We found this restaurant through a recommendation and it was a great spot! We had about a 15 minute wait for our table of three. It's a small restaurant with a few outdoor tables for two people. As we were waiting, we we able to see that one table got pancakes and that inspired my daughter to order one too! Service was speedy, which was nice. I ordered the shakshouka and it was very flavorful. I loved that our meals came with a side salad, which was so lovely! I was in the clean your plate club today! My husband had the sausage breakfast sandwich, which he said was really good and as mentioned previously, my kiddo ordered a pancake. I tried a bite of her pancake and it was one of my all time favorite pancakes from a restaurant! We will happily be back when we are in Portland again!

I had a fantastic experience at The Little Griddle. The atmosphere is so fun and welcoming, and the staff is incredibly friendly. I was amazed at how super quick the food came out, and it was absolutely delicious--tasty, fresh, and gave me that perfect home-cooked breakfast feeling.

Big fat biscuits! They had a large menu, I got a sandwich with a side of potatoes. Nothing special here for me.

Our first visit was a wonderful experience. The staff at Little Griddle greeted us warmly and openly, instantly creating a friendly atmosphere for a great meal. Although the space is small, it feels cozy and intimate rather than crowded, which adds to its charm. The menu offers a wide variety of tasty options, with each dish thoughtfully made using fresh, high-quality ingredients. We added our name to the waitlist beforehand, helping us skip a long wait. The restaurant's small size and vintage decor evoke classic Portlandia charm. We're excited to go back and try more dishes from their menu. The pancake was delicious and super soft--must try!

Cute/ TINY breakfast spot. Lots of local art on the wall which I absolutely love about Portland. Local coffee roasters as well- spicy Bloody Mary is spicy doesn't always work that way. Service was decent, $60 for breakfast for two only one alcoholic beverage.

I went to Little Griddle in Portland for brunch after spending the morning at the hospital with a friend having surgery. There was a bit of a wait (which was fine, given the small interior) but the place looks very cozy inside. I was seated and given a menu, and it was nice to see the art and plants all around, which gave the space a very welcoming vibe. I ordered a plate that had potatoes, eggs any way you wanted, some sausage and a biscuit. The potatoes were flavorful and my egg was cooked perfectly. The biscuit was interesting. I'm from the south and I had never had a biscuit quite like it. It was golden, but almost like it had been pan fried on the outside, or cooked in a salamander. It was delicious, but not flaky. That's not a critique, just it was very different than any other biscuit I had eaten before. The servers were very nice, and the coffee very good. I'd certainly come back! It's good to plan to spend a bit of time here tho. Between the parking (street only, and limited), and limited seating, there is often a wait.

Solid breakfast spot! Small space - not great for big groups - likely a wait, even for a party of two. It's been around a while, but this was my first visit. I left satisfied! The huevos benedictos were phenomenal!!! Braised pork shoulder, poached egg, avocado, hollandaise, pico, cotija...you kidding me?!? So damn good! The side salad is a perfect compliment. My Irish coffee definitely not shy on the Irish! Loved it! My partner had some over medium eggs (good execution) with bacon and a biscuit. The biscuit was fantastic - crispy layers of dough! Service is okay, but reminiscent of a diner.

A little brunch before the airport. It was a great stop. Plenty of street parking. Service was good. Value yes. Food was tasty. Would come back for another delightful treat.

My sandwich was SO good, its very cute and homey in there, service was OK. We came in 45 minutes before closing and it was 10 minutes before closing and it felt like they were trying to rush us out.

Such a lovely little place! Sweet, helpful staff, clean, and really great food and drink. The drip coffee was very smooth and they kept my cup full. My breakfast partner had the veggie hash which was enjoyed very much. I had the Truckstop breakfast with 2 eggs, breakfast potatoes, veggie sausage (comes with your choice of protein), and a cat's head biscuit (that's what we called giant biscuits in the South). The cook prepared the scrambled eggs perfectly - I order eggs "scrambled, soft" but don't always come out that way, but they were expertly on target here. The breakfast potatoes were glorious- a generous serving of perfectly seasoned, fluffy soft on the inside, crispy on the outside, two pieces of tasty vegan sausage, and the biscuit had been sliced and heated on the stove and came with butter and what I suspect might have been housemade berry jam. I am fussy about pancakes and didn't see anyone else with them on their plates (as I rubbernecked around the room to see what people were eating) but I think I'll try one next time, now that I know what an exceptionally good job they did with everything on this first visit. Street parking. Use of their on-line waiting list is encouraged.

