Sometimes, out of desperation, you read the reviews and think, "It can't be that bad." Joke's on me. This little pizza spot,granted, very busy,was missing one of the most basic things: the ability to cook a typical dish. I went in to pick up a chicken parmesan hero. While waiting in a long line in this tiny space, the woman in front of me asked for two plain slices to go. She even requested that they not heat them up because the wait was already so long. The cashier told her they had run out of plain pizza and she had to pick from whatever was left, which looked like it had been sitting out all day. With no other option, she reluctantly took the sausage slices and stated she will pick the toppings off. How does a pizza place run out of plain pizza and not make more? That's like a coffee shop running out of coffee. As for my chicken parm hero...It was basically just a dry chicken cutlet sandwich. There was barely any sauce, so little that the bread wasn't even a little bit soaked. It was completely dry. Nevermind trying to also find where was the cheese inside. Absolutely terrible! Good pizza place, not great. Service has been good the two times I've eaten at Little Mia's. The pizza is solid, not anything I'd drive out of my way for but it hits the spot when I'm in the area. Two things that annoy me about this place are as follows, the pizza slices are typically not cut the same size. Some will be super small and some very large. Not a big deal if u order a full pie. But when ordering individual slices, u don't want to get taken for a ride and get stuck with a tiny slice of Also, the last time we went in for a few slices, the girl actually piled the slices on top of each other in the box. oh my goodness ,what happened? This used to be my favorite restaurant when visiting Lavallette everything was always great, not anymore. Not sure if it's new owners or what but , I probably wouldn't come back here again. Service was so slow. They had one waitress serving nine tables. I felt bad for her. The food was awful. Here's the best part women that's in charge of the front desk goes in the bathroom for sometime turns out she is cleaning it . Comes with this towel that she was cleaning with gray and dirty looking . Someone comes in at the front desk take the towel hangs it on a shelf by the desk. Would give zero stars if I could. Terrible service and food was basic. Went there with my family and we waiting an hour for one pasta dish, one slice of pizza, one wrap and one cheese steak. When we received our food the cheese steak has Kraft American cheese slapped on it. One apology for the delay and then the excuse was that they were short staffed. That was only after 30 new customers walked in the door and ordered take out and walked out within 10 minutes after ordering their food. Never will go back. They forgot the salad and gave the wrong dressing.It was $16.99 with chicken on the menu. I didn't get chicken, only pasta and was charged $21. My son wanted a bacon cheese burger. It was disgusting. Fast forward two years. Everyone is very friendly here but the pizza has not gotten better. The dough needs more salt and the sausage is sub par. Seeing some of the entrées coming out of the kitchen, looked real good. There is no fountain service for beverages. Cans or bottles are your choices. There is not a very large selection. The best part of my meal was the two pieces of bread served with tomato sauce in a soufflé cup. Nice fresh bread. One thing, why the complimentary bread when you've ordered pizza? Tried this place twice and both times, we were treated with exceptional service. Ordered delivery once and planned to use the coupon, and the driver let us keep the coupon for future use. I wish I could give this restaurant 0 stars. I have ever had a meal that was more inedible then this. The soup was so over salted and not what was listed on the menu. I ordered a soup with veggies and tortellini and it had not one tortellini. The potato soup had no potatoes at all. It was chicken soup with maybe Alfredo sauce added to it. Everything was disgusting! We also ordered two pasta dishes which were horrible. The Arriabatta had absolute no spice to it and the cavatelli and broccoli was in a cream sauce. The bad: I've ordered from the Seaside heights with no issues ever one many times but I accidentally called the Lavallette one. They said 45 minutes (for a couple of subs). I figured it was a while but okay. I get there, pay and they say it'll be "a little while longer". Fine, I say I'm gonna sit outside to wait. I seen people come and pick up and leave before I get mine. An hour after I get there (I got there about 50 minutes after the call), someone asks if I'm waiting. At this point, they're closing up, people are starting to leave. Two hours for a few subs guys. The good: The subs themselves were good. The bread has a nice, chewy crust and so soft and fresh on the inside. You can tell it was fresh but they could have added more cheese on a cheese sub. Pricing was good too. Two subs for $15? Although the food here is ok, I am extremely disappointed with the service. After being on hold for about 10 minutes, we decided to drive over to place our take out order since when I tried calling back, there was no longer a phone connection . When I got to to the counter, I realized I was still the person on hold all this time blocking the phones. When I mentioned I was someone who called earlier and was still on hold, the girl offered no apology and said sometimes they do that when it's too much and sometimes even unplug the phone.
