    Sesame Balls

Quiet and not busy when we entered and throughout our dining experience. Our party of 4, 2 adults and 2 kids, was seated shortly after arriving. We ordered sesame balls, vegetable spring rolls, edamame, wonton soup, bacon fried shrimp, a bowl of rice, and the house spicy chicken to share family style. Tried and enjoyed everything. Looking forward to try the sizzling beef with black pepper on a return visit.

Had lunch here with my cousin in laws. Party of 5 adults and 4kids. I've seen this place many times before but never thought to visit as the reviews were quite low but that was my mistake!! They have long booths that surprisingly accommodate our party size. My husband and I ordered veggie chow mein, orange chicken, bbq pork bun and creamy egg custard bun. All our ordered came out quick. Noticed the portions on the chow mein and orange chicken was on the smaller side, guess I'm just used to seeing plates filled as these plates were only half full and didn't cover the plate. Anyways the food was surprisingly delicious!! The chow mein had so much flavor. The orange chicken was more red and it had a crunch to it, my 4yo daughter ate so much and to this day asks about getting more (huge compliment). I was obsessed with the buns!!! The creamy egg and the pork buns were amazing I would definitely come back to order a dz more!! The egg was creamy with a hint of sweet, the pork was savory and reminded me of the Filipino siopao. My cousin in law had ordered a few dumplings couldn't remember which one but wasn't a huge fan. Overall it was a great experience. The chow mein, orange chicken and buns are a solid choice!

First time trying a recommended spot. The soup dumplings came out in an awesome steam basket two tiered. They were tasty, the beef, chicken & shrimp chow mien wasn't my favorite but my daughter loves it. We tried the bbq pork buns, veggie spring rolls as well. I'm not a fan of the bao buns mixture but the spring rolls were good. Nice crunch and inside was perfect. I would try something else next time there was a lot of other options. Our server was super kind and quick with everything that was being made to order mostly.

The soup dumplings ABSOLUTELY amazing! Those are definitely 10/10... The sticky rice and chicken 1/10 rice is mush over cooked, no flavor over all just gross. We also got sweet and sour fish surprisingly really good 8/10 The restaurant is super small space is very limited. The waitress was ok, we never got refills on our drinks and was out of drinks for a while. I would ONLY come back for the soup dumplings to go.!

Pork soup dumplings: I think this is the only place in town that makes their own soup dumplings. The dim sum places I'm sure they buy those frozen. Soup dumplings here are waayy better tasting than other spots. Although I have to admit they're on the saltier side. Each dumpling has a ton of soup inside, the dough is thin and soft. If it weren't so salty I'd give it a 5 but since it was salty (4/5). Har Gow: I've had better. It's pretty standard. The dough was a little chewy. Filling wasn't as flavorful. (3.5/5) Taro steam buns: I'd skip this tbh. Lot of bread and very little filling. I was hoping the filling was a bit sweeter. Very underwhelming. I do think these are bought, not made in house. (1/5) Sticky rice wraps: I also think these are store bought and not made in house. These are standard. Nothing really stands out about these. If you like the taste of shiitake mushrooms you'd like these. (3/5) Overall it's okay. I do need to retry these soup dumplings again because even being salty these are probably the best soup dumplings in town. And probably the only ones that are homemade. Maybe I just came on an off day. Everything else was just meh. But I'll definitely be back to try everything else.

Delicious food. Clean restaurant. Fast service. We arrived and were seated promptly. We ordered a few things to try out and get a feel of the place. The green beans were delicious and the soup dumplings were perfectly done. I tried the steamed pork bao and it probably was my favorite dish. Will definitely be back to try more of their menu.

Kung Pao combination, overall was well.

The service was great, about a 5min wait for table and looked over the menu to order once seated. They checked in on us several times which was great. Food was delicious, my favorite was the shrimp onion dumplings, green beans and the pork soup dumplings! Overall everything was very delicious though! The setting was soothing, light music so you could enjoy a conversation still.

I went to The Little Fat Dumpling on one of those nights where you're not really hungry for food -- you're hungry for comfort. The place was small, warm, and slightly chaotic in a way that felt intentional. Wooden tables, soft chatter, the clinking of dishes, and steam floating from bamboo baskets like tiny clouds. I ordered a simple dumpling trio that arrived on a plate with a small bowl of soy sauce, and before I even took a bite, I had the strange feeling that I had been there before -- even though I hadn't. That's when I noticed something unusual. Behind the counter, each chef seemed to move with an odd rhythm, like they were following silent instructions. Then I saw it -- tiny movements under their hats. Not one, not two... but every cook had a little chef rat, hidden but very much in charge, guiding hands with gentle tugs and determined squeaks. No one else seemed surprised. It was as if this was simply how things worked here. The dumplings tasted like secrets passed down through generations. The soup dumpling held warmth that felt almost nostalgic, the steamed dumpling tasted like patience, and the crispy one carried the joy of imperfection. Every bite felt intentional, like a lesson disguised as food. And just as the night settled into calm... CRASH. A car slammed into the front of the restaurant, glass rattling, a wall shaking, and the kitchen erupting into shouts. Smoke puffed from the corner where the air fryer once stood -- now a tragic, mangled hero of the evening. Strangely, no one panicked. The chefs (and their tiny rat partners) paused, looked at the wreckage, and then simply went back to cooking. Because here, food mattered more than chaos. Customers helped sweep debris. Someone taped cardboard over the broken window. A cook laughed and said, "We lost the air fryer, but not the heart." The tiny rats continued orchestrating the kitchen like miniature conductors refusing to let the symphony end. And the food? Still 10/10. That night, The Little Fat Dumpling wasn't just a restaurant -- it became a shelter. A reminder that home isn't a building that can be crashed into, or an appliance that can be destroyed. Home is the feeling of being fed, welcomed, and quietly understood. I left with a full stomach, a strange belief in invisible teamwork, and a few unexpected morals: * Great things are rarely done alone (even if your partner is a tiny rat). * Chaos doesn't cancel kindness. * Home isn't where everything is perfect -- it's where people keep showing up anyway. * And sometimes, the best meals are served in places that refuse to fall apart. The Little Fat Dumpling may have lost an air fryer that night, but it gained something bigger -- proof that warmth, resilience, and good food can turn any broken place into somewhere worth calling home.