Every. Single. Item. Was. Delicious. Country Benedict: the braised chicken was cooked to perfection, the hollandaise was perfect, and that was the tastiest, best biscuit I have ever had...AND I LIVE IN THE SOUTH! I also added a side of potatoes which were well-seasoned, crispy, and comforting. (Not pictured) My friend got the french toast which she thoroughly enjoyed and I also got to try some and loved that it was fresh bread, not overly sweet, and topped with fresh fruit sauce. We did note that it needed more but that might be the south in us that wants diabetes in everything. Lastly...the cold brew latter that they added their house made brown sugar syrup to. BEST coffee on my trip. I ordered a second one to go. The service was top notch. We laughed a lot, the place is quaint and cute. 12/10!

Great place. Excellent food with a feel good 'vibe' and attentive and engaging staff. They're pretty fun too. And the Owner and Cooks are worth standing up to cheer about. Little Griddle is one of my top two breakfast/ brunch spots in Portland.

Wow amazing French toast as this is what ime usually on the hunt for. I didn't even need the syrup. This was a 2 portion but it's huge. Easily splitable.

The tasty salad make the breakfast biscuit a complete meal.

Where is the outdoor dining located? Is it a back patio, or tables on the outside sidewalk?

we have two large picnic tables on the sidewalk! while the weather permits

No worries! We have polenta bowls, no gluten, no bacon, and we can leave off the eggs. We do a vegetable hash that is totally vegan without eggs, easily replaced with avocado. We have a lot of options for gluten free and celiac folks, as well as…

Why do you list vegan options on yelp when I see none on the menu (besides possibly oatmeal)?

I believe those options are added by yelp users. I just went to see if I could change them and I’m not sure I can. The oatmeal is definitely vegan. The collard greens as…

You would see that it's going to a motel, you would think to add the silverware. Fortunately, I was able to get silverware from my motel's breakfast room. The lumpia were very good. They were not greasy at all. They are smaller than standard eggrolls, but because they use more meat and less veggies than your standard eggroll, they pack a lot more flavor. Everything inside was seasoned well, and I really enjoyed them. They came with a vinegar based dipping sauce that I liked The "garlic Ponzu" salmon poke? No, not nearly as good. For the price they were charging, it was not a very big portion. Besides that, it just wasn't that good. A good salmon is normally pink to orange. This salmon was barely pink. I couldn't taste the garlic or the Ponzu at all. The veggies were crisp, the rice was a good quality, but there was just no seasoning. The salmon was very bland. I didn't know if it was just because of the seasoning, maybe they used a low quality or a previously, frozen salmon. I love good salmon. This was not good salmon. For the price I paid, not counting the DoorDash fees because those are added in anyway, I just felt I didn't get my moneys worth. Next time I'm in the area, I will find another place. Thanks anyway.

We were warmly greeted, seated in a booth, and promptly served a basket of crispy tortilla chips and homemade salsa. The family-friendly atmosphere had a cozy neighborhood destination vibe. We shared a carne asada platter with a chile relleno and taco al pastor. The carne asada was amazing! Generous portion of grilled meat that was perfectly seasoned. All the sides you would want...guac, pico de gallo, sour cream, grilled scallion and jalapeño, rice, beans cheese plus your choice of tortillas to wrap it all up in. The chile relleno had lots of melty cheese and was thinly battered, just my style. So much yummy food, plenty for two. We had grapefruit Jaritos and n/a Corona but the margaritas look to be very popular, we even saw several huge ones with two straws being shared. Cannot comment on dessert, not enough room. Chips and salsa were both weak. Most restaurants at least heat/refry the chips. The Chile Relleno is the eggy batter kind, with low-end chile like you'd find in a can. If this is the only familiar style of chili relleno then do yourself a favor and try the version at Salsas Locas in Southeast. Now that's something to brag about. The lunch special taco is only available in hard shell with a limited choice of ground beef (yuck), chicken or bean and cheese. The whole thing is topped with shredded iceberg lettuce (double yuck) then drowned in old school ranchero sauce with gobs of cheese. Very 1980s like. That said, the soft taco with carnitas was very good! So it seems like they have a mishmash of gringo Mexican and some authentic dishes. The interior is very inviting while the service was friendly and fast. Only saw Mexican staff and Mexican customers, a good thing. One and done for me, but many will enjoy this type of venue.
