Ms.Heidi is so hands on and just the absolute best person you could ever meet. Ms.Kristen is the friendly face in the morning and Ms.Stella is the superstar afternoon teacher. I'm really surprised the reviews aren't the best on here!! My 4 year old started here a few months ago. Miss Susie is terrific as well as Miss Teresa. They truly care for your children. Especially when your child is having a tantrum, they use calm and soothing mechanisms to relax your kid. It makes me feel a whole lot better knowing that my child is with people who understand children's feelings. Not only that, my daughter does not stop talking about her friends and how much she's loves Miss Teresa, Miss Susie, Miss Callie, Miss Megan and Miss Tina. Both of our kiddos have attended Little Learners. Ms. Susie and the rest of the staff continually do a fantastic job creating a fun and inviting atmosphere for the children. They are engaged, capable, and take their role seriously... all while maintaining great relationships with our little ones. Both our kids love going to school and that says it all. They learn, they have fun, they trust their teachers. They make art, they focus on different letters and subjects every week, they sing songs, they love playing on the playground. The school engages in fun family projects for holidays and seasonal celebrations. The staff is always warm and friendly. They weren't doing any family/ social events during the pandemic, but recently had their first event that parents were invited to (an easter egg hunt) and I was able to observe how patient but efficient the teachers were at helping and wrangling the kids. Worked for this place for a week, decided then and there it was not a good place to work, let alone bring my kids. They let the infants crawl around on the hot ground in the summer, have too much structure for infants(infants are hungry when theyre hungry, not only when it fits the centers schedule. ive been told to not feed a child when theyre hungry.). Just all around not a good place. The owner is not a pleasant woman and seems to have this King Tut mentality and looks at everyone else like theyre beneath her at all times. Steer clear. read more

We moved my almost three year old son here recently and have been loving it. He is so excited to go to school! He does really cool activities and there is an academic and social emotional focus. Miss Susie has been great with our questions. She actually explained their curriculum to me (other preschools would say "we have a curriculum" and provide zero details). It's a tiny school that I heard about through word of mouth like many other parents here. The place my kiddo went before has high reviews and they were great until he was almost two, but their academic prep before kinder was not anything like this place. He was getting bored and wasn't happy with how they move kids (at the exact age, so every kid watches their friends move up and has to wait for their birthday, he had a meltdown before he turned two and then again this fall when they made some shuffles due to imbalanced enrollment of age levels, thanks COVID!). Little Learners doesn't push kids and does promote constructive play, they know what they are doing and provide strong foundational skills for success. For context, I work in public schools and have observed many kindergarten and first grade classrooms across the district. They have two buildings, one for under two and one for 2-5. I can't speak to the infant side, but their 2-5 program rocks. I did just get a newsletter that they are redoing their website and saw there is a place for parent testimonials, so check there before you decide :) read more

DO NOT WORK HERE, I didn't think it was that bad at first, Teresa was awesome (Director of 2-5 years old) I loved her. The director of the babies side was a whole waste of payroll(Amber). She would set on her phone so many times that we need help. She would just either be on her phone or Apple Watch and she wouldn't shut up about the men she would meet on dating website. She loved Facebook as well. Lol. She even told on me to Susie (owner) about me putting blankets on babies in which amber covered child's faces with the blankets all the time. I got in trouble for that. Owner Susie is a waste of time. She is a bully. She accused me of having bed bugs when I had poison oak. She is very unprofessional. She showed the photos I sent to her of my poison oak to a parent and the parent apparently said it looked like bed bugs. I tried to call out of work to see a doctor due to the marks on my legs. she told me that I had to come in right then and that I had to go to the doctor after work. I was unsure if I was contagious and didn't want to give it to any children if I was. She didn't seem to care. When I "quit" got fired Then later on a few months later I put in my two weeks, To focus more on college. One morning I was running a little late and a realized that my clothes from the night before where wet in the washer I put them in the dryer and contacted my manager amber. I told her I would be late due to my clothes and she fired me. And told me my check would come by mail. I was shocked, I decided to go to little learners because in the state of Nevada you must just paid within 72 hours of being fired. Susie (owner) refused to pay me, she even decided to call the cops on me. She was yelling at me saying that I didn't earn the money she owed me. Then she told me that I didn't get fired that I quit. But indeed I didn't quit. I got fired. And that I would get a check in the mail. I was very upset. Disappointed in this job. Susie is a bully and doesn't care about your rights read more

