When looking g for a place to have your young ones in the care of another person it can be a daunting and new experience. However, my family and I were happy to come in contact with this company and in turn Mrs. Ramona. Firstly, she is priced competitively and not only is she caring for our children but helping with their education and dietary needs. My son was a very picky eater and started eating things I didn't think he would ever touch. Most days there would be some kind of arts and crafts and activities to do that were not just screen time. I found Ms. Ramona on yelp. I'm a first-time mom and I was on maternity leave and I was looking for someone who would be able to watch my son once I went back to work. I knew first off that I did not want a large daycare because I used to work in a daycare my college years and I saw a whole lot kids packed into one space and I knew that that's not what I wanted for my son. I wanted someone who was close by my house, someone who didn't take a lot of kids, someone who was clean and someone who was competent about children and childcare. Like I stated before I found Ms. Ramona on yelp-she did not have a lot of reviews but the reviews she did have were very positive. She had a five out of five and so I decided to call her she was very very nice from the start. She let me come by the house and she was very specific on telling me come after hours because she didn't want a stranger in in the house while she had her daycare kids which was perfectly fine by me. I wouldn't want people in and out the house while she was watching my kids so that was OK with me. Ms. Ramona was very accommodating she showed me around. Her place is clean and she has different stations for the kids. She answered all my questions-again me being a first-time mom and the anxiety that I had. She was able to provide information and so we decided to go with her and her prices were cheap as well. I think she stated she had about 22 years in childcare so I knew that that was something that I wanted for my son. She lives on a safe, quiet street so there was no worries about anything related to that. My son has been going to Ms. Ramona for a couple of weeks now and I really enjoy her and and I know my son really likes her as well. She's very patient with him, she's very attentive to him and he has been doing very well there and I'm very grateful for that and I wholeheartedly recommend Ms Ramona. I visited and interviewed Ramona and instantly felt I could trust her, which was so relieving. She has experience as a preschool teacher, provides healthy food, and offered me the flexibility I needed with my schedule. I cannot say enough good things about Mrs. Ramona. My daughter started attending Little Feathers when she was 1.5 years old. My daughter isn't the friendliest when it comes to meeting new people but I could tell Mrs. Ramona always took good care of her. She would even pick her up to calm her down during morning drop offs. We started bringing my daughter to Little Feathers/Miss Ramona and her family when she was 1 year old and only left because she's growing up. :( Miss Ramona is very loving and she and her family welcome the children she cares for into her home as if they are family, too! Ms Ramona was my daughter's kindergarten teacher, and she also looked after my daughter on a regular basis after school, at our home. Ms Ramona is an incredible teacher, and we felt so blessed to have her educate our daughter. She is so kind, unbelievably patient, and always smiling. Let me start by saying that Mrs. Ramona has been the most incredible child care provider that I have ever had! She has helped with potty training, letters and numbers and many other crucial skills. Both my kids love being dropped off in the morning and they are currently 18 months and 3 years old. How many of us parents can say our kids like being dropped off at that age? My wife past away last year and I had a 3 month and 19 month old that I needed to find daycare for. Because I was short on time I ended up choosing a large daycare by my work and was with them for about 7 months. My kids were constantly sick, the cost was twice as high as home daycare and it was far from home. When I finally had some time off I started researching daycare by my house and found Little Feathers daycare. After I met Mrs. Ramona after hours she gave me a tour and got to meet the kids. Both of my kids took to her immediately and spent the entire meeting just playing with toys and playing out in the backyard. I don't know how I would have made it this last year if it wasn't for Mrs. Ramona. It was my first time leaving my 2 little ones in someone else's care and that was initially a scary thought... but after the initial meetup with Mrs Ramona, I became comfortable doing so because of 1. Her greater knowledge at educating children through the well known Montessori method of education 2. About 5 months ago I was nearing the end of my maternity leave and was frantically searching for a place for my son. I had toured a few different centers and private homes, but I couldn't find that magic combination of ideal location, warmth, cleanliness, safety and focused attention that I had experienced with my first son's daycare in another state. As a last resort I came to Yelp to verify a few places I had found on another website, one of which was Little Feathers. I thought it was too good to be true - a private, in-home, reasonably-priced Montessori that accepts infants and was 10 minutes from my home? - so I waited to call Ms. Ramona. I know now that I should have called Ms. Ramona first! First, I LOVE the Montessori method. Our first son is a Montessori kid and it was an amazing experience for him. Second, I am incredibly happy that Ms. Ramona isn't just someone who uses the name "Montessori", but rather she is an expert in the method and is passionate about integrating it into everything she does with her kiddos-even the infants! Finally, Ms. Ramona is one of the most loving, caring, warm people I will ever meet. The instant I walked into her home and sat down to visit with her, I knew I had found the right place for my DS. I am so blessed to have her caring for my son every day. Every morning when I put him in his car seat to go drop him off, I tell him we are going to see Ms. Ramona and his eyes light up, he smiles and giggles! When he gets there and she picks him up, he just snuggles right into her arms and you can tell that she really loves her babies and that he feels loved and safe. I couldn't ask for a more perfect place for my baby. I never have to worry about him while I am at work and while being a working mom is not easy, it does help knowing that someone like Ms. Ramona is watching over my kid while I am gone. By the way, we love Ms. Ramona so much that we will be sending our older son to her without hesitation during the break he has between preschool and kindergarten! I was referred to Ms. Ramona through a friend. When my son started he had just turned 4 years old and was still not potty trained. Within two weeks of being with Ms. Ramona he was potty trained, cleaning up his toys on his own at home, eating and asking for heathy foods that I could not get him to try before.
