers that are fab. We came here on out way to Lorne, worth the drive from Melb. read more

Really cool venue - we had the 4 ponies for $15, great value when you want to taste several delicious beers but don't want to be too drunk to enjoy them. The menu looks good, we only had a snack (corn chips and guac) but perved on others food and the pizzas and chips, especially, look yum. The service was great too - the staff seemed really happy to be there and were very nice. Ended up taking a mixed 6 pack with us to enjoy later. It's also got a sandpit outside for kids to enjoy while parents are enjoying a tasting. read more

The Little Creatures beers we drank in local bars around Melbourne were pretty run-of-the-mill, but the brewery had some great stuff that we didn't see anywhere else. We got a flight and would have stayed longer for a second round if we hadn't been driving. It's a really cool atmosphere...in an old warehouse, with a coffee shop and a restaurant by the taproom side. They sell a handful of merchandise. There's an outside courtyard area with bicycles for borrowing, a sandbox for the kids, and several picnic tables. The bartender was friendly and we enjoyed talking to him about the craft beer scene in Australia and the US. For what it's worth, given our unrefined taste in coffee, the lattes we got there were the best we had while in Australia. read more

Recommended for late lunch. Ever been hungry at 2:30 and try to find a lunch spot that's open? Little Creatures fits the bill. I hear that this place is packed on the weekend but I've never had to wait long for my weekday arvo visits. I'm not much of a beer drinker as it aggravates my heartburn but the friendly bartender gave me a taste of Pipsqeek cider. I had it over ice and it was refreshing and tasted very nice. I usually go for the lamb ribs and chips- sometimes for the pizza. Great spot to take the kids just after school pick-up. read more
