The location is very accessible to 302, but secluded back away from traffic. The kids especially love the large outdoor play areas. As healthcare workers who work varying schedules including holidays, it has been such a relief to find someone with minimal holidays, rarely closes for snow, and who will be able to provide a care option for the random days that school is closed now that our oldest will be starting Kindergarten. We truly don't know how we would have made it through the ongoing pandemic without the love and consistency they provided for our kids, allowing both parents to continue working where we were needed. The staff here have made us feel like family, and we can't thank them enough.

When "those days" happen and the staff reaches out and gently offers advice or words of encouragement - I welcome it wholeheartedly - After all, these are people who spend most of our childrens waking hours with them. She created an atmosphere where residents could learn, experiment, express themselves, and experience the genuine sense of accomplishment that comes from creating something of their own. As an artist, Evelyn is remarkably talented and knowledgeable about her craft. So far, I've attended a Tea + Tummytime class with Jackie (Tuesdays @ 11am) and the Feeding Circle with Brooke (Thursdays at 9:30am). Both are FREE community classes, you just sign up beforehand on their website. I plan on checking out the baby yoga classes as well. Young, old, male, female, tall, short, thin, fat, rich, poor - no matter who you are and where you are on life's journey, you ARE welcome there. It's a large building and large congregation, but you quickly feel like a member of the family. FCCUCC SoPo offers 2 worship services most Sundays (just 1 in July & Aug). First service is held in Chapel at 8:30. It's a less formal style service. The other service is held in the Sanctuary and starts at 10 am. This service is complete with choir and other musical offerings as well as scripted prayers. Child care is available at the 10am service and Sunday School takes place at that time also. There are currently 2 pastors on staff, both of whom help the congregation take a look at being a christian in this day and age. Many social clubs, and various activities are sponsored by this church.
