The box is good, but the garden surrounding the box is fantastic. After you exchange a book or two, check out the community garden. There are lots of places to sit and relax, and enjoy nature. But don't steal any of the fruit from the orchard!

"Wow-- right in my own neighborhood!"…read more This little Free Library apparently was built recently. I happened to see it whilst coming back from breakfast. It is a brand new box, beautifully built and sturdy. It is just off the sidewalk. The day that I visited it was crammed with all kinds of great books both for adults and children. All in great condition. Thanks for adding such a wonderful feature to my neighborhood

Wow Dublin, my hometown, finally has its first little free library book box!…read more This book box was provided by the students as a project for the graduating class of 2019. It's a well-constructed sturdy box located at the front of the school/church. It's right across the street from Shannon Center. The day that I visited it was stocked wirh hardcover, as well as soft cover books. The quality of the books is definitely superior to most other book boxes I have seen. There was a wide assortment of books all the way from juvenile to adult. Keep in mind that you can't legally park right in front of the box. However, you can park across the street. Thanks to the graduating class of 2019 for creating such a wonderful book box for the community!

"Little Free Library + food pantry"…read more This is one of the more ingenious little free libraries I've seen. Not only is it a library, it is a food pantry as well. And don't forget the community bulletin board right next door. The book box contains a lot of books, divided between adult and kids' books. Plenty to choose from, and also plenty to eat. If you need some food. Thank you to the owners for adding such a wonderful asset to our community.

"Magical Book Box"…read more This cute little library book box is one of the latest in the series commissioned by the city of Dublin. This one is in Kolb Park. Look for it next to the tennis courts. The theme of this book box is magic. Be sure to check out the sorcerer on the side of the book box, as well as the beautiful painting on the rear. It looks like a lot of people are using this book box, since it's stock is pretty much depleted.

"Wonderful library on a Quiet, Pleasant Street."…read more This is a really pretty, well-constructed little free library, on a pleasant street in San Ramon. They even have a sign on a nearby light pole, explaining what a little free library is. I've never seen anyone else do this. The library is well-constructed, well-maintained, and full of books. Honestly, you can't do any better than this. Thank you for adding such a wonderful asset to our community!

How Conservatives won the Heart of American" (Thomas Frank) -in it's infancy, Kansas was an anti-slavery state. they literally had battles with pro slavery Missouri. Populism among the farmers was strong. *Frank is a native of Kansas. his book reveals how Kansas changed. -Kansas was once dominated by "country club Republicans" whom the farmers disliked. outside Republicans ousted the "club" by linking them to coastal elitists, i.e. media, educational elites, government bureaucrats. -the new Republicans pushed "culture war" issues: abortion, homosexuality, media & religion but not economic ones. they were founded with corporate $$. -the New Democrats (Clinton) also skipped economic issues, thus losing the farm and working class voters. they wanted to pursue corporate donations and moderate Republican voters. new Dems also funded with corporate $. -Kansas lost good paying factory jobs when corporations moved factories. only low wage meat packing plants opened in Kansas employing imported labor.
