This is my second visit and boy was I disappointed in quality of food. I asked was the fish a nice size and told yes. Red snapper bigger than this and the price did not match the plate. What a gem this restaurant is, very friendly staff. I found this little hole in the wall on my way through Albany, Georgia. Let me put an emphasis on hole in the wall, but do not let that discourage yougrom trying here. The very friendly and helpful staff offer some fine food. Now my go to with Jamaican is jerk pork and with it on their menu, that was my order. Along with it I had rice and greens. My meal was just under twelve dollars and I walked out into the early evening happy I found here. The atmosphere is like you will see in a lit of mom and pop Jamaican places, a bit shabby with the prerequisite picture of Bob Marley. Of course, reggae provided the sou strack as I enjoyed my dinner. If you find yourself in Albany, Georgia, try the place. A good meal served by friendly people. Wanted to grab something quick and easy/close to my hotel and this was the pick for the evening. I stopped in to what was a nice size mom and pop restaurant and ordered the oxtail with beans not peas and rice. Along with the pulled pork jerk chicken with rice and spinach due to.them being out of cabbage. Over all the oxtail portion was a little on the small side for the price and they could have been cooked a little longer/slower to render the fat more. Also the jerk pork was.more like stewed pork and not what I'm used to which is more of a grilled flavor. The spinach side was better than expected, lol and the cornbread was tasty. Great customer service from the two ladies who took my order. All in all I'd give them another try and maybe try some fried fish. read more

Prices are very reasonable! I had the curry chicken, rice, cabbage, cornbread & Jamaican Patty with a little side of goat for taste. The cabbage and cornbread was good. I went because I was craving curry chicken from an authentic establishment but unfortunately it didn't meet my expectations. I've had better. It was bland, not enough seasoning. Giving it 3 stars. On 1-10, I give it a 5. It's not a 2 star type of restaurant, so on 1-5, I have to give it a 3. The staff was very nice and professional. The restaurant was clean. I popped up around the afternoon during a weekday when traffic was slow. The food looks appealing. I had their curry chicken. I barely tasted the curry. The food was not spicy at all. Curry chicken was bland. I read reviews on people saying their food was spicy. I did not have that experience. The beans and rice was good. Cornbread was sweet. The food overall was okay, but I don't think I'll be going back. I don't think I'll be craving it or anything, but if you're looking for some Caribbean food, I suggest you give it a try. Took a drive over on a Saturday afternoon. When you pull up to this unassuming strip mall, you can't begin to imagine the magic that is inside. It's there. You just have to walk through the door. First thing that stood out to my companion and I was how friendly the service was. She asked if it was our first time in and when we confirmed it was, she went down the list of everything they had to offer. I ordered the jerk chicken and the oxtails and two of the Jamaican pies, spicy beef and spinach and cheese. The red beans and rice were on point as were the entrees. Now, this place isn't cheap but I'll pay for when a person pours themselves in their food. I also wouldn't consider it expense. Everything was spot on. Thank y'all for a great experience. Curry Goat, Red Beans & Rice, Peas, Corn Bread, Red Velvet Cake and Lemonade (you'd think I was eating for two ) all for $20. Plus the portions are very generous! You get ALOT of bang for your buck at Little Jamaican so the prices are beyond reasonable. This place really is a local gem. My family has frequented this place since I was a little girl. The picture gave off a whole nother vibe. The picture of the curry goat is what made me try the place. When I got there the customer service was out standing. They was getting ready to close so the food was all in the bank instead of out. Me my mom and niece all got something different. When I got mine it looked good but when I tasted it ,it wasn't well seasoned and my plantains was very dry. My niece had the wings with fries that was good and my mom had the gyro supposedly. They ran out of gyro wraps do they used chicken tortillas raps which was much smaller and it was very bland no seasoning. read more

Fantastic little hole in the wall spot for good Jamaican food. I got the curry goat and jerk chicken with stewed cabbage, red rice, and corn bread. Oh man was it delicious. The curry was fantastic, and the chicken fell off the bone and was super tender. Cornbread was perfectly warm and moist, with just the right amount of crisp to wipe up the leftover sauce. I'm no expert on Jamaican cuisine, but it tasted very homey and authentic. Service was fantastic too. Seemed like a father-son business with the father in the kitchen and the son in the front. Both were very friendly towards us; the son even gave us a free meat pie as he saw my colleage and I oggling and wondering what it was. Restaurant was clean as well. Nothing to fear here. Awesome Jamaican food, which I hadn't had a chance to sample very much before coming to Albany. Good chicken dishes with tons of flavor and the Oxtail is actually pretty tasty. No sides really stood out, but the rice was solid. Portion sizes are good too. The smell is intoxicating/delicious and it was pretty much torture whenever my boss was eating it and I wasn't. And if you go here, you HAVE to have a Ting. It's the national drink of Jamaica! The refreshing lime flavor is the perfect accompaniment to your meal, despite being $2 a bottle. The staff is also very, very friendly and will recognize you after a trip or two. Only complaints I would have to say are the occasional bones in some of my dishes and they're a tad pricey. read more

I was driving thru GA and I got hungry so i decided to look at my yelp APP saw this place and got curious. Well I am glad I decided to stop by because the food was amazing. I had the goat stew deal, chicken jerky and rice with beans. It was like 10 years since last time I eat goat and I had almost forgot how much better than any other meat it is. This cook really knows how to do it up. The reason why I am only giving it a 3 star and not a 4 is because the establishment itself could use some work. The food could not be better but i reserve my 4 stars for a all around excellent place and 5 stars for exactly that tuxedo kind of place.
