WARNING to Parents: Toddler Left Naked for 45+ Minutes Over Potty Training Policy…read more I'm posting this to inform other parents about what happened to my 2-year-old daughter while she was enrolled here. She is not fully potty trained by their standards. One day, she had an accident, and the staff left her completely undressed in the bathroom for 45+ minutes. They told me they would not help her get dressed unless I either came in person to do it myself or paid additional money. When I arrived, she was still unclothed. There was no medical or disciplinary reason -- just a policy they enforced tied to toileting status and payment. Refusing to assist a toddler with basic care needs, especially hygiene and clothing, is unacceptable. At this age, children rely entirely on adults to meet their needs, and any facility working with toddlers should be equipped to handle toileting accidents in a safe and respectful way. If you're considering this school, I strongly recommend asking specific questions about how they handle toileting, accidents, and what support they actually provide when a child needs help. This experience was extremely disappointing and raises serious concerns about their practices.

From day one, Ms. Veronica (the owner), along with Maddie, Ms. Rayen, Ms. Anna,Ms. Johnson,Ms. Evelyn and the rest of the staff and aides, have been amazing. My son needed a little extra attention adjusting to a new routine, and they showed him and me incredible patience and care. They kept in touch, sent updates and photos, and made sure I felt confident leaving him in their hands. Some of the negative reviews I've seen seem to come from parents expecting constant personal attention. I get it as parents, we worry and want to talk to teachers often. I've had moments where I didn't fully understand certain rules at first either. But rules are rules, and policies are policies they're in place to keep children safe, comply with laws, and keep the daycare running smoothly. For example, I've seen complaints about potty training policies. While I understand why a parent might be upset, as a business owner Ms. Veronica has to follow regulations and safety protocols. If a child isn't fully potty trained, there are certain things aides can and can't do, and extra care sometimes comes with extra costs. It's not that they don't care they care deeply but they also have to meet licensing standards and protect the children and staff. Over time, I've come to truly appreciate their professionalism. Not only is Small Wonder a safe, loving environment, but it's also an educational one. My son has learned his numbers, months, and made huge strides in social skills. The program is both play based and school-focused, giving the kids the best of both worlds. If you're looking for a small, private, more intimate daycare where children are loved, taught, and cared for in a professional and patient way, I highly recommend Small Wonder Daycare. They've made a real difference for my son, and I'm grateful to have found them. If you are looking for a day care make a decision based off your own experience and not what one disappointment from a parent says. Understand it's a business as well as a day care facility. There are cameras in the facility as well. I'm sure parents can ask to see that as well, if ever needed. Not everyone is going to be happy and trust me I was one of the more difficult parents and small wonders was patient and kind. I seen another review stating that Miss Veronica treats you and your children different if you are not of a specific race, color, ethnic background or doesn't reach her family dynamic qualifications. That's not true because I am bi-racial, (African American and Latina), and I've never felt myself or my child has ever been discriminated against . But to each its own! I think this facility is great ! I have attached pictures to back up my review . I highly recommend this facility!!

Absolutely love Little explorers! I only have one child, and finding a place I can trust is critical as a parent. I knew that finding a place to take of my son to wasn't going to be easy. I searched up reviews on a couple other pre-schools and visited some sites. But the moment I met Ashley and her staff, saw the class room, I knew this place was special! Ashley was so informative and gave insights on how much love and care goes into this place. It's not just school or daycare, but another place to call home for my son. I felt confident he was in the right environment. Manners, kindness, having fun while learning, these were key points to our decision to keep my son here. They have little events for the kids throughout the year that help engage them in wanting to be there. My son being the only child in the family has been able to learn social skills and sharing. If you're looking for a trust worthy place, that cares and takes care of your little ones that way you want them to, this is definitely a great place to enroll your child. We love this school we waited to place our son here because there were no other schools in the AV with this type of curriculum, safety, cleanliness, and energy! We come from la & corona and we understand comfort and quality. Little Explorers is the place all of the staff including the owner is so sweet. My son don't play about energy and he LOVES MRS ASHLEY LIKE FAMILY! She is the best the way she loves the kids is so amazing we love her ourselves. She will take the time to make sure everyone in her care & school feels comfortable she will do wtv it takes for your little one to feel comfortable & safe! Fantastic Preschool with Caring Teachers! We absolutely love this preschool! The teachers are incredible--so patient, kind, and dedicated to making learning fun for the children. They create a warm and nurturing environment where kids feel safe and excited to explore. The activities are both educational and engaging, helping with early development in a creative and playful way. Our girls have grown so much in confidence, social skills, and early academics since starting here. When I first contacted Ashley (Owner), I had already enrolled and unenrolled my daughter in 3 daycares by the time she was 2 1/2. Ashley was quick to respond, set up a tour, and to provide all the resources and rights we have as parents. My daughter adjusted extremely well and her behavior balanced out positively shortly after adjusting to the new daycare, especially in comparison to how she responded to the previous daycares. My daughter has a sense of belonging here and feels loved, which she expresses to me in her own words. Children need people who genuinely love children and want to be a positive role model in their lives, and this is exactly the type of atmosphere you can expect at Little Explorers. A Wonderful Preschool Experience! This preschool has been an amazing experience for our family! The teachers are absolutely wonderful--so warm, patient, and attentive to each child's needs. They create such a positive and supportive environment where children feel encouraged to learn and grow. The activities are well thought out, balancing play and education perfectly. I recently moved to the Antelope Valley and I searched through many care provider services and pre schools to find the best in quality and safety for my baby boy. I am so happy I found Ashley and Little Explorers Preschool Center. My boy was really shy but since starting at Little Explorers he has opened up so much. I can see he has formed such a sweet attachment to Ms.Ashley and another teacher. When I pick him up from school he rambles about his day and always says he's had fun. I had my son enrolled in Ashley's daycare and couldn't be happier. It's family run and they are all so patient, loving and attentive to each child and their different needs. Ashley has a great curriculum set. Teaching the children practical and motor skills, arts and crafts, days of the week etc. And the kids even have their own garden they tend to so they learn a sense of responsibility early on. Homemade hot lunches were another plus. I would recommend this daycare to anyone who is looking into places to take their children in a safe, comfortable environment read more

Ashley and Staff are awesome, they take care of my little girl, and make her feel like a princess. they answer all my question I have and keep me well inform on how she is doing. they do alot of arts and craft, they also have a wonderful play ground were she plays and has a great time with the other kids. My daughter has been going here for almost two years since she was a year and a half. She loves it as well as myself. Great hours, helpful and caring staff that you can trust with your life. There is clear and transparent communication between staff and parents regarding daily activities, behavior changes, and milestones achieved. When the other children were hurting my son they never sent them home. The picture in the upper right hand corner is a bruise mark on my son's chest that I believe was left by an adult. When my son was hurting they would never call me even when I told them too. This was our first daycare & it was a bad experience for us.

Ms. Mary and her staff take such good care of all the children there. My baby always comes home well fed and clean. He's learning to do new things and interacts with the other children frequently. Baby's don't lie and when she arrives there in the morning he's excited and happy to go into the arms of the wonder staff. I go to work at ease because I know my baby is well taken care of. The older kids are always engaged in a fun lesson or actively playing together whenever I arrive for pick up. Their work is displayed and you can tell that there is a lot of care and knowledge put into the lessons. Can't recommend it enough.
