PDC…read moremanages the rare feat of doing two things incredibly well; it is both a very warm, welcoming, friendly, well run and well organized studio and also an incredible teaching facility for dance. Kay and the faculty are very supportive and attentive to all the kids, regardless of their level. They keep a careful eye on who needs what kind of work and suggest classes accordingly. It's remarkable how well they know each kid, and everything they are dealing with both in and out of dance. They also enforce a policy of all the kids being nice to each other. Everyone applauds for everyone else, everyone thanks the teacher at the end of each class, everyone works hard and is supportive of each other. The studio is growing along with my daughters, so that there are always challenging classes to take and interesting things to learn. They have been given wonderful opportunities not just to perform and to compete, but also to do things like dance at local cultural festivals and for seniors in a care facility. The studio is also very respectful of family time and homework time, and many of their dancers are also honors students in school. My daughters have learned not just how to dance, but how to manage their time, how to be responsible, and how to support and nurture others. Since we moved to Knightdale I decided to enroll her into ballet and tap again and it looked like there were 2 options near me. I read the Yelp review for Dance Center and hoped it was a one off experience. I contacted them and Miss Cindy was super nice and responsive. Invited my daughter to attend a class to for free to see if we liked it. After class there was no sales pitch. Miss Cindy was really great with the girls so I registered my daughter. Glad I did. She loved it and it is clear she is there to learn dance and not for me to pay for something crazy every time I turn around. Get this- for the recital even though she will be doing ballet and tap routines- the costume is the same. It converts so I don't have to buy 2 overpriced costumes she will wear one day. The other studio made you buy 2. The recital tickets are a reasonable price as well. The classes start on time and run through the entire hour. Miss Cindy will call the girls out on doing something wrong so it is corrected. So this is a win/win. Daughter loves it and is learning something and I don't feel like I am a human money dispenser :) Only thing I would like is more room for parents to sit and keep items. Maybe a coat rack installed and a couple more chairs.

If I could give zero stars I would. My initial review…read moreexpressed frustration with song/choreography, pricing compared to quality, limited competitions, bullying, and poor sportsmanship. After posting my review, 2 of the choreographers made a choice to corner me at rehearsal, and be verbally aggressive in front of MY children and other people's children. When I tried to express why I felt the way I felt, they both kept interrupting me. After that I told them that everything was expressed to the owner and nothing had changed. I then told them that my kids may not be there Saturday and one of the teachers said "Good, period" and snapped his fingers. Acting this way in front of, about, and towards a neurodivergent child in your class is unprofessional. All of this behavior because I stood up for my kids, asked questions to the owner, and didn't receive much feedback or change. Even after this incident I have reached out to the owner multiple times with zero response. A teacher can be "fun" in the face of everyone but if they can't be professional when there are questions or concerns and choose to be verbally aggressive, all of your credibility goes out the window. I dont care how many awards a studio wins, especially if the example they are teaching is that a child's feelings and willingness to be better, does not matter. I just love watching her in this class…read more- her instructor plays fun princess music, they dance with little props that go along with the seasons/holidays - pumpkins, "falling" leaves, etc. One class they all got to put on a princess dress. It's a great combination of age appropriate ballet activities mixed with ballet terminology and moves. It's a busy studio, lots of dancers of all ages coming and going - and they all look very happy and excited to be there, which is a great sign! Already looking forward to the recital in June!

My daughter is encouraged to be the best person she can be! She has grown as a dancer and continues to do so every day. She started in Tippy Toes and Tappy Feet and is now part of the competitive troupe dancing in all types of dance... Ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, clogging, musical theater, hip hop, acro, and liturgical. If you are looking for a community that doesn't base their entire "being" on winning but on fostering the love of dance and expression this is a great place for your kids. The teachers love my kid like their own and work to help her grow as a person and a friend. There will always be "crazy" people that think otherwise, which is sad... We have been so impressed with the increase of confidence, Dance knowledge, poise and real friendships that our daughters have experienced. While our older daughter prefers the competitive dance teams, the studio also offers recreational classes which happens to suit my younger daughter's needs better. I would urge you to try out a class or too and get a feel for yourself. We have an extended family at this studio now and I wouldn't trade it for the world.

CDC has a strong community where older dancers encourage the younger dancers. Teachers are exceptional! CDC encourages and helps dancers find what they are good at and supports and fosters ways to grow children! This is a special place! There are three performance companies for the more serious dancer and recreation classes of genres for those style dancer. CDC"s gift is that they have performance companies and strong technique which has a blessing for my daughter. Thank you CDC for all you do for our dancers! The teachers make the class so much fun for the kids and my daughter left class singing, "I love tutu school! I love tutu school! I love tutu school!" They even provide diapers and a changing table in the bathrooms for the younger students. They sell tutus and leotards and other adorable clothes. They also have tons of ballet themed books on shelves as well as toys to keep kids busy before or after class starts/for siblings who are waiting. Also, the instructors seem to always provide a 5 minute grace period to allow for parents to make it to class a few minutes late. They don't start immediately which is very considerate for parents of young children. I highly recommend tutu school to anyone who is unsure or on the fence. They were absolutely above and beyond/ exceeded my expectations. For reference, my daughter has also tried daisy dance and twinkle tots (different ballet schools) and tutu school was hands down the best option by far.

OK so let me first say that I have called this company several times to find out information about…read morethe classes they offer. I feel it is important to check service levels not only by using the service, but "interviewing" the potential service provider. Each call resulted in ok service over the phone until this last one. I called CC & Company because I heard that they were one of the best in the area. I think the key here is "in the area". Does not mean best of the best. The classes are not actual dance classes for the little kids. Creative Movement is not something I am interested in. My children can get that at a day care. I want a dance company to provide REAL dance classes. They say that they are not able to teach kids so young. Well I could put well over a thousand youtube links that say that yes younger kids can be taught and be exceptional. Just disappointing that the daytime classes are not available and the variety is truly not there. When I asked the person on the phone for a referral of a studio in Raleigh that taught classes during the day for 4 year olds, she told me that she did not know of any other studios. This company has been open for how long and they don't know of any other companies. Just a tip. Customer service is not just about getting customers to buy from you, but being able to provide them what they need. That is what brings lifetime customers. I say CC & Company needs to really step it up and get with the market of younger children and the talent they have. Get on the same level as Disney, America's got Talent, youtube, and many others who recognize that there is talent before 5.