Wow, I am taken back by the reviews from disgruntled former employees. My son has been going to this daycare for almost 2 years and we have nothing but good things to say about it. The owner Miss Susie and all of the teachers/staff have been so great to my son. When we first put him in daycare he was having separation anxiety (as well as I) and they were so great about making him feel comfortable and sending me pictures to ease my worries. He started in the infant/baby side and moved over to the bigger kids side once he turned two. They all have been so wonderful and attentive which made it so much easier for me to go back to work. It isn't just a daycare, he has learned so such being there and has a lot of fun. We also really like how clean and organized they are. My daughters have been going to Little Learners since 2017. We had a hard time finding care for my oldest when she was little due to my admittedly high standards as well as some other circumstances. The owner of Little Learners worked to ensure that we were comfortable, happy and that it was a good fit for us and them. We haven't looked back since. It is apparent that the teachers truly adore the little ones under their care. My girls come home happy, fed, and fulfilled. I'd recommend Little Learners to any of my friends or family. read more

I worked for Little Learners two separate times, once in 2010, again just last year, 2020. The treatment by the owner is awful. The first time I worked for her, I kind of just went along with it, but 10 years later I really saw her true colors. She seems so welcoming and nice, but it's really not the case. It's her way or the highway. She's constantly micromanaging and favors her own grandchildren over the other kids. She's on her phone constantly, but will get angry with you for having to be on yours to make a quick phone call or send a quick text. Forget about having to call in sick or leave early for a doctor's appointment. When I was pregnant with my son, there was no room for me to leave to go to my prenatal appointments. She hires the least amount of employees as possible so she doesn't have to pay more money. Any time I had to use the bathroom it was an inconvenience, so I would have to hold it or get an eye roll from her. The schedule that they put babies on is ridiculous too. Babies need different things at different times. I understand structure, but having one 6 month old stay in their pack and play for 2 hours and then trying to force them to go back to sleep just because it's nap time when they only needed an hour nap is ridiculous. The setup of the infant area is ridiculously small and there are such limited amount of toys. Again... her trying to keep her money. My daughter was 4 when I worked there and was in the preK class, and did okay, but overall she wasn't happy there. I didn't see the teachers catering to kids' specific needs, just doing exactly what Miss Susie expected to happen throughout the day for her to look "good." The turnover of teachers being fired or quitting because of management is not somewhere I would want to have my child every day. I was lucky that my daughter was there while I was working so I could check in on her, but don't be fooled by Susan' initial nice demeanor. She treats her employees like garbage and they can be thrown away at any minute for any reason. read more