Parking can be a little tough when you get here but I found one around 6pm. It's a small restaurant but one table can probably fit 6 people. Service was fast and we were seated right away. We ordered the beef onion dumplings, house spicy chicken and vegetable chow mein. The food probably came out pretty fast too. I really enjoyed the beef onion dumplings. It had a lot of flavor and tasted homemade :) the house spicy chicken was alright. It wasn't spicy at all and the chow mein was okay. There seems to be a lot of to go orders and I would definitely order the dumplings again :)

The food here is BOMB! I ordered the sesame beef, pork bbq buns, and combination chow mein with the spicy chili oil ramen. Totally recommend these items on the menu are my go too! They make fresh dumplings and soup dumplings when you walk in . Highly recommend. Great food and service.

    Soup dumpling

Service was meh. The older guy who took our order was not inviting. But when he took the other tables party he was inviting. The soup dumpling was wayyyyyyyyy too salty. I love salt and I have a high tolerance for salt and the soup dumpling was way too salty. 8 pieces for $15 COSTCO SOUP DUMPLINGS ARE WAY BETTER. Potstickers were ok, they had soup in it too. That was different. Didn't realize that and I got soup on my shirt. They had the perfect amount of saltiness in it. 12 for $12 Kung pao chicken was soft. Didn't have much protein in this dish & very drenched in heavy sauce. I will not be returning. I can buy groceries potstickers and buy Costco dumplings that tastes a lot than this restaurant.

Not sure what the complaints are about, I truly liked everything I ordered! Good taste & flavor, service was ok & waiting time wasn't too bad. Will definitely be one of my go to spots. All in all: Good food, decent service & the ambiance was. (Should note, I got my order to go)

Does this place serve the dumplings with broth steamed inside?

Yes! They have an 8 piece pork soup dumpling. Delicious!

    Do they use msg?

Not sure, but everything I've had seemed really fresh & made to order aside from maybe the soups & steamed rice, so I'd bet you could ask which dishes can be made without.

This place has been in my regular rotation since they opened and I have never had a bad meal here…read more The concept is a family style hot pot restaurant where you cook your own protein, vegetables or noodles in a flavored brother. You can pick between 1 and 4 different broths per pot. Each table has one cooking stove top, with the larger tables having two. The broths range from vegetarian to mild, to spicy to meat based. Everything is a la carte with the exception of some premade combinations bundling a variety of like items. There's various meat and veggie combos as well as a seafood combo. I always order the veggie combo which comes with a lot that's easily shareable between 4 people. It comes with various greens, mushrooms, cabbage, corn on the cob, cauliflower, and carrots. I don't eat red meat so I stick to their sliced chicken breast or the shrimp balls. My other favorite is the bean curd sticks which is a good meatless protein option. As for broths my two favorite are the Chinese Healthy Herb and the kimchi. I also like their salted crispy chicken appetizer (popcorn chicken). Steamed rice is also a must for me. They have a dipping sauce bar where you can make your own dipping sauce to accompany your hot pot. With the exception of the broth adding flavor, the meats and all the ingredients you add to your hot pot are unseasoned. It includes everything from soy sauce and fish sauce to garlic, fresh chilis, vinegar, and crushed peanuts. Whether you like to keep it simple, mild, or spicy there's a sauce you can create. The ambiance is pretty nice. It used to be a Chinese restaurant years ago and they did keep some of the things the same. They have 3 different TVs inside. The two larger ones on the walls each play a different Kdrama and the one above the register plays Kpop music videos. They do have one larger table that I think accommodates somewhere between 10-12 people (don't quote me on that) and another that can fit 6 or 7 people. Majority of the tables sit 4 and a couple sit 2. Depending what day and time you go, it can get pretty busy and you might have to wait a while. The staff is always friendly and helpful. At the end of the meal they give you orange slices and hard guava candy. Their orange slices are always so good too and a good palette cleanser at the end.

It is also very nicely decorated with some TVs running for entertainment. The food is very good! I recommend getting the individual meats if you're going as a smaller group just so you don't get too much. My personal favorite to get here is the sesame balls. Always hot and crispy with the perfect amount of red bean filling. They do also have a sauce bar, although kind of limited

The menu is cleaner and easier to ready. I ordered on their lunch menu: Yu Shan eggplant, half rice and hald chow mein, comes with soup or salad and eggroll or cheese wontons. Our food came out all hot and large portioned. The food her is always delicious! So much flavor, I was craving it not even a week since we dined in. I love how they clearly make their menu item for those with allergies to gluten, nuts. They also have vegetarian options. I love how include they are with individuals in special diets. Also how kid friendly Lin's restaurants are. Highly recommend and can't wait to revisit! We had a great experience during their grand reopening!