Day cares must be one of the hardest places to choose. If you are a new parent, like myself, your unsure of how to even start looking for a good place for your child. I personally love looking at Yelp for reviews on restaurants, hotels, shopping and activities. But when it came to do research on day cares, I was lost. I jumped onto Yelp anyway, just to peek. I waited too long to get my child set up with day care when it came time for me to go back to work, most places that I contacted for a tour/interview, were already booked and a waiting list a mile long! I had made a list of daycares, based upon their website information and pictures, started calling them all and sure enough, all full. When I called Little Learners, I spoke with the owner Susie, she was inviting and not so quick to turn me away. A tour was set up the following day. WOW! I was super impressed! The cleanliness of the facility, all the teachers were wearing scrubs, the organization and the way the teachers made you feel. I instantly felt welcomed and pretty satisfied that my child would have a great experience here! It has been only a week and we couldn't be happier with all the teachers at Little Learners! I admit to being skeptical, due to there not being any reviews on them, but no information is better than negative information in my opinion. So I wanted to make sure that I let everyone know that as a new parent, I love this place and can see my child attending their learning center for years to come. Thank You to everyone at Little Learners for providing my child a warm, safe and snuggly place for him to be while mom and dad work our butts off, for the biggest joy in our lives! 1/20/2016 UPDATE* Its a sad day when you have to pull your littles from "Susie's Care" It's your typical, sad, cliche situation where the owner is her own worst enemy! The teachers are great, the facility is great, the learning aspect is great, but it doesn't need to to come with drama. Being tough,keeping your staff in check, running a good business is totally OK and admirable. As a parent, I can't viably leave my child in an unstable persons care. Too many excuses, too many fibs! I have read some of these reviews and I agree, there are way too many "fibs and stories". The blame is always on someone else for why something was not done correctly or who did what. My child did not attend here for long and I wish I had never had him/her attend here. Being in charge of another person's child is a lot of responsibility and it should not be taken lightly, I feel my child was neglected and NOT taken care of how he/she should have been. I worked at this place for about three weeks. My baby was also attending the daycare. Like any other baby, he cried and it took him a while to warm up. They didn't handle his crying well at all. They got frustrated with him even though BABIES CRY. why own a daycare if you don't know how to calm a crying child. I was told that I was being fired because I went into my child's classroom and breastfed him, even though that is my right and it was on my break. I would work eight hour shifts and wasn't offered a lunch break, that's against the law. The kids liked me there and I did my job perfectly, I have worked with kids for years and I knew what I was doing. I was never once late, I was always there before my scheduled time. I was always the only one cleaning while the other teachers sat with the kids and scrolled through their phones. To calm my baby down one of the teachers was showing him her phone, Rather than calming him down the right way she'd chose to be lazy. When I let the owner know I would like my breaks she didn't take well to that. If I could give this place zero stars I honestly would. There are two other employees who left terrible reviews and I chose to ignore them and give this place out a try for myself, big mistake. Keep in mind that lots of other babies are crying at that center because like I mentioned earlier.. it's kinda what they do. The employees spend their time scrolling through tiktok rather than watching the kids, the owner obviously doesn't think this is a problem as she spends most of her time on her phone as well. This is coming from a former employee, I would not recommend this daycare, for so many reasons. this place is awesome! I started my son's daycare her in April 2016 and this place has made me feel so at ease while i work full time! The staff is very friendly and caring. My son was 4 months at the time and i was a nervous wreck! however my worries were put to ease very quickly. Jacob is always very happy when he sees the teachers and is always happy and content. the owner Susie, is a sweetheart and worked with my very short notice to get Jacob in and settled a days before a returned to work. this daycare is a loving, friendly and safe environment! I get little "present" of my son's activities and art that he does during the day. Best of all I get continuous updates via text with pictures on him. this is what gets me through my day. They support me breastfeeding him by giving him my pumped milk, they also tell me that when ever i want i can swing by and breastfeed him. they have a little room for me to breastfeed him and enjoy some one on one with him. We are so thrilled with Little Learners! My 2 boys are 3 and 4. My oldest just started pre-k at Little Learners. He is already trying to read words. My boys now also play with each other like they are friends...it wasn't like that before we started going to Little Learners. They have learned wonderful social skills. Agree with what all the other reviewers have said 100 percent. My kids attended for a couple years, so I had the displeasure of having a lot of interaction with the owner. She doesn't even talk to you like an adult, she lectures and talks down. One reviewer said she's her own worst enemy. Couldn't agree more. The long term directors and teachers are pretty great, but there is a ton of turn over. I had two kids there, one of which has some behavioral issues; they tried working with us, which is appreciated, but I don't believe they have any training or knowledge in dealing with ADHD. The things the owner said to me made me realize this. I'm not saying that they need to be a facility that specializes in this, but ongoing education is something I would expect in a child development center. I had to get the real story from the teachers, the owner is so dramatic that I just couldn't believe her when she tried lecturing me about my kid. 99% of the time, the teachers gave me a different story. Not worth all the trouble they cause. There is a consistent flow of teachers in and out of the center and the teacher that stay are so lazy and complacent. I have walked in too many times to teachers sitting down(not with the children) and on their phones. Really disappointing because the owner made it seem like a quality center and she turned out to be the root of all the problems. I'd steer clear of this place if I were you. My Daughter started at Little Learners in June 2016. I was fortunate to be able to stay home from work for a year with my daughter, so I was nervous and skeptical about her starting preschool. The owner Susie is so warm and sweet and has made the transition for me so easy. All of the teachers are great and really care about the children. The facility is clean and I appreciate the fact that toys are sterilized daily. My husband and I have been so impressed with the love and care the teachers have shown are daughter!
